Brisingr was better than the first two and not a bad start to 2017. The Inheritance Cycle contains many common fantasy tropes. Brisingr is able to rise above the familiar if only because of its well written plot. I don't really care about many of the characters. I do, however, need to know what happens.

Finally found this book again.
