Second book in The Band series. It can be read as a standalone, though.
Bloody Rose and her band are travelling north to fulfil a contract, instead of fighting The Hoard which is threatening the kingdoms again. The band, Fable, has a new bard who cannot decide whether she wants to be a bard or a merc.
It was interesting being back in the realms of this series, but I liked Kings of the Wyld a bit more.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to read all 138 #ARCs on my #NetGalley #MountARC, but I'm hoping to get through a few at least.
1st Wedding Anniversary road trip to Dawson City, YT, 🇨🇦
Day 1: Kenai Peninsula to Glennallen
Husband and I are listening to Bloody Rose, which is super special because he doesn‘t prefer audiobooks while driving. I‘m liking Tam but don‘t immediately love the novel as much as Kings of the Wyld. It isn‘t as laugh at out funny?

Reading an Eames book: Alright, a kick ass fantasy adventure! Wow, these characters seem complex. I'm connecting with them on a deep level. Wow, this is hilarious. Huh, that was a little heavy. Still funny though! Wait, no, stop...why am I tearing up? What is this brutal social commentary that's hitting me right in the gut. St WHY AM I SOBBING!? MY HEART IS SO FULL OF LOVE AND PAIN AND EMOTION I'M NOT SURE I'LL RECOVER FROM...Hehe owlbears.
I really missed Eames's unique sense of humor and dnd-esque writing and the sequel to Kings of the Whyld did not disappoint! I really enjoyed Rose's band of mercenaries and how all the members are explored in detail at different points of the story. Tam isn't as interesting a protagonist compared to Clay Cooper, but she grew on me by the end.
Ahhhh, what a thing to wake up to! My favorite Author reposted my post and image from Instagram to his twitter! I‘m so glad my words meant something to him enough to share with others!
Thank you @GrilledCheeseSamurai for sending me this!!! It seriously made my day!!
For today‘s #tarottakeover I chose Rose from Bloody Rose. Rose spends the entire book putting all her focus on out doing her Fathers Legacy and being bigger and better than he ever was, that she ends up severely pushing some very important people in her life to the shadows and never getting the chance to fully embrace them like she could have.
Great book. Rose is a great character. Love the rock and roll story in armor. Great continuation of kings of the wyld
It took me a little while to get into this one but once things tied together with the first installment things really got good. We follow the next generation of mercs as opposed to the veterans going up against another world ending horde. Good times.

This one isn‘t pulling me in as deep as the first but I‘m still digging the rock band meets warrior mash up world. Today my reading buddy is Sierra.
#CatsOfLitsy
Today‘s reading companion is Callie. Sierra (the baby) was here but ran when I wouldn‘t let her eat the corners.
#CatsOfLitsy
Going to start this today. Simon is curled up for reading buddy duty.

Currently Reading this book -- and it's not standing up to book 1. That was a great book! I'm 30% into this one and still waiting for something to happen. It seems like there's more mystery involved in this story compared to the first. I am not a fan.

Day 13 Prompt: #madeyoucry
I‘m a big softy and there are tons of books that made me Cry. But this book takes the cake.
Chapter 43, Left me in a complete mess. Every emotion in me was running wild, I had to literally stop & pull myself together after what happened in this book, it hurt so much. It‘s heart wrenching but like I said before written so beautifully. I also broken down a 2nd time at the end. So many things tore at my heart

Day 11 Prompt : #Shocked
I know most people are doing theirs based on bios & author facts & such but I had 2 stories that really threw a shocker at me, I picked Bloody Rose to share. **MAJOR SPOILER** The Death of Golden Gabe left me completely torn, broken and emotionally drained, I did not see it coming. It was heartbreaking. Yet the entire death and the aftermath of how everyone responded to the death was written so beautifully. #30junebooks

Ordered something for my boyfriend for Valentine‘s Day so of course in order to get free shipping I had to get a little something for myself 😁

I'm having mixed feelings about this book. I'm constantly comparing this with The Kings of The Wyld, and the first book win big time. I just don't like Rose, she has this suicidal tendencies, given by her obsession to defeat her father's reputation and basically she's killing everyone because of it. But at the end of the book, i think i kinda get her and i guess sometimes you have to lose it all to understand the things you value most
Motionblurb: "reading a book whilst on the move"
It's Saturday, and I'm on my way to a meeting out of town ✈️✈️
Hopefully it's as good as the first book

About halfway through Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames and thoroughly enjoying it!
I gobbled this one up like birthday cake!
What a great follow up book! Loved it just as much as Kings of the Wyld. ❣️
Ketchup chips and white pages?
Challenge accepted! 👊
Alright, Saturday. You were a tough sonuvabitch this week, I'll give ya that. I Worked hard, long ass shift, sore feet, and the daily grind ate at my soul.
But I'll tell ya what, Saturday. Look at me now. Snug as a bug, book in my hands, and 2 days off looking me straight in the eyes with nothing to do but read.
Thats a win in my book. ❣️
3°C outside right now. Can't bring me down. Bring on the winter and cold, I say. I've got blankets and books and yummy, hot, drinks.
Yaaaas! I'm FINALLY starting this tonight! 🤗
The monster market is like any other market...except...well...it sells monsters (obvi).
Anyways, it would be a pretty friggen cool place to visit me thinks! Just as long as everything stays caged up or tied down like it's supposed to be.
Nevermind the man in the corner over there trying to pass off his painted chicken as a Manticore.
He ain't fooling no one. 🐔
I completed Bloody Rose three Days ago and All I have to say is WOW. It‘s starts out rather calm but half way through your emotions start getting hit like a whirlwind frenzy. Chapter 43 was without a doubt the most beautifully written chapter I have ever read that dealt with a loss. Eames was able to capture so many different types of emotions people feel when tragedies strike, I wept through the whole chapter. Please read this series!
I‘m half way through Bloody Rose and so far it is just as good as Kings of the Wyld. I love Brune, I just want to take care of him and love him XD
