Finished two ARCs this week and my #SeasonalCozies tread! 💖
Dragon exterminator Robert, Princess Cerisse, and Prince Reginald find their worlds colliding when there‘s a new threat of magically bred dragons on the horizon.
I‘m so glad I read The Last Unicorn recently. Beagle has such a talent for lyrical writing that feels like a fairy tale. For all the briefness, we get character growth, adventure, fun side characters, a little romance, & a glimpse into a lush & fascinating world! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
I love the found family created by these four children and their teachers. I especially love reading about Lark and Rosethorn coming to care so deeply for them.
#SundayFunday If you are celebrating, happy Mother‘s Day! If you‘re not, for whatever reason, I‘m sending you my love and hope you have a wonderful day. Don‘t forget to tag me in your responses!
Perigee, in an effort to fix everything for their father, arranges for the two of them to get invited back to the Puzzle House built by their grandparents. But nothing is what it seems & the house has ideas of its own.
I ended up reading this whole story to my nibling in a week. & both of us were thoroughly charmed. The relationship between Perigee & their father was so sweet and full of love. The descriptions were so lush & whimsical. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
It‘s time for Ashland‘s annual springtime chocolate festival! Everything‘s going great for Juliet‘s bake shop when a rival baker seems to die of an allergic reaction right after sampling her wares.
This was charming! I loved the relationship between Juliet & her mother, & the fact that the centered romance was actually Juliet‘s mother & her new beau. Loved the descriptions of food, & I would have loved more of the 2ndary characters. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
While the women of Greek myths have, more often than not, been sidelined or villainized, Haynes‘s book tales several of these characters & examines the context, the different versions of their stories, as well as the modern interpretations.
This was amazing & makes me want to seek out more women centered Greek myth retellings. This book provides a nuanced understanding of such interesting characters. Can‘t wait to read more by her!🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
Forgot to check my mail last night, but it‘s here! I can‘t wait to start it! @Bookzombie

Waiting for doctor time = Reading time! 💖
#WeeklyForecast
I‘m only a few chapters into I‘m Afraid You‘ve Got Dragons, and I‘m already entranced. 💙
And I am so excited to get to the next Shady Hollow story!
A thorough explanation of everything you never knew you needed to know about gynecological health.
Wow! There‘s a part of me that‘s embarrassed about everything I didn‘t know in this book, but more of me is angry. For most of my life I thought debilitating pain & long heavy periods was all normal. It was nearly 20 years with a period before a doctor took me seriously.
I should have known better. I should have been taught better. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
After a cataclysmic meteor strike, it‘s a race to get humanity to the moon & beyond, if there‘s going to be any hope for survival. Elma just wants, more than anything, to move from the theoretical math to the stars herself.
I liked this a lot! Strong historical setting, wonderful cast of characters (that I definitely wanted more of), excellent pacing. The ending felt a bit abrupt & a bit unsatisfying, but overall a great listen! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
I would adore a memoir by Tim Curry! He has done so many interesting projects and I would love to know what he thought of them.
How much fun did he have playing Hexxus in Ferngully or acting with the Muppets? What was his favorite part of filming the Three Musketeers? Or Clue!
#SundayFunday I hope you all have a fantastic day, and don‘t forget to tag me in your posts!
Wheeee! I‘m so excited! It‘s so pretty! And slightly ominous looking.

Trixie Belden Read The Red Trailer Mystery
May Kimble, grieving her mother‘s death, joins her family in San Francisco in 1904. Hoping to find love & acceptance, she instead a finds secrets, drugs, & corruption. All in time for the 1905 earthquake.
An incredibly slow start, with an overly passive protagonist & I was bored up until 1/2 way through. But it was a book club book, so I persevered. & I did like May‘s growth & her journey for justice. Just wish that last 1/2 was more. 🌕🌕🌗🌑🌑
A queer, polyamorous retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice set in modern day Miami.
Good god, but I loved this. This is a novella told in verse, written beautifully, and examining who our parents try to make us be. A sweet romance, which could have been developed a bit more, and I definitely want to read this again as an audiobook.
I was a little thrown by the lack of dialogue related punctuation, but I did eventually get used to that. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗

I‘m so excited to start Pandora‘s Jar! 🩵
Behold! My Dracula stack! #SundayFunday
My first paperback copy from high school, the paperback copy with all my notations and highlights, my copy of Dracula Daily, one ebook (out of two), and one audiobook (out of two)!
Probably my favorite classical novel. And I can‘t wait to read it again starting on Friday! ❤️🦇❤️ #DraculaDaily
When sourcery returns to the Disc, & throws the wizards all into chaos, what is a cowardly Rincewind to do but put together a ragtag group to maybe save the world? Or run away, one of the two.
A bit of a slow start, & a rushed/abrupt ending, but fun exploring the Disc anyway. I really found myself charmed by the side characters, & laughing at the cameos towards the end. Though I had hoped for more between Coin & Rincewind. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
This is calling myself out, because #DraculaDaily starts on Friday this week. Because it‘s definitely the tagged book. I have one hardcover copy, two paperbacks, two ebooks, and two audiobooks. 😅
When I get home from work, I‘ll post a picture of my stack. ❤️🦇❤️
#SundayFunday Have a great day, and don‘t forget to tag me in your posts!

