Now that kiddo‘s new shelves are in place, I‘ve installed one old bookcase in the guest room (middle grade series so far), and this one is now in my room. I‘m trying something new, and these are all books I want to read in the foreseeable future (work in progress!). I‘m working on some series re/reads, want to increase my NF, and up my diverse author inclusion. Top will be for #bookspin stacks, which apparently it‘s time to do for January 😳.

My new beginnings included a purge of my TBR bookshelf. In this #shelfie I‘ve gotten rid of many TBR books that I don‘t think I‘ll ever get to. I purged my shelf until only the books I REALLY want to read are left. I‘m hoping I can stick to my resolution of reading mostly from this TBR shelf and paring it down before I move in a little less than six months!

I've spent the last two days or so playing library tetris to try to make the most of my shelf space. So far, so good, as far as the library goes, but I have an awful lot of books I'm still trying to find places for on the "overflow" shelves in my living room. ?#bookishproblems ???????

Can an ebook reader play #shelfiesunday? 😝 I read A LOT on my Kindle paperwhite and the Kindle app on my phone. I‘ve tried organizing my ebook collection into “collections.” The picture is page 1 of my TBR sorted alphabetically by author.

Oh my.. apparently there are 265 books on my Kindle TBR.. yikes.. 😅

This isn't a recent #shelfie because I'm currently reorganizing, but it's how my main shelf has looked for the past year. In a fit of annoyance over how few of my books I've read, I turned the unread spines towards the wall. I decided it was symbolic of the fact that I hadn't taken the time to get to know them yet and their contents were a mystery... I swear I wasn't high at the time.

My DVM letters (doctor of veterinary medicine because I am one) live with my TBR shelves as do two favorite 80s pictures of my grandparents and my Scottie book ends. They are organized by size.

My have-read shelves are in chronological order because I'm obsessed with knowing when I read a book. My rabbit bookends that live on that shelf.

This looks even more of a mess then usual, because I started reorganising a part of it and had to stop half way through! ( Also just noticed it's super dark and you can see my unmade bed 😂 oops! Was half asleep when I took this!)

Not mine. I wish. I am far too ashamed to post my own shelfie but shameless enough to want to describe it: there are tottering piles of books on every possible surface, including my desk chair, and three little Ikea shelves packed randomly with ESL work-related books as well as for-pleasure books. Unphotographable, and probably dangerous living in an earthquake zone… ;)

Some time ago, everyone was posting shelfies and my office looked like it had been burglarized. STUFF. EVERYWHERE. However, I cleaned a bit today (I just picked stuff up, I'm not about dusting right meow) and I took a #shelfie. It's not much, but it's my baby (not to be confused with my actual human baby). Also, my Stephen King hardbacks have their own dresser. Post to follow.
