Has anyone heard of this series before? This is the first time I‘ve seen this. This first book was published 1998. So far so good. Good enough that I‘ve put other books on hold!!

Congratulations to @TheLudicReader and thanks for hosting this awesome giveaway!
This was hard- because my answer is often genre based. I‘ve read Into The Wilderness, Pawn of Prophecy and Betsy Tacy more times than I can count- because they are amazing.
2. I recommend all of the above as well as The Color Of Water and lately Spillover because they are all great books.
Wow! What a tale. It chronicles a year of Elizabeth's life, her falling in love with a guy, their subsequent life... full of history and love and fighting and alsorts!
An epic saga!
Blimey. This is a chunkster of a book! 876 pages to be exact 🤔😱😳
Chosen by a book club and we've allowed 6 weeks for this one! Plus she's promised it's got some saucy love in it! 😆😜.
We shall see...
Congratulations @LaurenAshley on your 50k milestone! Thanks for offering the #la50k giveaway! Here are some of my favorite things- my family on the last night of Frozen jr- last day before shutdown, two loved books and pets!
Easing into the day with some quiet reading time on the patio...
Starting the new month with a book by a new-to-me author. I don‘t remember how I came across it but it certainly sounds intriguing and once I start, I should find myself transported to 1792 New York.
@Lizpixie I love your giveaway idea!!! Here are my 3 favorite books in my 3 favorite genres. It was not easy to choose! #lizpixies3X3giveaway Congratulations on 300K! Here‘s to 300 more!
#bookbasketgiveaway I changed this twice... but if I wanted a theme it would be warm socks, warm blanket, fire starters, bug repellant, first aid kit, hiking boots, a fun basket to carry supplies in, nuts, water, and of course a book to read. I love your idea @LaraReads !
I really, really enjoyed this epic romance! Similar to Outlander, it‘s sprawling, rich, and dramatic with a strong love story. Sara Donati has created amazing and well written characters, within a beautiful setting. I savored this story. I‘m excited for the second book!

Feel free to join in! Post a cover each day- no explanation.
I read this book because Claire and Jaime from Outlander are mentioned. This novel takes place in New York with the fight for land with the Mohawks and the people of Paradise. Problem with this book is that it has no action other than a hidden gold supply and angry men fighting over money and land. The lead character Elizabeth has a backbone but this book is too long and after page 500 I just needed it to end. Elizabeth is NOT Claire!:)
1. Does depend on genre though...
2. Avengers
3. Corn and cucumbers (grilled corn, cucumbers in vegan sour cream with salt and pepper)
4. 12 first cousins.

Over at Sara Donati's Facebook page they are just starting a series reading. This series bought together a group of my most enduring online friendships and I will see most of them again in May

The book includes travel by #sleighride in Upstate NY during the late 1700‘s- Definitely a #winterwonderland This is one of my all time favorite books, book series and authors. Rosina Lippi is very friendly and has great real life conversations via social media.

First of all, I‘m overwhelmed and full of gratitude for all the wonderful and thoughtful gifts and messages I have received today!
This is from the generous @Cinfhen aka my Litsy mom ❤️ thank you! I excited by all the books! And while I don‘t understand Niki‘s aversion to books, I do understand er wish to go to Arizona 😄
All the love to you Cindy ❤️
Some of you may remember my horror at realizing my copy of Into the Wilderness was missing 30 pages. What to do with such a book? 🔥 Well it's been sitting in my kindling pile for months! Tonight we had a power outage and in honor of #bannedbookweek I figured I'd snap a shot of the burn. Don't burn books y'all, except of course in times like these. Don't worry I own the ebook now 😉
Thank you @DebbieGrillo for the lovely box (can't wait to see what's inside!!), it was delivered ages ago while I was gone this summer, but I have neglected the litsy posting, sorry! #TCPS #teachersoflitsy
It may be hard to see, but please share my horror in discovering that there are 30 missing pages in my paperback! I was reading in a tent in Glennallen at the time of this horror and was so thankful to be in cell service to download the ebook right away! #readinghorrorstory #wtf #missingpages #thatpartwasimportant #printingmistakes
@Murphytall and I hiked the 33 mile Chilkoot trail this week! We stayed 5 night on the historic trail, leaving lots of time for reading! Along for the miles were Canery Row and the first half of Into the Wilderness (sorry @Kimberlone ). Megan lugged the weighty House of Spirits on the trail! This is at Happy Camp, the morning after we summited 🏔 #hiking #backpacking #nature #alaska #canada #chilkoot
Having surgery on Tuesday and I‘m a little nervous so I had to get my kindle loaded with some comfort reads and a couple of new ones. I‘ll probably read for 5 minutes but I feel better being prepared. 😂
I was reading Into the Wilderness while I was on vacation the past couple of weeks. It was fun to be in a mountain setting along with the characters; I imagined some of the ponds described in the book, where the main character learns to swim and bathes (brr!) to be something like this. 😊
1. Into The Wilderness
2. Miso Soup and veggie fried rice
3. Psyche reruns
4. Tuesday‘s over but anyone else who likes these questions....
2. Jo and Professor Bhaer 3. Sunflowers 4. Vegan dark chocolate truffles 5. Red
Wondering what some favorite Love Stories are in honor of Valentine‘s Day? Or favorite couples? One of my all time favorite couples are Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe. My favorite books would be Outlander and Into The Wilderness.
I wish that the last 200-250 pages could have been cut, but overall I thought this was a great read. This was a little outside my comfort zone and had some very large similarities to Outlander, but different enough to recommend to all Outlander fans. I won't be carrying on with the remaining books in the series as the first was good enough for me.
A decent book. I enjoyed it enough to finish it, but just not enough to be interested in the sequel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
31.5 weeks pregnant and only one comfortable position available. Doing a lot of reading today. About 200 pages into 'into the wilderness' and re-reading #ACOTAR before #ACOWAR comes out. 👍🏻
Just me, my baby bump, 4 pillows and a heating pad. #31weekspregnant #yay

Often recommended by me for lovers of historical fiction
This book was ok. I was disappointed I didn't enjoy it more, because it had many elements that I like, especially the strong female characters. At some point, I will try the next in the series. I thought Donati's The Gilded Hour was much more interesting. On a fun note, I was so excited this morning to collect Jeeves and Sapphire in my kitten collector game! 😻😻

Thank you @RestingBodiceFace for the awesome package! I have not read either of these books and I love all of the little notes! I can't wait to get started on these!

Audiobook-in'! I'll admit that when I saw this cover art, I thought it was going to be a light romance set in early America. It is not. It is a wonderfully complex story of many people with so much more depth than I hoped for!!
Sometimes you open the pages of a book and it's like coming home. You know the feeling… the one where you want to get comfortable, settle in, and stay awhile. This is that kind of book.
Great writing, satisfying storylines, and interesting characters. Along with my love for #Outlander, who would have ever guessed that historical romances would be at the top of my list?
#historicalromance #romance #IntoTheWilderness
Good read. A bit disjointed in some areas but didn't take away the fun of reading. Plus there was a reference to Claire, Jamie, and Ian. That's automatically a win for me.
