Yesterday was a totally busy bust for me. My dad is visiting and we had our Thanksgiving dinner. I fit in a tiny bit of reading time and some TV. But today will be better. #scarathlon2022 #TeamMonsterMash @StayCurious

I like his short stories better but you can‘t ever go wrong reading anything by Poe. And while it‘s just stating the obvious, ‘The Raven‘ is awesome.

He might not be the most chipper author, but something about his morose works always speaks to me. Also, these cozy socks crack me up. Let it Poe!

Survived the first day! Simultaneously teaching brick and mortar and digital academy kids, wiping everything down throughout the day, going through a quarter of a bottle of antibacterial gel...and the kiddos did amazing. They were all such troopers and made this day better. Now teacher needs another cup of coffee... and some Poe

Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;

So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating

“‘Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door—"

The Complete Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe will give you a fascinating glimpse into his tragic life. The majority of his poems are interpreted autobiographically: his achievements, his beloved wives, his losses, and ultimately, his unbecoming.

'Quoth The Raven Nevermore' - E.A Poe

Sometimes I Think If I Read 'The Raven' a thousand times in succession.I Believe It will succesfully find a thousand different ways to induce terror & uneasiness, that too with relative ease.

Bronte_Chintz Brilliant poem. One of my faves, although I now sometimes visualise Bart Simpson as the raven still thanks to that show 😂😂 7y

Day #6 of my 7 days of Poe. One more day left,,,whew. 😓 Took this photo last night, because I‘m currently standing in line to meet the guys of Blue October (and a concert afterwards). 😁 This is ‘The Complete Poetical Works of Edgar Allan Poe‘ (1909)... R. Brimley Johnson/Oxford Edition. One of my favorites, because for 100+ years old, it‘s still in near mint condition. 🤗

GarthRanzz Beautiful edition! And Blue October!! Do they have a new album out or are they just touring? I love their stuff. 7y
mypoesoul @GarthRanzz Thanks! 😊 Yeah, Blue October has a new album coming out in June (called ‘I Hope You‘re Happy‘). They did a couple of songs off of it tonight. Killer concert! 😉 https://youtu.be/FwZvuV79jeY 7y
GarthRanzz Cool! I‘m glad you two had a good time! I‘ll definitely be looking forward to a new album! 😊 7y
mypoesoul @GarthRanzz Thanks! Here‘s how crazy Justin is (see link). He said ‘I know you want to get close to me...‘ LOL https://blueoctobermeetandgreet.shutterfly.com/30479 7y

1. Lighters. I don't smoke, I just collect them for the beautiful designs.
2. Almost always a naked book. Book sleeves don't bother me that much, but dust jackets are one of my pet peeves while reading. So they come off when i start a book.
3. Usually buy them, library, libby/overdrive app, borrow from my mom, etc. I get my books from everywhere 😄
