Even though I finished the book today, I'm still considering #marvelousmarch a success for me. Thanks for hosting @Andrew65 ! Looking for to ne t month.

Another regency romance to power me through the work day! I enjoyed this one, though I really did not connect with the voice actress on this. Eugenia is smart, ambitious, independent, & there was one point where I felt like saying, “You go, girl!” The male lead, Ward, was not a favorite of mine, especially when he makes an assumption that could ruin everything. Very steamy romance!
I can finally tick off the #AuthorOnLitsy prompt! #ReadWithMrBook
Spending a quiet Saturday starting book 3 in this series - hoping Edward Reeve will find his happy ever after.

#agameoffavorites DAY 3: ROMANCE
Two years ago I got to attend a fabulous panel at the Morristown Festival of Books. Eloisa James and Sarah MacLean were both featured (I got a signed book from each of them). When Eloisa James was touring with My American Duchess, she recommended various romance books including The Rogue Not Taken. My personal favorite romance book is Seven Minutes in Heaven - Eugenia Snowe is such an awesome heroine! @eloisajames
Such a fun read. Eugenia is such a brilliant character. It was lovely to see an older woman who has had a successful marriage already at the center of the romance. Ward makes some assumptions about Eugenia and where she can fit in the life he is making. Due to some things going on, I felt fallout and the logic for it painfully close to home. A fun solid read overall.
Finished this novel, while drinking “Persuasion” tea! Both were excellent!
Round characters, with believable situations! I fell in love with the romantic couple and their families!
My first @EloisaJames novel and I‘m a huge fan; can‘t wait to read more in the Desperate Duchesses series!
I don't know if any of these are the #bestromance but I have a few. #marchinbooks

I loved this book! I started it this morning and finished it tonight. I took a break this afternoon for a walk in the woods. We‘ve had about 10 inches of snow over the past few days and the trails were still pretty covered. Warm and sunny day perfect for a walk and a book. I also put the three books mentioned in the notes on hold at the library to read/reread. @EloisaJames 😃📚💕
Loved this steamy and quite delectable story. Recommend highly, perfect for a Valentines romance read 💝
I rated all the stars.

First post-challenge book completed is this lovely romance! Seriously love @EloisaJames stuff! They‘re delicious romances but have real historical research and plotting behind them. I think I need more. #romantsy
I devoured this book!
I loved the characterization of Eugenia and Ward as they were both witty, smart, and were clearly in lust from the beginning chapters.
The dialogue is my favorite. Eloisa writes some of the best scenes of dialogue and I am in love with the scenes here just as much as all her previous books.
Another winner from Eloisa James. The heroine is delightful and I enjoyed seeing characters from earlier series. The central conflict could have been resolved with a single conversation, but it works in context and with the given personalities. Recommend.
#TBRtemptation post 9! #BEA17 edition! From the incredible @EloisaJames comes this installment in the Desperate Duchesses by the Numbers series. Edward Reeve, brilliant inventor & arrogant bastard son of an earl, wants a governess, actually Eugenia Snowe. Her registry provides him with one, but not her. She has a lady's reputation to maintain. So, he kidnaps her! He promises her heaven, she gives him 7 minutes. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
This was a perfect read for my lazy Sunday yesterday - loved the story and Eugenia!
It's number titles for #riotgrams and I am just starting this @EloisaJames , because it has been a long work week for me and I need it. That CTA reading life. #romantsy
Let me set the scene: it was Sunday evening after an exhausting weekend (too much peopling for this introvert) and I was searching for a romance with snappy dialogue to calm my weary brain. I thought I was looking for a contemporary but then I checked my email and found this lovely deal in my Goodreads Deals of the Day. It was fate! Eloisa James will give me great dialogue and strong characters and swoons! And she definitely delivered! ❤️
So charming and smutty! Now I want to go back and read the others in the series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you ever wished that the Turn of the Screw had turned out differently, this one's for you. An eminently sensible non-governess, a handsome bachelor who is involved in his wards' upbringing, and zero ghosts (not for lack of conjuring by the orphans being governed). With James's arch and bawdy humor punctuated by vigorous bedsport, heartbreak, and groveling by the hero before the HEA. #romantsy
Today's topic #Heaven was easy.
I loved this novel. The characters were likeable, actually loveable, and the story was wonderfully written.

