😱😱😱
Just saw a gentleman take his stack of library picks and shove them back on a random shelf.
Not sure if it‘s the ex retail worker in me, or just my respect for the library, but I had a minor panic attack 😂😭
Look at the gorgeous (fake) fireplace feature in the reading nook at the new library in walking distance from my apartment! It also has 3 study rooms with dry erase painted walls, perfect for me to write out my goals/tasks when working on my dissertation. I'll be spending a lot of time here!

I love our library!!!
My library has been under renovation all year, but it finally opens back up tomorrow! 🎉🎊🎉🎊
I‘ll be getting my little one her first library card, and replacing mine 😬😊 We‘re both pretty excited!
I'm really bad at scheduling my holds, especially the digital ones. Time to shun my responsibilities and start my hermitage. 😛
Been at a library #conference in Scranton today learning about the new GALE database system! Meeting other librarians is always great 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! Oh, and learning new library things too 😆. Yeah, I'm sitting in the front row. Nerd alert. ☺️🤓
Are any of my fellow librarians on here familiar with GALE?

The library is closed today. In South Dakota we celebrate Native American Day instead of Columbus Day. But Peri and I are here checking the drops and checking in materials.
📚 Here are some #shelfie pictures - built two new bookcases this week and rearranged nearly all of the furniture and books. 📚
1) BSC/kids/YA live together now!

10) religious, comics, women's fiction
So...not to keep bombarding you guys with my personal stuff, buuuuuut
Remember how I started yesterday as a library aide? Well today, I went in and the library director OFFERED ME THE LIBRARIAN POSITION.
I‘m a real life librarian now.
I‘m so excited to be making the transition from working for a chain bookstore to working for a library. It‘s going to be amazing!
Reorganizing my shelves today and deciding what I actually want to read.
So far I have these two stacks to donate to my library. The Teen section usually only has one copy of a hardcover for checkout, so these will get processed and added to the shelves. 📚Gives me warm fuzzies. 🐰
I adore the library in Singapore‘s shopping district Orchard Road. It‘s a lovely quiet respite from all the usual mall shops and people. And it‘s so beautiful.
My weekly library newsletter arrived today and look what was in it! I look forward to this sale all year. Cannot wait!!!
Just saw an announcement that our library is hosting a book sale September 19-24...just in time for us to stock up on new books before we have a week off at the cabin following our wedding!!! (Before we take our honeymoon next spring!) SO EXCITED
I have a big announcement I want to share with my litsy family! 💕 Recently the librarian in charge of the children's dept informed me that one of their librarians are retiring, and that she thought I would be perfect for the job. So I took a chance and applied (despite only been working as a page there for a few months) AND I GOT THE JOB! As of next month, I will be a part time children's librarian in my library! I'm so excited and grateful! 😄📚
We've been staying in the Adirondacks for the last few days. On this rainy day we went into town and I couldn't pass up a stop at the Inlet Library. I'm a sucker for a new library (and so is my daughter). 😍
Local library book sale! $2 per hard back and $.75 for paperback! And they look brand new!
I got to visit the library of Congress a few days ago for a special tour. It was so cool to visit all the old pretty books.
My daughter and I are at my parents' local library for a Summer Kickoff Party! Music, books, raffles, and ice cream...sounds good to me! 😁 #librariesrock
Library haul! Getting ready for a trip to Indiana which means 12 hours in the car each way. Each kid filled a bag, and I added some as well- even though the last thing I need is more books to read!
Hello Littens, I‘ve missed you all!! It‘s only been a week since I‘ve been on here, but it feels like forever 😂 Exciting things are happening this month! My birthday was last week and this upcoming weekend I start at a new job!! With health and dental insurance!!!! I‘m so excited 😂
Today I braved the Florida hell-heat to run some errands and finally got to the newly renovated library! I picked up this stack of graphic novels 😎
Near the old marble staircase in my lovely library that I'm so lucky to work at.
As the adult portion of the summer reading program at our library, if you read 8 books, a book will be donated to a child's home library. I love this! ❤️
I got a badge just for registering 😂
I decided a wander around the library before preschool pickup was needed after having spent most of my morning at the doctor, getting a chest X-ray and learning I have pneumonia
This is an open air library in my city. You can take books whenever you want or add your own. It‘s such an awesome idea. They turn art into a way to share books. 💙

We brake for library book sales!
1. Rarely—I own so many books I haven‘t read that I don‘t have time for more. Once I‘m in the library, all self-control disappears & I leave with a stack that I don‘t read & end up paying massive late fees for! Easier to avoid.
2. Trinity College Old Library, Dublin & Austrian National Library, Vienna
3. None—still avoiding (but I think of it often, & longingly)
4. I think I was 9. Before that, I made do with my school library.

1. A lot. Probably at least weekly.
2. Trinity College Library in Dublin. Visiting soon!
3. A Gentleman in Moscow, Time Pieces
4. My hometown didn't have a library, but the bookmobile came from a neighboring town. I think I had a card by age seven. Bookmobile day was so exciting! #NationalLibraryWeek

So excited our local library used a photo of Haven for their children's book week flyer!!! I hope that it inspires a few kids in our community to check out books and fuel their imagination!
❤️❤️❤️📚📖
1. Twice per week
2. Oh man that is tough to answer, too many!
3. Just picked up my holds for The Music Shop and Two Girls Down!
4. I was either 6 or 7.

Happy National Library Week! 📖📚
Looking forward to Haven's child enrichment class at our library tomorrow and picking up some much anticipated holds.
How should I concentrate on my father's taxes, when I sit in my mum's library? 😕🤷
I went to an EPIC library sale today. The Friends here mean business! It was alphabetized, organized, and overflowing with good books. I will post my impressive book haul later.
I made a quick stop in my favourite library today, just because I was in the area and I simply couldn‘t resist it. I did a quick walk around, with tears in my eyes because I‘m just so excited to be getting married there in 6 short months. I couldn‘t leave without taking a few minutes to stand and admire my favourite stained glass window. I‘ll be exchanging my vows under this beautiful William Shakespeare window, and I honestly can‘t wait. 👰🏼🤵🏻
