Thought id jump in here on the #litsyavatar post! I actually just changed it not long ago! Before it was a picture of my ferret Coco (who passed) laying on my arm as i was reading. Now its just a pic of me! Makeup is my thing so i take an obnoxious amounts of selfies trying to get it right! 😜

The story of #mylitsyavatar and my #profilepic is pretty simple. I love pirates. It started when Errol Flynn and his swashbuckling ways enchanted me when I was a wee lass of 4 or 5 (See also Robin Hood). And my name is Jennifer. Then there‘s the song “Pirate Jenny” from Threepenny Opera. I use the name whenever I can. The pic is from a pirate birthday party of the daughter of some friends a few years ago. I‘m not Aunt Jen to her; I‘m Pirate Jenny

My #LitsyAvatar is of Corey & I at his annual Christmas party! We don‘t take much time for just us, he works a lot & now that I am a SAHM I‘m constantly taking both of our busy girls here & there. So this was a rare but fun night where we got to have time alone (although with his co-workers). But still, it was fun for this recent SAHM to have a reason to dress up & throw a lil make-up on & fix my hair! & my handle is my name plus my lucky number😏

My Litsy Avatar is a year old picture of myself in Prince George, BC. I went out there for a wedding and here I am a little bit pissed off due to a storm which delayed my flight by 24 hrs. No biggie because the other lady staying at the AirBnB was amazing and I kinda wanted to steal her dog because he was the most cutest thing. Just kidding!
My #LitsyAvatar is one of my favorite photos, not because of how it looks, but because I remember vividly how I felt. My daughter was a micro-preemie, and she was just a couple weeks old here. She was born 16 weeks early, and was fighting for her life, so the rare opportunities I was able to hold her were pretty much the only times my heart felt whole. ❤️ #profilepic

I took it in August of 2016 when I had pink and purple hair (my hair is brown, and purple, and turquoise now) and I added a Prisma filter to make it look like a painting. I like to walk and read. The stairwell at work has an area behind it that I do laps in on breaks. I liked my hair this day so I snapped a pic. Even though it shows a scar patch near my eye - I had to wear it for 3 months after getting Shingles in Sept- I still like it. I do not like many pics of myself. #litsyavatar

This is a 2 or 3 month old picture. Late last year we moved from California to Oregon and I was happy to be in an area where I could see my breath and need to wear a hat. My #litsyavatar is of me on the night of a Heart Ball. I am a fundraiser for the American Heart Association and have to attend many gala events this time of year. It‘s not as glamorous as it seems. I travel a LOT and work a lot of hours away from my family but it is very fulfilling work. ❤️❤️
I change #LitsyAvatar often. My current one is from last winter. I had been out shoveling out my car from the literal three feet of snow we had gotten. I went inside and laid down on the floor. My cat Persephone walked over to see if I was dead and she could start eating me. Or just to say hi. Who knows.

My profile picture is the aftermath of “Who” hair. When my daughter, @lizzlehuff was in high school, her dance center put on productions each spring and Christmas. My husband and I would fill in with any parts that were needed, and here I am as Momma Who after The Grinch.

The story behind my avatar is that when I visited Portree, Scotland, and took a photo of these lovely pastel-colored homes in the adorable village, I had to make it my own and so I did. :)

My #litsyavatar is just a favourite picture of mine. My #litsyhandle has a better story though. When we were little kids my dad used to recite the poem Jabberwocky to us, while running about and trying to catch us. My sister and I now both have the poem memorized ourselves and I often run through it when I‘m feeling anxious or scared.

So, my avatar is a cat wading through deep snow. This is really just because a) I love cats and b) I love snow. I grew up in NW Nebraska and the snow was often so deep you couldn‘t see your car, let alone your pets. I don‘t get that in Kansas and I really miss it.
