pick5/5 for this one. Wow the ending of this one! I will be reading the next one ASAP! I need to find out what happens. I‘m just loving this series. I highly recommend this series.
pickThis is one of my favorite covers for the series. Here, we get a lot more of the series plot, with some answers we've been waiting several books for. Still, we get a nice wrapped up mystery... that's something this series does really well, the balance between book and series plot.. This one ends on a cliffhanger, so make sure you have the next book handy!

I wasn't planning on buying myself anything but I needed free shipping, right? Book Outlet sent me a signed first edition of Eleventh Grave so I regret NOTHING!!! Words can't express how excited I was to see that today! Anyway....got the last of my mail in for the #SFFS so I will be packing it up and shipping it out this weekend before I spend any more money 😂

I love the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones. I especially love the chapter headings.

I love the way Charley has developed over the last 11 books to become what she has in book 12, however, she is only just starting to become what she is meant to become, where will that take us?
Can't believe Reyes done what he did and that Eleventh Grave in Moonlight ended with that cliffhanger!!

I have so many guilty pleasures (book wise, obviously!), and this series is one of them. It's just so daft, makes me laugh and is a real escape. And then there's little memes or sayings like this at the beginning of each chapter. As a Brit, this would be very true!!😆

Diving back into the life of Charley Davidson. One of my favorite parts about these books are the funny quotes and/or sayings listed at the beginning of each chapter. Chapter 1 doesn't disappoint.

pickI finally finished after having it sit around & starting/stopping for other books. But I don't feel too guilty because it ended on another big cliffhanger & I have to wait until October for resolution.😱Overall a pick & solid entry for this series-some good action but maybe too much with the sexy scenes-I'm fine with sexy scenes😚but some felt thrown in there as filler (maybe that's just me?) & Reyes did a few not-so-likable things that bugged me.
I could be in trouble. A favorite lunch spot from when I worked in a office opened up an offshoot at a health club in the 'hood. I have a thing for their ahi tataki plate lunch & now it's right by my house!😁Ran to the post office & grabbed one (& an everything scone to try later) for lunch. So ono! 😋I left Max napping so I could have lunch in peace with a current read as all bets are off when he sees raw ahi tuna-but I'm saving him a bite.🙀🐟❤️

I love dropping in on Charley and company for some detective work & crime solving, supernatural power plays, and of course her fun, sarcastic, and kooky sense of humor. It's always a great adventure ride and this one was more suspenseful than some and that ending was to die for... 😱
No matter how crazy the caper, these true facts, T-Shirts, and bumper stickers she uses to start the chapters always make me laugh!
Starting this one next.... I've missed you Charley Davidson, and your penchant for furniture naming. 😂👍

*sigh* so good like everything Jones writes. I've never read a series that was longer than 7 (Harry Potter anyone?) but I'm still hanging on at 11 soon to be 12.

Day 24 #MarchintoReading #autobuyauthors I don't really buy authors or books automatically. I'm more: "I'll read this-probably soon because I really like this author/series." I'm trying to cut down on book buying overall & I'm cheap enough to wait for a library book or Kindle deal most of the time. But (shhhh ?)...I did just buy Norse Mythology w/a coupon & these other authors have series I'll go out of my way to find & read as quickly as I can.
bailedI've loved the Charlie Davidson books for a long time now, with one caveat: I hate her love interest. Yes, he's sexy. Yes, I get it that he knows all the things. But... he's a jerk. Actually, he comes off as abusive half the time. For that reason, I think I might be done with this series for a while.
Today's soup is this Simple Potato, Leek, Fennel & Thyme Stew (topped with crispy fried onions for crunch) which totally hit the spot for a late soupish lunch paired with a few more chapters of this book that I am finding hard to put down. #LitsyPartyofOne Snacks Part 2. 11PM-ish here & I'm winding down for the night. Snacks Part 2 happened about 9:30 PM. In the cup-hot apple cider w/Trader Joe's Caramel Sea Salt Chai Latte Mix whisked in (so good!) & Lu Little Schoolboy cookies. Read a few chapters of my new book💜but have a headache so I switched to some Pride and Prejudice on audiobook & then proceeded to look at Litsy posts which didn't help the headache but was fun!😆Night All!

A couple of weeks ago I decided to try & win a copy, entered 3 giveaways & found out I won one of them last week. UPS JUST delivered it (a signed first edition!) right on time to read tonight! Bumping the TBR line to read on the full moon while rocking my Poe socks😆
pickI still recall where I was when I read the first book in this amazing series and they just keep getting better and better. It was funny, heartfelt, sexy and fun. pickI love this series and book. They way it written makes me feel like Charley can be my friend, I would be happy to join her crazy world. The book helped close something off but the ending I would never of guessed so I can't wait to see what happens next.
A couple of yrs ago, I bought "First Grave" via SmartBitchesTrashy Books weekly email newsletter that highlights ebook sales; and I've been hooked ever since! Admittedly, after having binged through the first 7 in the series, I thought I might be done; but then "Eighth Grave" reeled me back in! "Eleventh Grave" showed up today (pre-order.) At first I groused at the change in cover (now matte); but then I noticed I got a signed first edition! #TBR
Forgot I had preordered this way back in the summer and it'll be waiting for me on my kobo tomorrow! So psyched! #daryndajones #eleventhgraveinthemoonlight
pickI have waited so long for this book to finally come out, I was not disappointed!! Darynda Jones keeps you hooked from the beginning and then blindsides you with plots twists that make you keep reading! If you have loved Charley and Reyes in the past, then you just got to find out how it all goes down! I highly recommend this read to all Charley fans!! And the ending …😳😱😵 Thanks for the opportunity to read this before it actually is released!! ❤
