Still processing this. There‘s something very eerie about this book, but too many red herrings or twists that I‘m not sure if it worked. I do feel for the main character, Lauren, though.
Special thanks to NetGalley for providing me this ARC.

I really enjoyed this one! I read it bc the movie is being filmed now & I wanted to make sure I avoided spoilers & I‘m excited w/ the cast of it. This was really good even if the sex scenes were graphic (I‘m not typically a ‘romance‘ reader & was like ok I get it lol). I enjoyed the mystery & suspense. I didn‘t want to finish it bc I liked how it kept making me wonder what was going to happen next & I don‘t always get that w/ thrillers nowadays.
Tricia and Ethan are searching for the house of their dreams which turns out to be Dr Hale's, a psychiatrist who vanished 4 years earlier. Tricia happens upon a secret room. One that contains audio transcripts from every single patient Dr. Hale has ever interviewed.
An interesting book about not so reliable people. The book says “never lie“ but you don't know who is actually speaking the truth. Definite page-turner. Great satisfying ending.

The premise seemed so good - a man and his daughter have lived alone in the woods for 8 years until his past comes calling. The actual story, however, was just so-so. So I was about finished with a mediocre book, oh well. And then at the very last moment, the author slaps a ridiculous ending on it, and tops that off with an asinine epilogue. So now I‘m sort of pissed. Not a fan.

What would I do without #AudioBooks - And just to think I am only a couple of years into audio now. I used not to be able to focus on them and get lost easily!

#AudioReSet - has helped me a lot before and after a big chunk of work -- Gonna do that later today :)
This is the first book of Freida‘s that I haven‘t really loved.
