These are my #Roll100 books for April. I've actually already read A Scatter of Light by Malinda Lo, which was number 36 on my list 😅
Looking forward to both other books. 24 is called The Future is Non-Binary and the other one is a YA about growing up in two different worlds.
@PuddleJumper
Not sure if this is for a specific group, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to jump in.
1. Pretty well. Time feels slippery today, and I'm constantly starving because I've increased my activity level but not my caloric intake (by design), so I'm fighting hangriness.
2. Mostly negative (except for Litsy) unless I'm very careful.
3. I'm taking a break from Facebook and using IG & Bluesky sparingly. So far, so good.

A day late (or a week and a day) on my #bookreport and #weeklyforecast as per usual.
You might have heard of this tv show that has gone viral. It is a MUST watch if you wish to understand how our contemporary society emerged with all its subsequent issues around masculinity, bullying, aggression, etc.
We watched this as a family (4 teens) at the weekend and had a very productive conversation about the subject, themes, and their experiences.

My #Roll100 for April and can't say I'm interested in any of them 😂
Death as Fine Art is an ARC I picked up without knowing it was a series
Blood of Elves ... I want to, just not at the moment
Serpent & Dove is too big!

I've been avoiding things for days because everything is getting a bit too much so it's time for some #BodyDoubleReadathon
I find knowing other people are also doing things at the same time as me, or imagining people in the room with me reading or whatever really helps me stay on task
It'll run noon-noon and you can make it what you want. I have been toying with making a Discord group so there's some socialisation. I'm not fussed either way
Will you be stopping by to take a look this week?

I‘ve only gotten into audiobooks in the last two years or so, but the past few months they‘ve been big for me. I‘m surprised by this perfect balance, though.
Spotted at a local Barnes & Noble today. I‘m so glad they drew a Totoro 😍

I left a note on the board in the spare room at the library today. I hope they know how valued they are.
Other people could be doing that too, but no, they are too busy harassing them and banning books. 🙄
I might* not (but no guarantees) have ended up in this situation with another stack, had I brought a backup book with me while I wait, since I‘m close to finishing the book I‘m on (part of another stack I‘m close to finishing…)
Oh well. It‘s good to get books from the library while I still can. The book banning people who don‘t actually read are working hard at closing the libraries. 🙄
Another day, another petition to sign so this backwards, asinine, utterly embarrassing administration hears our voices! #ReadersAssemble

Mrs Dribbles has a blocked nose and I'm really worried about her.
Please send Pickles good luck. She saw vet this morning and may need investigating.
#RantTime
It was not really reported in the news today, but DOGE made its way to the IMLS office this morning. Changes in leadership this morning has also greatly concerned libraries and museums, given the rhetoric used by the newly appointed director.
As a former public librarian, and one with a library degree, I am absolutely devastated. Libraries are for everyone. Librarians are not to censor, pass judgment, or hide truths. We have a code ⬇️
