I wanted to read a Christmas-themed book, but this is one that just occurs over Christmas. It‘s a sweet enough romance, but I saw big red flags when our heroine realizes she & her potential beloved are opposites politically.

Debbie Macomber is hit or miss with me and this was a bit of a miss. Sugary sweet Christmas romance with a teeny tiny conflict but just nothing that I really cared about. Oh well...onto something new 🤷‍♀️

Last week was all about chilling with the family and now it's time to start getting things in order again 😣

Step 1: Pop on the first #audiobook in a week and attempt to make sense of the boy's room. So far, I've created a tiny reading space for him. Pretty sure it will last 10 minutes 🤣

Okay at this point I think Macomber just isn‘t for me (although I do still have one of her audiobooks to listen to so 🤞). My main feeling through to entire story can be summed up in 2 emojis: 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️. The main guy is a real jerk and a big baby (why have none of these men grown up from their sad childhoods or past broken hearts?) and the main woman is a pushover. I give it so-so only because I finished it. 🌟🌟 💫 #wintergames2021 26 points

Macomber is one of those authors whose books always sound like ones I would enjoy but somehow just don't hit the spot for me. This one was perfectly pleasant, but just a little too melodramatic somehow. It was very obvious what the Big Misunderstanding was going to be and I honestly felt like Finn was kind of a jerk about the whole interview situation. Still, a fast read even if it was on the soft side of pick! Also I got this copy secondhand⬇️

Not my favorite. But I do love Debbie.

This is my favorite Debbie Macomber holiday story I‘ve read so far! I love the opposites-attract trope and found both main characters extremely appealing. Such a cute romantic story, and it definitely lifted my spirits. I‘m excited to read Alaskan Holiday now, I LOOOVE Alaska!

It was a pretty cute holiday love story. I wasn‘t expecting too much out of it but I still thought it was a light, easy read. Some of the dialect seemed unnatural between the characters, which was hard to get through at times. But overall it was a cute, fun #HolidayRead #WinterGames #TeamFestivus

Why do I keep reading Debbie Macomber? They always seem to fall short of the mark for me. I listened to this on audio while running holiday errands over the last week or I likely would have bailed. Interesting premise, just a little too sanitized and predictable. #romantsy

This was a pretty good book, predictable but still good. It was a quick read and recommended if you are looking for a light romance novel.

Merry Christmas! I'm so grateful I get to spend it with my mom. There's been many times throughout the years we almost lost her because of her health problems. But this year she's doing good. It's a quiet Christmas for the 2 of us and my pup. It's sad that my sisters can't be here but sadly there's family drama that the holidays can't fix. 😔 I'm trying to concentrate on just enjoying the time with my mom.

Been a bit of a rough holiday season so I picked up a romance. I'll definitely be picking up more romances for the rest of the holidays and in the coming year. Plan on finishing this up before tonight's festivities.

5 ⭐ 's. I love Macomber's books so much! Every single one I've read has been so amazing. A beautifully written Christmas story!

I had to sneak in a romance during Valentine‘s week. Mostly, I just enjoyed the snowed-in setting of a secluded cabin in the Alaska woods.

This was a very quick read. I listened to it on audiobook and really enjoyed it. I probably finished this in a day, which is quite fast for me. It‘s the perfect holiday love story to read next to a warm fire. I thought Finn was every clueless cave man just trying to express himself with grunts and odd presents and Carrie couldn‘t be more opposite of that as her email address stated she was a girly girl but she was the ying to his yang.

I finally got my new copy and chapters 12-15 were present and accounted for. This was a really cute holiday romance and a fun, easy read. The climax of the story was a bit anticlimactic and the end of the story resolved pretty quickly but overall it was a nice holiday getaway.

When you are deep into the story and then realize Chapters 12-14 are missing. Nooo!!!!!

“...beards are a necessity here in Alaska.” “Someone should have told me and I would have grown one.” Best. Line. Ever.

One last Christmas novel before the holiday is done. 🎄

A light, predictable read and at the same time enjoyable. It had its flaws, but for me it did the trick.

Starting this book. Hoping it‘s a good read.

Another day, another cheesy holiday audio book. Overall I really enjoyed this one. Yes, the plot wad ridiculous, but the characters had development and the Alaska setting was great. My one real complaint is that I hate the phrase "a man's man". I know it means he is rugged and outdoorsy, but that phrase just rally irks me.

Apparently I needed a Christmas Romance audiobook to get me out of my workout slump.
Don‘t judge. I‘m already judging myself.
