My goal was to finish books that I started, some of them ages ago. I am actually impressed at the amount of books I managed to finish. I did not finish the one book/ARC I had intended to finish before its pub-day though. (I don't want the story to end.)

Finished 7 books. Among them several ARCs.

Started another 4 books, though.

And X books are still being read. 🤪

#FabulousFebruary @Andrew65

rockpools I love the X books in progress. I have the same number! 4y
Andrew65 That‘s brilliant, well done 👏👏👏🙌🍾🥂🍾🥂🥳🚀 Thanks for playing along. 😊 4y

So last month I compiled my stats for May, and then didn't post them. Lol Oops. My one graph cut off one of the completed books. I read 4 in May.

#2020Stats #2020YTD

14 books so far:
Jan - 5
Feb - 3

May is Asian and Pacific Islander American Heritage Month, so I am thinking of moving some Asian American authors to the top of my TBR stack. We'll see what happens. Hopefully I will get back some of my reading mojo soon.

2020 YTD ...

Okay, seems kind of silly to post this in January, but it will be more interesting as the months progress. Besides, it's fun to make collages of screenshots. 😜

There is similar stats on Goodreads, but I don't update that as regularly as I do the tracker apps I use. I use 4 tracker apps: #Beanstack, #Bookly (free version, for infographs), #readtracker (for note taking), and #ReadingPlanner (for deadline goals). #stats2020 #stats

Trying something new with my stats this year.

Using #Beanstack app to track monthly and cumulative reading stats for 2020. Here is pgs, mins, and books completed for Jan. I like Bookly, but I'm not a fan of paying a subscription. This app is free and connected to my library district, so I can use it to participate in challenges and programs as well. I can also track my kids' reading on it if I want.

#stats #jan2020stats

MartinaLove What app do you use for collage and the fun stickers? 5y
SleepyDragon @MartinaLove The app is called Pic Collage. I use the free version, which is why there is a watermark in the lower right corner. 5y
SleepyDragon @MartinaLove And the stickers are actually in the Litsy photo editor. I used the Litsy app for this post, but the stickers are also available in the website version. 😁 5y

I‘ve been bored. I love statistics and charts and the Book Riot spreadsheet is fabulous, so I went through all of my Goodreads history and created charts for each year I‘ve kept records. I knew Litsy had a huge impact on my reading, but it‘s fun and a little stunning to see it on a pie chart.

Emilymdxn Oooh I really want to do this 6y
Hollie I‘m using the Book Riot spreadsheet for the first time and I‘m loving the graphs! 6y
DGRachel @Hollie This is the first year I used their spreadsheet, but I had time to kill so I saved a file for each year that I‘ve kept records in Goodreads, then did a combined spreadsheet of all records, then just pre-Litsy, and another just post-Litsy. Yep...had time to kill. 😂 6y

Didn't have a lot of time for reading this month, so I just took it easy and enjoyed a slower than normal pace. Didn't have a chance to do stats till today, either. Holidays make for a busy time.

Read 2 books:
✔Dust Tracks on the Road
✔National Parks and the Woman's Voice #tbrsupplemental, #readharder #nature
Both nonfiction
#readharder2018: 23/24 - Almost there!
#MtTBRChallenge: 25/18

I've read 19 physical copies off my shelves - goal is 24

I noticed other people posting pages read in their updates, and I was curious about my own stats. So I figured it out. I don't do audio, so all books I read add to the total page count.

