Here are a few more of the many pictures I took in Narnia. I may go back later this week and sit on the beach and read.

Got this for $4 at the op shop, all 7 books! Bargain! Obviously these stories are a product of their time, and have 'issues'.. luckily I'm a discerning reader.. 🤪 I never read these when I was young, overall they were a lovely little escape!
#WondrousWednesday. @Eggs
1. Narnia- I just did a CS Lewis, Joy Davidman, Narnia mini- immersion, & read Once Upon a Wardrobe and drove to Wheaton College to listen to Patti Callahan speak & and look at Lewis‘, Davidman‘s & Tolkien‘s manuscripts
2. Today I‘m thankful for Fall weather
3. Do you want to play? @Chrissyreadit @Betty @LibrarianRyan
@ EadieB thanks for the tag!
Stumped, I was, on how I might submit for today‘s prompt of #Cauldron for #Scarathlon #PhotoChallenge. I have two eBooks in play so I searched for the theme in each: no hits. And nothing on my bookshelves... But then, I decided to search on “book cauldron”; first hit was an image of the boxed set of my very favorite children‘s books! Some more subsequent searching and I find mention of the source of Narnia‘s Great River: Cauldron Pool. 🤩
An interesting book I have found!! The Narnia cookbook!! Now I must have the whole chronicles of Narnia ... I can‘t believe I don‘t have a single one!!
I‘ve been terrible at checking in with the #NarniaReadalong this week. 😅 Finished The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and oof, the nostalgia! 🥺❤️
Why are book battles always so much longer and elaborate in my head/memory than in the actual stories? I know the films obviously elaborated on it, but still!
I can‘t wait to move on to Prince Caspian, I‘ve been saving up my Ben Barnes photos for this special occasion. 😂🤣😂
.
.
I did warn you. 😜🤣
1. Tagged
2. As close as I can possibly get to how libraries organize theirs. Categories/genres, then author. Authors that span multiple genres, like Stephen King, get their own separate section. Nonfiction‘s a bit more involved, and mimics the Dewey Decimal System.
3. A “sort-of selfie” with a shelfie! 😅 I collect dolls, and have an obsession with Monster High so an artsy friend made me a custom ME! ❤️😱❤️ Isn‘t she the cutest?!?! ❤️🥰❤️
Innocent. Nostalgic. Charming.

Thanks for the tag @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick ❤️
Tagging if you want to play and haven‘t:
This scene is equal parts sad and funny. I can‘t imagine having seen Father Christmas in the flesh and then suddenly the White Witch swoops down on you screeching ”he couldn‘t have possibly been here”! I‘d totally be the baby squirrel... 🥄🐿 😅
My precious boy is finally starting to realize what an absolute wretched little bastard he‘s been. 🥺❤️
#NarniaReadalong @CaffeineAndCandy
I‘m definitely showing my age with this read-through. I don‘t think I‘ve ever been so upset about Edmund forgetting his coat! 😂🤣😂🤣 Narnia winter must not be so bad if he can traipse through miles of snow in his Summer clothes. 🧐
I think it‘s adorable that the most offensive thing he can think to doodle on the lion is a pair of spectacles and a ‘stache. 🤭🤗
#NarniaReadalong @CaffeineAndCandy
? question: I've always been confused about the "correct" order to read the Chronicles of Narnia. There's "publication order" but I don't know exactly what that means when the book I've got starts with "The Magician's Nephew." I have to admit "Nephew" is kinda boring. What's the significance of the order? I hope my question makes sense!!

• Getting ready to jump into the #Narniareadalong. I've been meaning to return to this one for some time now. I've got the reading schedule so if time allows, I'll indulge. Picking up where I left off (hopefully!!) •

