I haven‘t posted on here in forever but I am going to try and start using this again. I‘ve just started reading this as part of my ‘series catch up challenge‘ it‘s been so long since I read the first one.

I really don‘t know why it took so damn long for me to pick up this book. I loved it. I loved the world building and this dystopic setting. I loved the characters and I really couldn‘t put this down. I am so excited to see the movie and continue with the next book.
Absolutely loved re-reading Heir of Fire. I loved reading manon‘s parts even more in this second go round for this series. This is my fave in the series as it‘s just such a game changer and journey from Celeana to Aelin.
Re-reading Heir of Fire today. I‘m getting there on my re-read of the incredible #ThroneOfGlass series in preparation for the final book releasing in October. #YA #Fantasy
Loved this book. It was so good and a great summer read. I‘m not a big lover of historical fiction but this one was just wrote so beautifully and I couldn‘t help but get lost in all the glitz and glamour. I highly recommend this book.
Currently reading #ASkyPaintedGold this is such a beautiful looking book. I am really enjoying this so far which is surprising as I don‘t usually like historical novels. #YA #Historical
I‘m about halfway through this incredible, romantic retelling of Tristan and Isoelt. I am absolutely loving it, it‘s fantastic but also slightly terrified as I know how badly this tale always ends. #amreading #ya #fantasy
It‘s been a long time since I have read a book in one sitting but I absolutely loved this one. It made me sob my heart out. Such a heartbreakingly moving book. #ya #ireadya #contemporary
I really wanted to love State of Sorrow. I adore Melinda‘s Sin Eater‘s Daughter series and was super excited about this one. It was just found this one so slow going and I was bored for the most part. I did like the storyline but it was very political and I‘m not a big politics lover. Unfortunately this one just wasn‘t for me. #ya #ireadya #fantasy #2Stars
#currentlyreading State of Sorrow. This storyline is really good but it‘s a very slow going book. I‘m enjoying it but it is very political #ya #Ireadya #fantasy
I‘m not a massive contemporary lover but I seriously love this book. The first 100 pages or so were quite slow for me and I was thinking about giving up but I am so so glad I didn‘t. Once I hit that 100 page mark I couldn‘t put this down. A fantastic message behind a hilarious, flawed and unapologetic protagonist. Highly recommend. #YA #Contemporary #feminist #4Stars
My next #YALC read is this beautiful book. It‘s a totally different genre from my past few reads so I can‘t wait to dive in. #currentlyreading
As soon as I finished Alice I couldn‘t wait to jump in to the sequel. I was a bit disappointed with this one. It isn‘t as dark or addictive as the first book and I found myself getting a bit bored. Is much more character-driven than the first. As a reader who loved plot-driven books I got a bit bored but I did enjoy seeing what happened to Alice and Hatcher. #Retelling #Adult #Horror #3Stars
I was not expecting this! Alice is such a dark and disturbing book. From the cover and blurb I thought it would be a cute and intriguing retelling. It is intriguing but it‘s so dark. Don‘t be deceived. It‘s full of rape, sexual exploitation and murder. Although it wasn‘t what I expected I really enjoyed it. It was addictive and fantastic. #Retelling #Adult #Horror
Don‘t be deceived by the pretty cover and the fact it‘s a fairytale retelling... this book is DARK! #CurrentlyReading #YALC
This is such a hard review to write. I had heard so much about this book and I couldn‘t wait to read it but I am so disappointed. This book had so much potential to be this gritty, raw, powerful book with it being about a school shooting but instead I found it dry and boring. It‘s told from different POVs that change so often I had no idea who was speaking or anything about the characters. I got 50 pages in before giving up. Disappointed #YA
Loved re-reading Crown of Midnight though it made me feel stupid. Anyone who has read this series will know there is a big revelation at the end of Crown of Midnight. While re-reading there were so many hints it was obvious. I can‘t believe I didn‘t figure it out when I first read it. #CrownOfMidnight #YA #YAFantasy #Fantasy #ThroneofGlass
Re-read, I first read this 6 years ago and I can‘t believe how much I had forgotten. There‘s things going on where I was like did this actually happen? I remember nothing. I loved it so much and can‘t wait to re-read the rest #ThroneofGlass #YA #SarahJMaas
I loved this book so much more than I thought it would. I already adore fantasy books but I was just not expecting how amazing this book was. It‘s heavily influenced by West African mythology. I adore mythology books but I don‘t really know anything about West African mythology so it was so new, fresh and exciting for me. I loved it.
Getting a good chunk of this read this morning while sat in the hair dressers. Loving this so far 😍 #YA #ChildrenOfBloodAndBone #CurrentlyReading
So super excited that Waterstones has this in early. Cannot wait to dive into this! Loved the first one.
Loved this book. It was so easy to read and easy to get lost in the story. Fantastic characters, storyline and writing. I highly recommend.