1. 75% ebooks 85%* audiobooks (usually have and read at least part of the book in another format), 20% Hardcover and less than 5% paperback
2. 90% buy... But borrowing more audiobook version of books I own since I commute a lot
3. Lol ebooks are bad.... Hundreds maybe 500?
4. Have audible membership but no longer subscribe
5. No, but I am cutting back
6. Either
7. Not that I know
8. Lol maybe a couple months

#litsyquestions
@Kaye

Kaye Yea I do the same sometimes with books. I might read parts then check out the audio of the same book from the library. That way I can get through it faster. Sounds like you have a big tbr 😁 7y
Ubookquitous @Kaye huge TBR - goal is to read 90% from books I own and only buy less than 15% of the total I read last year - almost 100 books so I can only buy 13-15. Sooooo hard. Lol I found I wanted to read books that have been on my shelf for a while but since I spend a lot of hours driving it made sense to get the audio 7y
Kaye Yes I think when you tell yourself NOT to buy something it bugs you even more. I‘ll keep fingers crossed for you that your system will work this year. 7y

I marvel at everyone who can do bullet journaling - I love seeing your work!

This year, I wanted to capture my progress a bit differently so decided to type up everything. I‘m very pleased this month, though I have to pick up the pace a bit with challenges. Oh well...I still have 11 months to go!

LibrarianJen I think that is awesome! Maybe I should type mine and then paste it into my journal 😂 7y

230 wonderful littens played along, and I am completely amazed by this and very grateful! ❤️

But... I've to cut down on how often I make these #bookishwouldyourather posts. I love doing this and seeing the answers, but it takes a lot of time and energy, that I need elsewhere. It's not going away, but it won't be here every week either. I hope you all still want to play along when I post monthly. 🤞

Are you surprised by any of the answers? ☺️

Simona Great job with statistic and I can imagine how time-consuming is this little game, thank you! 😘 7y
Simona ... and yes, I'm surprised by the cover/first page answers. I was expecting more cover buyers ... 7y
Moray_Reads Thank you for your amazing effort, I love these but they shouldn't take all your time. I was a bit surprised by cover Vs first page and fantasy Vs reality! 7y

LibrarianJen Thank you for doing these they are great! I totally understand needing to prioritize time in other areas and I think monthly sounds perfect 😊 7y
underthebelljar Thanks again for doing these! I'm a little surprised by the large gap between wine and beer drinkers. 7y
needleminding I have no doubt it's time consuming! And I can completely understand. Thanks for doing it at all! I'll happily participate once a month, or however often you choose to do it. 😊 7y
Kalalalatja @Simona @Moray_Reads thanks for your kind words 💕 I was surprised by the cover vs first page as well! I had also expected that cover buyers would greatly out number those buying based on first page! And Moray, I hadn't expected so many to choose fantasy either! 7y
Kalalalatja @LibrarianJen @jaimeisbionic thanks for understanding! ☺️ (edited) 7y
Kalalalatja @BookishJess thanks for playing along! ☺️ I had thought there would be a lot more beer drinkers! And I really hadn't expected so many to choose something different! 7y
Mc_cart_ny It looks like we were pretty evenly split on a lot of things. These are fun but they do seem like a lot of work!! Just doing them every so often or maybe once a month would still be fun!! 7y
Soubhiville So fun to see the results! I'll be happy to play whenever you feel like posting one. Self care is important, don't spread yourself too thin! And be sure you leave yourself reading time 😊 7y
Kalalalatja @Mc_cart_ny I think this might be the first time where the answers were so close on so many questions 👍 I am not ready to let them go yet, but I just can't keep up with once a week either, so monthly seems like a good alternative 7y
Kalalalatja @Soubhiville I will, and thank you ☺️ 7y
EllieDottie Thanks for putting all the work in to put this together! And you should never feel pressure! I'll jump in whenever I see it! It's so fun! 7y

#SplashIntoSummerReads #day30 #WrapUp My June wrap up is pretty slim, I've only read half of what I usually average in a month. My eyesight is so bad now, I'm having difficulty reading anything. Even watching TV is hard, when I push through and read, I'm getting headaches every night. Ok, enough of my whining, the books I did read this month have all been good, I loved Nimona & Stalking Jack The Ripper but One Of Us Is Lying was fantastic!

JoeStalksBeck 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️ 7y
BekahB I've been curious about One of Us is Lying. It sounds like a good thriller. I'll have to see if my library has it! 😀 7y
