A prequel to the Agatha Raisin series (#SeriesLove2024) that is set as Agatha begins her PR business. It was okay and like many novella struggled to truly tell the story. Not at all necessary to reading the rest of the series.

1.Fun lunch at Women‘s Club of Wisconsin with speech about women influenced gardens in England. Who knew there‘s an underground in Kew Gardens where they cultivate 2 1/2 million seeds and plants!?!
2.Finished jigsaw puzzle that Amazon sent me accidentally.
3.Husband made ribs with his special sauce.
4.Son in Seattle says he‘s “seeing” someone.
5.Friend‘s cancer turns out not life-threatening, big sigh of relief.

This was promising but disappointing. I enjoyed the mystery and how it played out, but there were a lot of things about the writing that annoyed me. Most frustrating was that the main character is in her 60s but reads as a LOT younger. Almost across the board, the characters are not developed consistently or convincingly (it‘s never a good sign when you have to count back in a section of dialogue to figure out who said what, (Cont‘d ⤵️)

I had to answer today‘s #Two4Tuesday questions because of my amusing history with striped shirts!
1. It has to be stripes. A few years ago, I realized I‘d somehow accumulated an unreasonable number of stripey shirts. I was not intentionally amassing large quantities of striped shirts, but apparently I do possess a deep love for the stripe.
2. It‘s somewhat surprising that of the TEN books I have in progress, only one (tagged) is a library book!

A new kid in town means a new mystery for the Bob Whites! In addition to figuring out an ice carnival to raise donations, Trixie needs to find out just what is going on with tough city boy Dan.

A lower stakes mystery for the kids, but just as much heart. Love how the kids all take on an activist role for their friends, & seeing most of them jump to conclusions about Dan, then apologize when they‘re wrong is heartening.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

November is birthday month for one kid and two best friends!

1. Cadence travel capsules for my traveling friend, with mini spatulas to transfer products.
2. Universal Yums for the kid in Seattle who likes snacks, started with Italy in honor of a trip we took there.
3. Autumn watercolors book for the other kid with December birthday.
4. Swapped out all black utensils for neutral
5. Wonderful week of weather…again!

Anna Pigeon is working on 2 cases and getting beat up in the process. 1 is the murder of an abusive man (and he didn‘t go down easily and 2 is the cyber stalking of a friend‘s teenager. Fairly fast paced and entertaining but I had difficulty in believing the craziness of one individual 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ive been so excited for The Teller of Small Fortunes that i preordered it last month from Barnes & Noble!

Ooohmygosh @Jadams89 !! You picked the perfect books for #AllHallowsReadSwap #ahs24 !! I‘m so excited for both of these - a full novel by Malfi, & the 2nd: that title! Also, prefect candy!! I love the s‘mores marshmallows!! & that key lime bar is soooo yummy! (Yes, I‘ve already tried both 🥸) And of course, a giant Kit Kat bar is 🎉. Love that card too! Thank you!!
