The simplicity of fall!!!
The simplicity of fall!!!

1. I am a farm girl through and through
2. Set in door county Wisconsin which is someplace I would love to have a vacation home!

This is a soft pick. It was cheesy and predictable and would make a good Hallmark movie. It was set in an apple orchard from June to November so this is a good time of the year to read it, a good summer to autumn transition book. You definitely want to have some apples or apple products ready to eat. And I appreciate the recipe at the end of the book.
I cared about these characters from the start. Having enjoyed apple orchards, and pressing cider with my family, I could smell the apples as they were described. Great autumn read.
I really like this author's writing. And I liked this story. My only complaint is I didn't like the main character, Sanna. It's clear she is guarded & why, but she acts childish, hardly apologizes, and basically gets between Isaac and his son which is a huge no-no to me. She has her reasons, but instead of stepping back & letting Isaac figure things out with his son, she makes it about her. I finished, just never got around to liking Sanna.
I got a chance to hang out with some hilarious writers last night so if you have a spare 30 minutes today and you want to hear about some good books and a few St. Patrick‘s Day traditions, as well as a recipe for something that includes Cool Whip, you can check out the link in my bio for the Bloom Room 🍀
I'm honestly not sure I've done either one but an apple orchard sounds lovely.
Soup!
Cinnamon dolce--caramel apple spice forever 😍
I'd like to go on a hayride that leads to a beachy bonfire please.
I want approximately four bites of pumpkin pie every couple of months. I've had a lot of mediocre apple pies and have no further patience for them, but if it's a really good apple pie, I'm all in for that.

Sweet easy fall read. This book had me craving cider and I‘m even going to attempt to bake an apple cobbler this weekend. Feel good read with a happy ending, warm people, warm food, fuzziness all around. It was a bit hallmark movie” but I didn‘t mind
🍂☕️🍎🥧🌳
So far this book has me
1) Wanting to move to Wisconsin and
2) Craving cider 🍎
I‘m in love with the characters and the farm and the descriptions of how an orchard is run and how cider is made,
I‘ve only just started it but so far,🥰👍🏼
A woman trying hard to make perfect ciders in her family's failing apple orchard, and a single father trying to give his son the perfect summer before delivering devastating news. It had the feel of a Hallmark movie, with both characters having to deal with issues but coming together because they are just better with one another.
It goes like this ...Mom of adorable, young boy dies. Hunky dad leaves busy California with said boy, for the slower life of gorgeous Door County, Wisconsin. They land at an apple orchard run by rugged but beautiful, single women and her fun-loving aging father. Oh, and there is the fear of unfeeling developers buying out the farm. Is this not a predicate for a Hallmark movie!? Still, a fun easy read.

The last week or so, there‘s been a slight shift, autumn is coming to a close & we‘re slipping into the dark of winter. Although most of the leaves have lost their vibrant hues & fallen from the trees, & the natural world is preparing for a long winter nap, I‘m not quite ready to let go of this beautiful & bountiful season. So for a final autumn hurrah, I‘m reading this book. I‘ve heard it‘s delightful, magical & the perfect autumn read.
Apples 🍎, spiced cider, Wisconsin, Door County, autumn foliage, apple farms: all my favorite things 🍁🍂🍁

This book has me craving Fall more than usual🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁 The story is simple and sweet with a nice slow burn romance in the background. I want to bake apple desserts now too!
Harper! This couldn‘t have come at a better time! Thank you sooo much!! This candle smells so wonderful!! Can‘t wait to read this book!! You have definitely made my week! Thanks for your generosity and your friendship 💗💗💗

Reading the tagged book that I picked up from the library and listening to “Repeat” by Kylie Scott both I‘m enjoying so far. Both have somewhat cranky blunt heroines and dreamy heroes.

