Daisy Jones & The Six | Taylor Jenkins Reid

“It is what I have always loved about music. Not the sounds or the crowds or the good times as much as the words -- the emotions, the stories, the truth -- that you can let flow right out of your mouth.

Music can dig, you know? It can take a shovel to your chest and just start digging until you hit something.”

Anyone else love these books growing up? Rereading them now since there is a movie coming out this summer.

BilboBookends LOVED them 😍😍 6y
KimPossible89 @BilboBookends Me too! My brother and I would read them all the time. We‘d read them when we‘d camp outside in our backyard and scare ourselves. 😂😂 6y

This was definitely one of those sappy love stories, though I think I‘d have liked more out of the story. It was an enjoyable and easy book to finish. I enjoyed the accents of the narraters as well.

When I saw the movie I had no idea it was a book. Of course, I had to read it! The book was better, though the movie was good too.

Hope_a I liked the book but not the movie. In the movie everything is upside down and it was so annoying. I even couldn‘t bear to watch the whole movie and stopped it in the middle. 6y
KimPossible89 @Hope_a I haven‘t watched the movie again after reading, but I definitely feel like I won‘t like it as much now. 6y

I‘m backwards lately and keep watching the Netflix or Hulu versions before reading, but in this case the book was just as good. A cute little story. I almost wish my teenage years were anything like this, but unfortunately it was just me reading books on Friday nights because honestly the boys at my school were no Peter Kavinsky. 😏

1. Teleport 2. The Handmaiden‘s Tale and loved it. 3. I made a few: read more books (obviously), finish things around the house, be outdoors more, travel somewhere. 4. Hart of Dixie. I‘ve seen it so many times, but it‘s always my go to feel better series. #friyayintro

This was definitely not a book for everyone. If you are intrigued by serial killer documentaries, then you‘d probably enjoy this one. Though Joe isn‘t a serial killer (just a murderer), but getting into his creepy mind is something. It‘s weird to connect with a psychopath. You almost want to root for him. The narration also makes this story. I saw the Netflix show, so I knew the ending already, but I was surprised.

MrBook Ah, wonder how these two compare for you. 👍🏻👍🏻 6y
KimPossible89 So far I‘ve enjoyed both. Usually when comparing the book to tv adaptation there are so many differences and sometimes it just ruins it, but so far it‘s pretty close. 6y
