Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood: A Novel | Rebecca Wells
A big, blowzy romp through the rainbow eccentricities of three generations of crazy bayou debutantes.Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionA very entertaining and, ultimately, deeply moving novel about the complex bonds between mother and daughter.Washington PostMary McCarthy, Anne Rivers Siddons, and a host of others have portrayed the power and value of female friendships, but no one has done it with more grace, charm, talent, and power than Rebecca Wells.Richmond Times-DispatchThe incomparable #1 New York Times bestsellera book that reigned at the top of the list for an remarkable sixty-eight weeksRebecca Wellss Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood is a classic of Southern womens fiction to be read and reread over and over again. A poignant, funny, outrageous, and wise novel about a lifetime friendship between four Southern women, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood brilliantly explores the bonds of female friendship, the often-rocky relationship between mothers and daughters, and the healing power of humor and love, in a story as fresh and uplifting as when it was first published a decade and a half ago. If you havent yet met the Ya-Yas, what are you waiting for?

It's never a bad time for a Ya-Ya #reread. The characters are so complex and dynamic, and the language is rich and beautiful. Nothing like it! #southernfiction

I totally loved this book! Well written and well plotted, it‘s about a mother daughter journey into finding each other, from the past to the present time, through ups and downs, mental breakdown and addiction. I‘ve enjoyed it very much! This is my pick for May‘s #bookspin #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks

marleed Oh, I read this years ago - in a time when I felt accomplished if I read just one adult book for me in a season. But I think a result of just reading a few books a year was that I considered them for months afterwards - and still remember them today. This was one of this books! 3y
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 3y

Ok so I *think* I might understand why so many people liked this book...however, for reasons similar to Crawdads, it just wasn't for me. Also, yikes 1990s views...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely not a favorite—the story was okay, but I didn‘t like most of the characters much, and I thought the writing was simplistic and over-flowery.

This one has been on my TBR for a while. I love the movie but expect the book will be so much better! Diving in and drinking some wine. 😊🍷♥️

KathyWheeler I loved this book. It‘s set where I used to live and it‘s well told. I didn‘t care for the books that came before or after it nearly as much. 7y
ItsAngel @KathyWheeler I honestly didn‘t even know it was a series. I just know I love the movie so I‘ve wanted to read it for that reason. 😬 7y
KathyWheeler @ItsAngel I don‘t know that I‘d really call it a series. The books just feature some of the same characters, but they aren‘t really connected. 7y

I moved in with my best friend's family when I was in high school, for all intents and purposes we are sisters. This is one of our favorite books! We read.it together when we were in 10th grade, she even named her daughter Vivian, or Vivi. And this is book is a perfect example of how family is more than blood. #siblings #aprilbookshowers @RealLifeReading