Tagged book from the library, “Free” by Kristen Ashley and a not great audiobook “Addicted for Now” by Krista & Becca Ritchie which I‘m on the verge of giving up on.
@TheReadingMermaid
Sunday morning read. Went to renew my library card, which I mainly use for Libby, and could not walk out without a couple books. #libraryfind
I finished this book at 1am last night. A story full of apple orchards, family drama, and a bit of magical realism thrown in! A fun escape to a lovely place. It was everything I wanted it to be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
@CoffeeNBooks ❤️💚❤️💚😘
Harper! This was a surprise! I opened it and it made me cry. You are so incredibly kind. Life has been a bit overwhelming lately and I can‘t tell you how much this meant to me. I am starting this book right now this very minute. I‘m sending much love your way- thank you, my friend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I loved this book so much!! I love how Reichert‘s prose pulls you and you can almost the apples in the orchard!! A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for sure!!
I was concerned when I first began this book that with all the detail behind cider-making and maintaining an orchard, which I know nothing about, I would get lost and almost bailed. However, I am so glad I didn‘t! This book was incredible! Read in one day and already want more Amy Reichert in my life!
I love this book. Not quite as much as Coconut Cake but it‘s really good. I am happy I read it as the season is changing. I craved apples and cider while reading it. The descriptions are lovely. The family drama is thick but not too angsty. I‘m not a fan of children in my romance novels but this was a cool kid. #readwomen #romantsy
New book mail 😊
Charming and satisfying ???

May your evening reading bring you as much joy as Sabrina's tennis ball brings her. #happyreading 🤓🐶
It's been a little crazy lately. Happy to have a quiet evening to put a dent in a book. And hang with my fur baby girl. ❤️🐶🤓📖
@Ajessgirl @Kenziejo @4thhouseontheleft I got this the other day and forgot to post. I enjoyed reading everyone‘s comments! This was super cool. Can‘t wait to send An American Marriage! #LMBPC
I have quibbles with various aspects of Amy Reichert‘s books. But that doesn‘t change that they are fun reads with entertaining romances and characters. My favorite of hers is The Coincidence of Coconut Cake but this is a close second.
Have you read any of her books?
Another charming food-centric romance from Amy E. Reichert as a cider-maker and a single dad spend the summer working together on a Door County orchard. #MountTBR
The weekends here want to stay winter. 😒 At least I have good books to read.
I adored The Coincidence of Coconut Cake and snapped this #KindleDailyDeal (and its audiobook for an additional $7.49) up without a second thought.
A girl from Door County reading about Door County in a book that‘s also from Door County #howfitting #doorcounty #wisconsin #librarybooks
Starting the weekend off with my current #LMPBC pick and yummy tea, courtesy of the lovely @4thhouseontheleft
This is where I decided to bail. I just can't.
This was a fun, light, cute book. Just the right amount of depth without losing it‘s fluffiness. I would definitely recommend if you need a break from harder subject matter!
Plus, there are recipes in the back. I love when authors do that! #LMPBC #LitsyAtoZ
This book keeps making me hungry. In a month I am trying to stay gluten free. 😂 🥘 🥖 🥧 🍝
So....yeah....today was definitely a case of a book influencing dinner. 😆
Sanna and her father had cheesy chicken noodle casserole, green beans and apple cobbler. I didn‘t want chicken (just had it last night), but it definitely put me in the mood for a casserole, so I made baked ziti, salad, and (store bought) apple pie.
I guess that‘s what happens when. I read a book set on an orchard. 😂

I just heard a cat cough up a hairball downstairs. 🙀😾
I know I should get up and clean it up, but I also know once I‘m up there will be no more reading time this morning.
Plus, it‘s warm and cozy in my bed, and freezing cold downstairs. Brrr....
Thank you @Kenziejo for the extra goodies with the next #LMPBC book! Received it today! #bookmail
@Ajessgirl Your package was sent priority, it should arrive on Friday. My life is finally getting back to normal (knock on wood), so I should have really quick turn around with this one!
@riversong153
@riversong153 I received the first book! Can't wait to start reading it and your comments. 😁 #LMPBC
