Clifford is a classic and something I grew up on. I think the stories are very fun and engaging. I love the illustrations!
Vilified the big red dog, but Norman Bridwell was published in (1988). This graphic novel is about a young girl meeting a magical animal rescuer, who gave her a little red dog- but soon found out he is a giant 10 foot dog!!! They go on adventures together.
#OnThisDay in 1928, Norman Bridwell was born in Kokomo, IN. His most famous character was originally named Tiny, until his wife Norma told him that sounded stupid and suggested he use the name of her childhood imaginary friend. And so his Big Red Dog was renamed Clifford, and introduced to the world on Feb 14, 1963 becoming an instant hit and gaining a spot in the hearts of generations of children. #HistoryGetsLIT
My boss bought this little pouch for me. How sweet was that?
I went to an independent bookstore today without an adult. Regrets? Only when the credit card bill arrives.

My daughters adored the Clifford adventures ❤️❤️
Someone checked out her very first book at school today and was so proud! She was also very protective, and did not want little sister touching the book “in case she ripped it.” Florence was obviously pissed.

🐶! Loved these books ❤️
Clift's Newsroom had a special visitor today! I was Emily Elizabeth today, and Melissa was Clifford 💙
Enjoying the Clifford big red ale at Books & Brews this weekend. This place is my favorite! All the beers and sandwiches are named after books and there is a used bookstore as part of the pub. It‘s the best! There are a few locations in Indiana and apparently it‘s expanding to Colorado and North Carolina soon.
FaceTime Storytime with the baby niece & baby nephew... But now they read to me❤️❤️
My mom (gorgeous woman on the left) always read to me and I picked up some words and letters from that. Then, when I was 3, I asked her, "Isn't it about time you taught me to read?" And I've never looked back! I was allowed to check out as many books from the library as I could carry. On the right is me a few years later, posing for a photo without losing my place in my book, natch. #jennasfinalproject
Just had to share one last quote, maybe the best one ever, about reading.

'There's seven books about Narnia that cover the birth and death of a nation, mice with swords and a lion who's a god. They did it in seven books! There's fifty books about Clifford the Big Red Dog and they all tell the same story: Look how big this dog is.' - Louis C.K.
Look who I found working at the scholastic warehouse sale, Clifford the big red dog!