Here is my summary of April. I shouldn't get too excited about reading four books I own because I bought around twenty books this month. Whoops. #bestofapril #aprilbookshowers
I already have so much stuff! Be prepared to be inundated with posts Sunday afternoon. I've already eaten this though. It was delicious!
Very sad to have missed the book signing I was hoping to get to yesterday to get my copy of Seven Minutes in Heaven signed while the author was literally only a few miles down the road. Life had other plans though. Maybe next time...
Now I want cake.
Delightful characters and a good story. I read it one sitting. My first Eloisa James, but probably not my last. 😊
Because I still don't have the brain power for weird (so tired of migraines and I'm so lost trying to read Kraken) I'm giving this a shot. My first Eloisa James. I'm on page 61 and so far, so good.
I needed something fun to read over the weekend so I turned to Eloisa James. She never, ever disappoints me! 💖
After a really long work week, a morning where I get to curl up in bed and read a book that has topped my TBR for months is #worthspendingarefundon. This book was worth the wait. #aprilamazingreads
My hold Is finally coming in so this is my #tbrhighlight (ignoring the other five library books I already have checked out). I have waited patiently for this one. #aprilamazingreads
The most beautiful stepback cover! ❤#romantsy #historicalromance #coverart #manorhome #englishcountryside
The last book in the Desperate Duchesses series, with vintage #VeraBradley book cover. #romantsy #historicalromance
Such a great evening! Litsy meet-up for coffee with Amy, Melissa, Kate, and Eloisa before a fantastic event with @EloisaJames at Des Moines Central Library. I got my book signed, plus these lovely regency recipe cards!
So nice to meet up and hang out with these wonderful ladies. If you ever get the chance to go listen to Eloisa James talk, do it!
So great to see @EloisaJames at a reading again and to meet-up with some fellow Iowa #littens 😻 Safe travels back home everyone!
Fantastic talk by @EloisaJames about romance, and reading, Shakespeare, and writing sex. ❤ For the Des Moines Public Library AViD series!
A delightful read! Eugenia Snowe is an enterprising member of the ton who owns and runs an agency for governesses, the best in England. Ward's two young half siblings manage to get through two Snowes governesses in a matter of weeks, and Ward "kidnaps" Eugenia to temporarily help with the children. Along the way, Eugenia - and we - fall in love with the children and with Ward. #romantsy
Well that was a lovely surprise in today's mail - recipe cards to match @EloisaJames new book, Seven Minutes in Heaven (which is lovely, btw, if you haven't read it). Thank you Eloisa 😽😽
Had a great time today listening to Eloisa James giving advice to the Central Ohio Fiction Writers Group! She's one of my favorite romance authors, so really enjoyed finally getting to meet her.
Thank you, Eloisa, for spending time wth us today!

#greencovers #marchintoreading. A selection of my greenish covers 💚
Spent the day at a seminar for work. Since I was "in town" I did some retail therapy. Definitely feeling the romance this time with a dash of sci-fi. Can't wait to read these! I think my reading slump is lifting.
I'm borrowing from @sprainedbrain to ask if anyone wants to join us in Des Moines at 6 pm for tea and booktalk before my event at the public library at 7. Love to see you! We're figuring out where.
Are any Iowa Littens out there interested in a meet-up in Des Moines on March 21? @EloisaJames will be at the Des Moines Public Library that evening from 7-8 pm, and I am planning to go. Maybe we could organize a Litsy meet-up for coffee (or something) before or after the event? 😃
