Alva, a strong willed and clever woman in the 19th century, who came out from the ashes like a Phoenix as her family lost their titles and she had very little opportunity to marry a good candidate that would rescue her from her very poor family situation. She was able to accomplish this and get married to a W.K. Vanderbilt and made the best out of this situation, growing into a very admired woman in the 1800's U.S' society.

4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was such a great historical fiction novel! I enjoyed the history narrative mixed with the medical cases seen during war, and also I enjoyed the fact that you could not predict what would happen next in the love story. I highly recommend this one!

I just finished a book from 2019 and this is my first one for 2020 since I am still testing for my Teacher cert.

So today we celebrate Mother's Day in Mexico and I found this brand new book at the store for 7 bucks and I was happy enough for the day, then came home and found this flower arrangement and what makes it more special is that my husband picked and arranged the flowers himself 💗💗💗 #loved

5 ⭐ to this great book..
Explains all the elements on earth and space and also talks about being kind to each other and respect differences among people. This is one of my son's favorite books now

I give it a 5⭐ to this one! I bought for my 4 year old to be read before bedtime and both of us absolutely loved it. It talks about dreams and pursuing anything you want to be in life but also talks about universal values like respect and tolerance, and the most important aspect is that they learn all this thru a kind of conversational story between mom and son... I highly recommend it for toddlers!
