This book is very well written (hence the Pulitzer Prize winner in 2020) but it also hits on some very powerful topics. This is a quick read, with great character development and a surprising ending. Happy reading!

This book dives right into a dystopian world where people are farming people and killing them for meat. It is worth the read, especially for some of the statements it makes, but be aware this isn‘t for the faint of heart.
Very well written book. The first section is a little slow but it provides the background for the rest of this story. Hard to stomach this story and it really left me with a lot of questions.
This book is written in letter format which I was skeptical about initially. Be aware it is about gun violence in a small town. The main character is working through his grief by helping the brother of the gunman. The pieces of this book come together just when you need them to. I didn‘t have dry eyes when it ended. Definitely a tear jerker but a worthwhile read.
This book was an incredible read. The characters are rich, the dialogue is mesmerizing and did I mention the character work?! This story touches on so many rich topics from a variety of viewpoints. The author does an incredible job of keeping the reader engaged in the story. I am already reading his next book.
David Sedaris is always a good bet if you enjoy hysterical short stories about his life. Be forewarned, you will laugh aloud very loudly and people will stare at you!
If you don‘t follow Celeste Barber on Instagram, you need to. This book will make you laugh out loud and cause people to stare at you. I love her comments about women and how she talks about body shaming.
If you like a tale of Irish and Italian mafia then this is the book for you. A quick read but kind of blah and the ending left room for so much more.
David Sedaris doesn‘t disappoint in this book. His quips about his family vacations are second only to his story about feeding a snapping turtle a frozen tumor!
Well written memoir about loss and the challenges of balancing cultures. This book is focused around food and it made me want to eat so much!
This book is a treasure that should be on everyone‘s reading list. The inflection, tone and way that the author connects all of the characters is masterful.
This is an engaging, poignant and emotional read. This memoir is so well written that you are cheering them on throughout the book. A great read!
Fun historical fiction novel. Characters are engaging, World War II story was intriguing and a happy ending.
Excellent overview of the opiate crisis in America. The author does an excellent job of pulling together all the pieces that led to this crisis. An engaging read that is excellent.
Well written book that talks about the coverup and influence by major media companies surrounding Harvey Weinstein.