Just done a dance round the house as #EveOfMan has just been delivered. I am so excited for this book and will be starting as soon as I‘m home from my weight watchers meeting. Eek #YA #Dystopia #CurrentRead
When I first started reading #Clean I wasn‘t sure what I thought. I found Lexi very hard to relate to. As someone who has never touched drugs or even been around someone who has I just couldn‘t relate. However once it got going and Lexi was into her therapy I started enjoying it loads more. Giving this one 4 stars due to the slow start but I highly recommend this amazing and powerful book.
Holy shit! Is book 3 out yet?? I thought this would be a case of ‘second book syndrome‘ but it absolutely wasn‘t. I actually loved this one more than the first one. It surprised me and I was reading with my mouth gaping open coz I couldn‘t believe what was going on. Cannot wait for Bright Ruin to release. #YA #Fantasy #DarkGiftsTrilogy
When I just thought this series couldn‘t get any darker or more fucked up THAT happened. 😱 I actually cannot stop reading. #YA #DarkGiftsTrilogy
A great sequel to Moonlight Sins. I really enjoyed this one. Romantic suspense is not my fave genre in any way, shape or form but it was very enjoyable. I‘m looking forward to book 3. #romanticsuspense #4Stars #JLA
“Being on a different planet wasn‘t a far enough distance between him and Dev‘s fiancé.” This quote made me LOL so much. I love this series #AmReading #MoonlightSeduction #ARC #FaveAuthor #JLA
This was so different to how I thought it would be... in an amazing way. This book is dark and addictive and man I need book 2 like now! A must-read!
I‘m about halfway through #GuildedCage and I‘m really enjoying it. It‘s very different and much darker than I expected but so addicting. #YA #youngadult #fantasy
This was my first book from Gayle Forman and I am now wondering why I waited so long. I really enjoyed this book. I‘ve read others about depression and suicide and hated them because of how unrealistic they were. I Was Here is the total opposite. It‘s realistic, moving and handles suicide in a very sensitive manner. I love how it tackled how the people left behind deal with the upset, grief and guilt. I really enjoyed this beautifully moving tale.
#currentlyreading I Was Here by Gayle Forman. This is my first Gayle Forman book and I am enjoying it so far. It‘s such a realistic look at the after-effects of a suicide and what it puts the people left through. I usually dislike books about this subject matter as I find them unrealistic but I‘m finding this one very realistic. So far so good.
Wasn‘t expecting this to turn up early but it did and I devoured it. I loved it so much. I am not gonna day anything more as I don‘t wanna spoil it but it was stunning, I loved every moment and the sneak peak of the next book has me so excited. I need it now!
Next up on my #YALCTBR is The Belles. I am super excited so read this one. It sounds incredible and the cover is stunning. #CurrentlyReading
I really enjoyed Beautiful Broken Things. It was such a refreshing and beautiful read about friendship, love and life. It tackles some really hard issues in such a sensitive yet raw and real way. I really liked that about this book. I also found it so refreshing as a lot of YA books involve some sort of romance. I loved that this was about love between friends rather than a romance. It was refreshing and amazing #YA #YALC #Contemporary
Sorted out my #TBR for #YALC from the authors announced so far. Starting with this one. I‘m about 120ish pages in and really enjoying it so far. Super excited for YALC #YA #CurrentlyReading
I had heard such great things about this one but I just got to the point where I didn‘t wanna read any more so I‘m not gonna finish it. So sad I didn‘t enjoy. #DNF #YA #YoungAdult #Suicide #Contemporary

Seriously love this quote from #AllTheBrightPlaces #CurrentlyReading
I really enjoyed How Do You Like Me Now? by Holly Bourne. It‘s a real, raw and hilarious tale of growing up and dealing with other peoples expectations. I really hope Holly intends to write some more adult books. It was fab.
Seriously hating on Tori‘s boyfriend. Get rid girl he‘s a dick! #amreading #HowDoYouLikeMeNow #Arc #Adult #Contemporary #ChickLit #HollyBourne
New book today. It‘s a second hand one as the series is out of print but I‘m super happy as I loved the first book. Can‘t wait to continue.
I was a bit disappointed in this one to be honest! I had heard such amazing things and although it was enjoyable I found it just like any other book. It wasn‘t anything special. I also hated the fanfic bits and didn‘t read most of them. I didn‘t feel like they added anything to the story. #3Stars #YA #Contemporary
My March book haul. Can‘t wait to read so many of these amazing books ❤️
I so wanted to love this book. I really really did. I adore fantasy and this sounded amazing but it just fell a bit flat for me. This is the second book by Sally Green I haven‘t liked. For this one there was just too many pov‘s for my liking. It felt stretched thin and I felt like I couldn‘t connect with the characters. Due to this I got bored so I have to around the 70 page mark.
I absolutely loved this book. It was so entertaining and easy to read. I finished it in one day and it‘s not a small book. It was so real and raw and although the parents annoyed me so much (like seriously look after your child and be more interested!) I loved Mia‘s story.