Mr. Beaver‘s been reading too many Stephen King novels... 😂🤣 Honestly though, this line is certainly creepy. Makes one wonder what exactly is running around the woods of Narnia. ⊙︿⊙
In other news: ₳ʂƖąŋ ıʂ ɧɛཞɛ!! ❤️❤️🦁❤️❤️
#NarniaReadalong @CaffeineAndCandy
I made sure to get in my daily chapter for the #NarniaReadalong done before I dive into The Toll. I have a feeling I won‘t come up for air again until my body forces me to go to sleep. 😅 It‘s the last of this glorious series and I am both dreading and yearning for it to be all wrapped up. ❤️🥰❤️
Let‘s see what‘s happened to my precious babies! 🥺
#narniareadalong folks- does anyone know if there an illustrated set? I‘d like one for my son.
When I was younger, I didn‘t realize there were different types of “robins” and so I always pictured the American robin (left) when the little guide was mentioned in the story. Given the geographical location of the wardrobe in our world, I now assume Lewis is referencing the European robin (right). Although Narnia being a magical place, I suppose it could be either. 😅
Which of the two do you guys imagine while reading?
#NarniaReadalong
So this is a perfect story to listen to on the my morning commute to work....I am so glad I joined the #narniareadlong even tho I was late....it‘s so good/imaginative.....I am reliving seeing the movie for the first time in my head. Thanks @CaffeineAndCandy for doing this!!!!
I cackled at this tonight. 😂🤣 Everybody‘s dogging on poor Edmund! Between Litsy and the White Witch, the poor kid can‘t catch a break. 😅
In all fairness, I absolutely get why people don‘t like him, but he‘s still my boy. 😊❤️
(I also just now made the fun connection between his character and one of my favorite characters from my other all-time favorite series, The Wheel of Time! 😅🤣 Edmund = Mat!! ❤️🥰❤️)
#NarniaReadalong
My precious boy, Edmund, finds his way into Narnia for the first time. ❤️🌲❄️
It‘s so hard to read these short chapters and actually STOP! I read half the next page before catching myself. 😅🤣😂
#NarniaReadalong @CaffeineAndCandy
So I recently discovered there was a #buddyread on #litsy and sadly I have never read this books. I fell in love with the movies when they came out. They were, in my mind anyway, #EPIC and I could only imagine how the books are. Thanks @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm for bring this to my attention. #narniareadalong @CaffeineAndCandy
When The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was released in theaters in 2005, my mom drove my two best friends and I through an ice storm to see it. I bought us each a stuffed lion so we could have our own “Aslan”. Mine‘s a bit scruffy from being so well-loved, but he‘s just as adorable as ever! 😅
Speaking of adorable, how cute is Mr. Tumnus with his little umbrella and dainty goats hooves? 🥰
Also: Is sardines a common treat to look forward to? 🤭
Today is the first day of the #NarniaReadalong Just use the hashtag and tag me to be sure I see your posts. Questions? Comments? Complaints? Quotes? Whatever it is, we want to know about it! Happy reading! 🧙♂️🦉🐴🦁
It‘s been forever since I‘ve read the series in its entirety so I‘ve decided to join in on the Narnia read long that @CaffeineAndCandy is hosting starting tomorrow. #NarniaReadalong
GUYS!! @CaffeineAndCandy is hosting a Readalong for The Chronicles of Narnia! It‘s open, no sign-up required! JOIN US! This will be my first time ever reading them in publication order. I‘ve always read them in timeline order. I‘m intrigued to see if I can notice a difference in how I absorb the story. Very excited to share with fellow fans and first-timers! Squee!!
Expect undue amounts of fangirling from me throughout. You‘ve been warned. 🦁🥰😅
@CaffeineAndCandy is hosting a great read along for the coming months!
I‘ve been wanting to reread these for awhile, and am super excited to be able to in a different way.
If you've been looking for a reason to read The Chronicles of Narnia series (finally! or again!), I'll be joining @CaffeineAndCandy on a #NarniaReadalong beginning March 1.
If anyone is interested @CaffeineAndCandy is hosting a read along/chapter a day reading of the Chronicles of Narnia starting in March, check out her post for more details.
#NarniaReadAlong
These are the dates for the #NarniaReadalong
Each new book is started on either the following Sunday or on the 1st of the month. We will be reading a chapter a day. I hope this works for everyone. Let me know if there's any problems. I'm super excited and I hope you all are as well!
Hey all! #NarniaReadalong begins March 1, and I have a couple preference questions for you guys. Some have suggested reading in order of publication instead of in the order of the series. How does everyone feel about that? Publication order or series order? Also, there are about 200 pages in each book. What do you think is a good time frame to read each one? A week? Two weeks? Three weeks? A month? Pick one!
@CaffeineAndCandy is planning a #NarniaReadAlong starting in March.
Today‘s kindle sale in the US is series reads, and almost all of the Narnia books are included if anyone is interested.
Super yay 🥳 guys!!!
It has been decided by popular demand that there will be a #NarniaReadalong 🤓🦁🧙♀️🐴!!! We will be starting on March 1, 2021 and I will put up a reading and discussion schedule as we get closer to the start. Until then I wish everyone the best of luck in finding or purchasing your copy. I eagerly look forward to hearing your input and reading along with you all!
Wondering if anyone is interested in doing a readalong for The Chronicles of Narnia. I've not read them yet and was thinking it might be fun to do with a group. #NarniaReadalong if interested and tag me!
@Enchantedbibliophile
Does anyone know of an illustrated version of The Chronicles of Narnia? I'm look for an unabridged version, and the pictures don't have to be colorful or overly detailed or anything.
I have been reading the OZ books to my 5 year old, and we're ready for a change. The pictures just help keep her interested amidst all the text.
Thanks in advance!
Finally got my Christmas gift from my mom! 🎁📚💜💜💜
We had to do Christmas a day early this year because the husband works on Christmas day. These are the books I received from the husband and kids. Some non-fiction, crime, childhood favourites and fantasy....I love the variety!

This came up in my Facebook memories today. Christmas Adam (Dec 23rd) 2017 This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Rocky. I didn‘t know then that it was his last Christmas. So lucky to have had so many wonderful memories with that dog. ❤️💔❤️
My TBR list just got so much bigger today 😅 I blame @CymbaX13 thank you though. @Jackal121 told me these would be good
Thanks for the tag @veritysalter
1. I‘ve had and love both
2. Family is all healthy and son‘s fiancée passed a test she was worried about.
#thankfulthursday @Cosmos_Moon
Saw this on Facebook 😍 it's beautiful
#20series20days
I realized as I‘m posting this that I apparently have a smartass friend who doesn‘t like the published order for the Narnia books. Of course now that I know they are out of order, I‘m going to have to fix them or it would drive me crazy. (I‘m pretty sure I know who did this... 🤪🤣)
You can see this is another set of books I‘ve read many times. A favorite of my childhood.
(Day 10)
