Sitting outside in this beautiful weather reading. Had a humming bird pass through. It was right about my head. All I heard were its wings. Then I saw it in front of me.

Reading this one. While sitting outside with a yummy cup of coffee. Who else loves to sot outside and read?
Got to see all these amazing ladies this evening!! Wendy Walker, Rebecca Drake, Cate Holahan, Rea Frey, and Sara Shepard.
Side note - Cate Holahan and I have matching tattoos (slight variation)!
I love my #funkopopandswap !! Thanks @BarkingMadRun for the books and Sam 🥰 and thanks to @kstadt929 for hosting 🤗🤗🤗
Good, quick suspense novel. Good twists, strong narration. I think the storyline got a bit confusing in some parts because of it going back and forth between the different plots that were so similar. Overall, I liked it!
Yet another pick from the never ending, forever growing TBR pile lol

This book had me guessing about who the killer was the whole time. It had me on the edge of my seat! I didn‘t see it coming when I found out what happened and it was a shocker. Definite must read!
I‘m finally trying to get caught up on my BOTM picks!
Friday night with the Hubster and the Dorkie! #dogsoflitsy
The Malerman book just wasn‘t working for me. I switched to an unreliable narrator thriller bc...that‘s my wheelhouse 🕵🏻♀️ Having a glass of 🍷 and snuggling with my partner in crime
This book was...weird. I listened on audio and while I liked the book within a book trope, the endings of both stories felt super far-fetched to me. In particular, the end of Beth‘s story didn‘t seem to fit her character. Liza‘s ending felt incredibly off. I enjoyed both narrators but would have likely bailed if reading this in print. It was very head-scratching all the way around. 🤷♀️🤔
Any further #audiowalking will need to be done inside. The sun is out but that wind is wicked! Also, once again, I‘m not sure audiobooks are for me. Even with nothing to distract me (other than making sure I don‘t fall), I still have no idea what‘s happening. 😬😬
Starting this while working on some new bookmarks since the kids are at the inlaws.
Not a bad read. I liked the whole story within a story. But it was way too predictable. 3/5⭐️
Book 2 of #24in48 finished!! Told in alternating chapters, between author Liza & her new book. author Liza is struggling to write her next novel, dealing with hormone treatments in her quest to get pregnant, & helping her lawyer husband deal with the disappearance of his law partner & best friend. The book focuses on Beth & her cheating lawyer husband. When the missing man is found Liza‘s husband is arrested but what if life is mirroring her book?
While I didn‘t find this book to be complete dreck, unfortunately it‘s close. Poorly written and with 2 alternating story lines which are far too similar, it‘s a good idea executed poorly. And one character is depicted in wildly different ways depending upon what seems to be convenient. The only reason I didn‘t bail was that I‘m using this for my MountTBR challenge. Very disappointing.
I had this figured out way too early, but I'm still giving it a 👍. #LitsyAtoZ #letterL #MountTBR 💖📚
Y‘all... I‘m 50 pages away from the end and I‘m having anxiety because I don‘t know how both of these story lines are going to resolve that quickly 😳😳😳
Have you read Lies She Told yet? It will be on my list for next year! #18toreadin2018
If you didn't have this in a #BOTM box but have it on your TBR - the e-book is on sale currently for $1.99! #ebookdeals #PSA
(Ok NOW I'm off to the holiday party 😂)
I‘m being watched!! 😳

1. Just taking a break from reading, my hubby in the background looking at the chive most likely 😂
2. Thankfully nothing! Hate the color pink!
3. Love This Is Us, I like comedies too but never was a huge fan of the office, I like Big Bang Theory
4. I‘ve been trying to come up with ideas for my party and all I‘ve come up with are mugs or ornaments.
5. It‘s probably a tie between Small Great Things or The Hearts Invisible Furies
I was attempting to take a cute picture of my reading buddy tonight and I‘m dying! 😂😂😂😂 I couldn‘t get a pic like this again if I tried! Perfect timing for a yawn! #catsoflitsy #luna

Our #BookClub spread from earlier today over at my bestie's house. Twas delish!
As for the book, we pretty much all agreed that although it was decently written & we enjoyed the 'story within a story ' perspective which provided double the mystery, there was just too much predictability and we felt the ending was weak & lack luster.

Picked up my book club's latest selection which I'm not exactly excited about.... think I might be currently burned out on 'thrillers' lol.
Anyone read this? Hope it's decent!
This book was just ok. It was a fast read, but the story and the characters didn‘t grab me as much as I would have liked. I did enjoy the book within a book that the author created.
I may have gotten a little carried away at the library... Let me know if you've read and would recommend any of the books in this stack. 📚

This was a solid thriller. I'm a sucker for the whole story-within-a-story trope and I love unreliable narrators anyway, but this one was incredibly well done. However, I read way too many thrillers, so it's been awhile since I've managed to find one that surprises me with the ending. But that's on me, and not a negative critique of the writing.
Written so that it's difficult to keep straight what is really happening & what's happening to the character she's writing.
My goal in November is to finish the two I am reading now and to read a bunch on my kindle.
