pickThis book follows 2 women, one a hunter who gets into trouble on a hunt, and the other part of the search and rescue team. Their stories alternate and we learn more about each of them as the tension steadily builds toward the outcome. I found this wholly riveting.
so-soDark Corners was just ok for me. A podcaster gets entangled into a missing girl case that potentially leads back to murders in the past. The pluses are I like how all the details eventually connect but the minuses are it‘s a slow process to get there. The peek into an influencers world was a little interesting albeit annoying at times as well.
pickThis novel was set in the mountains of the northern Appalachians. A father and his daughter are living in seclusion. The father has had a difficult time with PTSD after serving in the military. The land they live on is owned by a friend from the service. Isolation is the only life the daughter knows. The past and its challenges were easier when the girl was younger. She needs to become part of the world. 4.5/5

pickReally liked Lenny, a nearly 40 year old fifth grade teacher who has had one tough life and a peculiar view on living her challenging life. She‘s got so much to overcome yet her bravery pulls her forward and continues to change her life. This is a story of hope and love and living your best life. Thanks for recommending, Char. I would never have found this book without you!

I hate when I have to quit a book and start a new one. Rarely happens but that last one was awful. Couldn‘t get into it at all.
