Finished the next book in my #TBRWrappedUp challenge.
I enjoyed this book more than I expected to. It felt thrilling and fun. Also, my first Megan Miranda read, so I'm excited to read more from her.

The next book I unwrapped from my TBR. I've never read a book from this author before, so I'm excited to give her a try.
#TBRWrappedUp
This YA thriller was a solid read. Not my favorite ever, but still engaging. There were some eerie moments but I somehow just never quite connected with the MC. However, finishing this one yesterday took me over the finish line for my #OutstandingOctober goal of 2700 pages!! It's the first time I have hit a goal in a while so I was pretty stoked. Thanks for hosting @Andrew65 !!!
This is my third Megan Miranda book and so far my favorite. I loved the mystery/thriller aspect of the book. It is a bit on the YA side, but I was okay with that. It did leave me with a few questions, but I like books that make you question what you just read, in a good way. I highly recommend!!

Once again, I was not disappointed by this author. 17 y/o Kelsey comes home to find her mother not there - except her mom is an agoraphobic and wouldn‘t have left on her own. But once Kelsey tries to find out what happened, everything she knew about her mom and their life starts to unravel.

This is all that was left.
So appropriate...
Intense stand-alone psychological thriller. Kelsey‘s mother hasn‘t left their house in 17 years, when she escaped her kidnappers, pregnant with Kelsey. Sometimes the safest lies are the most dangerous...
This was interesting. I like the way that they wove in stories about abductions that many people have heard of. The mystery was good and satisfying. It‘s a pick for me even though I think it was a little too perfect in some ways.
I‘m trying to figure out whether this book is officially out of the #whodunitbymail rotation. Was it returned to @Jess7 or is it still in the wild?
If you haven‘t responded to the message @dariazeoli there‘s still time! She‘s put a lot of effort into trying to get us back on track. If you‘re out, that‘s okay. Just let us know. I‘ve enjoyed exploring #mysteries that I might not read otherwise, and I miss it.
Another W O W!
This book started off rather slowly compared to her other books so I got nervous it wouldn‘t be as thrilling. Boy, was I wrong! Once it picked up it escalated quickly. (Continued in comments since I wrote too much...)
This is one of the best thrillers I've read in a while. We see Kelsey go through many emotions throughout the book. Its described in a way that I had to put my book down to catch my breath as each lie is uncovered. My jaw dropped with the plot twist. I'd definitely recommend this book, especially since I couldn't stop reading once I started. It has a little bit of everything, a budding romance, suspense, betrayal, and such a good plot twist.
This book. This book was fear personified. And I was hooked for every minute of it.
I truly think you have to know fear to be brave.
Overall a good, very quick read. This is a psychological thriller told by a 17 year old girl. I did not know at first that this is a YA standalone book until I finished it. It wasn't the best book out there but it kept me engaged and wanting to know the true story. First read by this author, who has also written adult fiction books I want to check out. I really enjoyed this one.
Finally made it to the beach, Topsail beach.
Wasn't feeling my last book so put it aside. Got this one at Target yesterday and so far it has sucked me in.
This book hooked me from the first page and I didn't want to put it down. Kelsey's Mom was kidnapped 17 years ago and escaped. When Kelsey's Mom escaped she was pregnant with her. 17 years later Kelsey Mom doesn't leave the house at all. When she comes home one night and her mom isn't there she knows something is wrong. Where did her mom go? Did the people that took her 17 years ago come back to get her? This is my first book in the #sixby6/6!
Could have been about 50 or even 100 pages shorter. Some of the events didn‘t connect for me. I was a huge fan of her book All the Missing Girls and had big hopes for this one....it was just ok.
This one has been sent to you, @Marmie7 🤓
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I was torn between savoring it and taking it slow and the ‘can‘t put it down‘ feeling. When I went to pick my next read, I found the ARC of another Megan Miranda book on my shelves. It just jumped way up on my #tbr list. 💙😉
#whodunitbymail
I spent way too much at Target, again.
And of course I bought books. They always have an amazing selection. I can't help it.
My next #whodunitbymail book looks really good. 🤞🏻 Starting this one today. 💙
I little decaf mocha seems appropriate for my #whodunitbymail read on this chilly and slushy morning while I do laundry. Four chapters in and I‘m intrigued.
Kelsey‘s mother hasn‘t set foot outside their front door in 17 years, since she escaped from her kidnappers with nothing but her attacker‘s baby growing inside her—Kelsey.
Kelsey knows to keep a low profile for their protection, but that plan is shattered when a car accident sparks news coverage.
A few days later, she arrives home to find her mother missing. Someone is coming for her. The truth of the past is the most dangerous thing of all...
Book received by @stacybmartin #HalloweenGoesPostal. This is a about Kelsey, 17, raised in a world of fears, limited social contact with survivor knowledge due to her mother traumatized past experience. There are some unrealistic, discrepancies areas:Kelsey social skills, some characters relations & predictable situations. It has an open ending. But I really enjoyed the reading I felt some anxiety as expected in psychological thrillers 👍🤗3⭐️
Okay, I may have scared myself a little too much with this one...now I am just itching to find out more of what‘s going on with Kelsey and this twisted story!
It feels like Christmas morning!! LOVING MY #LETSHYGGESWAP package. I got The Safest Lies, The Passenger and The Break Down. A tote bag in my fav color 😻 bookish socks. A mug (really nice!) a candle in one of my fav scents Hawaiian Breeze and some stationary. Great fast paced thriller with a little romance. I enjoyed it so much and couldn't put it down.

Happy #socksunday.
Sometimes I like reading in bed and use the pillows as a nice resting place for my feet.😁

Fast-paced, easy read. Holy crap this was intense. Kelsey's mother hasn't stepped foot outside their house in 17 years and then one day she's gone. Had no clue who was behind it all until the last few pages.
Fast-paced, quick read. I liked it!
This book was somewhere between a So-So and Pick for me. I wish there was a "good, but not great" option. It wasn't as fast paced as I had hoped, but still I was intrigued enough to read it in a day. I enjoyed it, but didn't love it.
Woohoo, it's here! This month's read for #whodunit! And I totally forgot about that awesome pink book sleeve😍! Thanks so much @Tiffy_Reads !! So excited (and I didn't have to stalk the mailman)😂
To celebrate our two year anniversary tomorrow, my wife took me book shopping. She's definitely a keeper! 💜📚
