I haven‘t read any of these nominees. I like voting in the Goodreads Choice Awards every year but I don‘t know if I can vote this year if I haven‘t read any of the books. I guess it depends on what the other categories are. I still might vote anyway even if I haven‘t read any of the books. I‘ll just vote for whatever books sound good to me if I haven‘t read them. If it‘s something I‘ve read then I‘ll vote for it.

pickI enjoyed this ode to female friendship and empowerment. Sloane leads a life in which she allows herself to be drained, what will she make of her own thirst? I can‘t say that much about this story will stick with me, but it was perfect for spooky szn. The audio was impressive! 3.5 ⭐️ 🎧

pickThis was a low pick for me. I didn't always understand why Sloane and Naomi were best friends. And I wanted more interaction with the vampire group and not Noami and Sloane off by themselves. But I do like these types of wandering vampires and Sloane's own inner fight on who she wants to be. It was a fast read and interesting violent world.
pickA super fun Halloween read. This isn‘t the life of the vampires you know. This is a thrilling experience from start to finish where the main characters have to figure out their path and the sacrifice that comes with the one you love. Definitely a pick!