A lovely introduction to a lot of the national parks around the US!
Separated out by regions, there‘s brief blurbs for all sorts of national parks. Then there‘s more in depth explorations of several of the parks.
The adorable artwork illustrates animals, plants, notable landmarks, & exciting phenomena in all of these locations.
This was a delight to share with my nibling, and I can‘t wait to take them to see these places! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
Sophy & Vyerin are each mourning a lost sibling when they have the idea to compare the letters their siblings shared. Between all of these letters a larger mystery starts to unfurl.
Loved this. The characters are so fleshed out, & the relationships are so interesting. & I adore epistolary books. & the world building!
My only issue is that the main arc of the story feels unresolved, it feels like I‘ve got the first half of a novel. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
The old mansion, & its mysterious inhabitant, down the lane from Trixie‘s home becomes the source of Trixie and Honey‘s summer adventures.
It‘s been so long since I read these stories. & they are just as much fun as I remember. I love all the characters so much, and the setting is just charming. My mom lent me her old copy, & she was so delighted to hear other people had read these books. Can‘t wait to keep going! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

I can‘t believe we‘re almost at the end of April! Hope I can get a few more books in! 🤞🏻
It‘s #AudioAssembly time! 🖤
Listening to Terry Pratchett while I try to put this bread box together was not a great idea. I kept giggling and dropping the screws.
Lady detective Lily Adler is once again embroiled in a mystery when an old friend of her father‘s is found dead in his study. With old friends & new, Lily plans to unmask the killer & prove her father wrong.
I am really digging this series. The historical setting is really good, & I love the diversity of the cast. The mystery kept me guessing, & Lily‘s determination & cleverness have really won me over. Definitely putting a hold on 3! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
I‘ve attended book signings for Lindy West, Eoin Colfer, and Tamora Pierce.
The one with Pierce was one of the highlights of my life. 💖
#SundayFunday Have a marvelous day, and don‘t forget to tag me!
Don‘t forget, my #DraculaDaily Littens, that Re: Dracula is going to be reuploading their audio dramatization of Dracula on the same days the newsletter goes out. ❤️🦇❤️
I listened last year, and honestly, this blew my socks off. I prefer this one to every other audiobook of this that I‘ve listened to. https://pod.link/1679833472
It is time! ❤️🦇❤️ #DraculaDaily

The waters of the bayou are rising. People from town are disappearing. & Eugene finds himself entranced by the Bonnie & Clyde pair that‘s swept into town.
Wow can Powell set a scene! I could feel the heaviness of a Louisiana summer against my skin. & the insidious creeping horror as we don‘t know really know anything that‘s going on. Really reminds me of Alma Katsu‘s historical horror. & I‘m definitely going to look up more by Powell. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView !
1. Motivation. I haven‘t written anything in six months, and I miss writing.
2. Self doubt and depressive episodes.
3. I participated in NaNoWriMo every year from 2013 to 2022. Succeeded seven times.

When Fiona‘s godfather dies, she inherits a house, a magical garden, & a murder all in a small Scottish town.
This was aggressively average. Very tell, a little repetitive, & I did not buy that new American girl just waltzed in & got everyone to spill their secrets. I did love the setting, & I really liked how the magic of the garden wasn‘t overpowering. & the secondary characters were really cute. 🌕🌕🌗🌑

My brain has felt like it‘s stuffed full of cotton this past week. 😅 Hope next week is better!
I‘ve got a copy of Robert Burns that was published in 1943! Just a plain green cloth bound hardcover with a matching ribbon bookmark. I got it from a library overflow sale. 💚
#SundayFunday Hope you are all having a great week, and don‘t forget to tag me!
When Ellie dreams of her recently dead cousin, her ghost speaking abilities help her realize that her cousin was murdered, & there is a much darker mystery at the heart of his Texan hometown.
Wow! This blew me away! The characters were all delightful. Absolutely loved the urban fantasy feels, in such a unique way. Excellent pacing & I was kept guessing on the bigger mystery right up until the end! Definitely an author to follow! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
A mysterious inheritance of a haunted house. A killer able to steal spells out of any magician. Merritt & Hilda find themselves trapped between these two stories.
Slow beginning, & a bit confusing at first w/ split timelines, but I love Holmberg‘s historical settings! They feel so real & grounded. & her magic systems are so creative! This is also a romance that I rooted for! The relationship grew naturally, & I loved watching it. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
An anthology of science fiction stories by queer voices and with queer representation.
Anthologies are pretty hit & miss for me, & this one didn‘t really hit. The stories were mostly fine, the narrators were great, but I want sci fi that I‘m still thinking about.
Although I will be searching out E Saxey, because the story Amelioration has me thinking about language & hateful rhetoric. I listened to that story twice before moving on. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
