I love L&K more and more with each volume. Always something I missed the first and second time through the series, too.

Wow! What a crazy and insane volume! As usual our bad guy trying to look like a good guy is slowly but surely creeping in to finding the Omega key. Hearts are broken in this one and somebody comes back to shed light on what is happening. That end though! As soon as the truth was found out, it was like a roller coaster. Loved it!

Love the style of having smaller frames over a larger image that still has some contextual info in it. I liked this book, but it still think Vol. 3 is my fav.

It's wintertime in Lovecraft Massachusetts, and Keyhouse is becoming a battleground between the Locke children and the dark lady, and keys are consistently popping up around different places in the house. Kinsey finds a clue to caves, but it stops at a dead end. Bodies begin to pile up again around Lovecraft, Luke makes his moves on Kinsey, with dark intentions to use her to gain the Omega key, and Tyler discovers Luke is behind all the killings.

So many new keys were revealed in this volume! I think I‘d enjoy using the animal key, and I wonder what I would become?

The nod to Calvin and Hobbes style art was perfect for that small animal section.

The ending was shocking! Good thing I have Volume 5 waiting!

I continue to really admire the art and story in these! This house is full of creepy scenarios! If I were these kids I think I‘d stop playing with the keys...

This series continues to keep me engaged, intrigued, and concerned for these kids. This one ends with a particularly stressful cliffhanger. Luckily, I already have the fifth volume from the library, but the sixth is waiting for me on the hold shelf of the closed-down library, so that will be a true coronavirus cliffhanger. As always, the artwork is glorious. I especially loved this perspective of what's happening around the giant, creepy house. 🗝

On to volume 5.....

so so good! I just downloaded 5. Hopefully will star this one tonight :) I have like 20 things I want to consume right now (books, movies, shows) and its hard to get them all done! I can't do them all at the same time... so... I might end up prioritizing the next one.

Not as scary or sad as the previous ones but... It helps move the story along so well!

One more volume down. I'll be finishing this entire series up before my long weekend is done.

Bode is the best Locke.

Lock & Key series gets darker and darker and fantastic in each volume and I love and each every volume.

This started as a slow burn, but picked up the pace quickly before flying off a cliff! I did not see that ending/cliffhanger coming! I wish I had Vol 5 in hand so I could find out what happens next NOW.

ETA: my library has it on Hoopla so I will be reading Vol 5 today. 👻🙌🏽

This one was a little slower to start, but that ending. Holy shit stuff got crazy. Was not expecting what happened to happen. Can‘t wait to see where it goes from here. Also, I loved the art from Bill Watterson in the first chapter. That was awesome! #graphicnovel #comic

This graphic novel series never disappoints! This volume contains mesmerizing graphics just as all the previous ones have. I love the storyline since it keeps you guessing and of course I absolutely love the gory, gruesome aspects of some of the artwork.

Starting Vol. 4 finally and here is my #stacksaturday
I got very lucky and had vol 4-6 all ready from my library holds at the same time! The book fairies are taking care of me. 😍

The hardest thing about reading an ongoing comic or graphic novel series is reviewing them. It‘s hard to say much of something if you don‘t want to give anything away. So, here goes...the story picks up right where it left off. Things get even more complicated for the Locke children and danger is much closer than they could ever guess. The story is dark and compelling & the artwork is outstanding in bringing the it to life. Excellent.

This volume actually made me giggle in the beginning. The art and introduction were simply hilarious. It made me love Bode even more. Then it got seriously dark. This series is just such an amazing ride. I‘m excited to see where it‘s heading.

Wow! I did not see that coming! Pretty cover, beautiful artwork throughout, and such wonderful storytelling - what more could you ask for in a graphic novel? This is the first time I‘ve commented on artwork; it‘s just never overwhelmed the story before. But I don‘t think it overwhelms the story either, it just tells so much of the story. And what a story! Read the first three volumes and then read volume four. Writer and artist are brilliant!

In this volume we are introduced to new keys. The kids are being attacked almost every weekend. We normally only get one or to illustrations to show the various attacks and I wish this was delved into more. But there are lots of things happening in book four. We meet the Coach‘s autistic son, who can see and hear ghosts. We watch relationships fall apart, and friendships discenergrate. All in all, and bloody excellent read. Literally.

Love this series!! So good. The graphics are incredible, the story line keeps me engrossed. And I love all the keys!! Might have to pick one for my next tattoo!
