I‘ve almost completed the audio and am curious to see how it wraps up. I like the sprinkles of ‘building minds‘ and would have like to see an extra helping of that part it kinda felt like a split POV version of ‘Arrival‘ but with an Octopus.

Paradise-1. Earth's first deep space colony. For thousands of colonists, it was an opportunity for a new life.
Until it went dark.
It falls to Firewatch Agent Alexandra Petrova and the crew of the Artemis to investigate.
What they find is more horrifying than they could have imagined.
Paradise-1 begins a terrifying new trilogy of survival and exploration in deep space, from Clarke Award-nominated author David Wellington
This was pure enjoyable SciFi. The Audio narration was Amazing and add so much to the story. Plenty of genuine laughs and great camaraderie between the characters and their new friend.
Loved it!
(I received an early review audiobook copy. Release Date - March 14)
REMEMBER WHAT'S REAL OR YOUR HEAD WILL BE THEIRS
Survival is never easy, especially for Grim, the last bounty hunter in Liwokin. He survived the Great Riot that killed thousands, endured the bloody chaotic aftermath, and avoided the crushing fist of the Agency created to quell the unrest. Rule of law returned, but following the rules doesn‘t put food in your belly.
Action-packed, bloody, and full of brain-bending intrigue!
My March TBR. Though I‘ve already started Mouse Cage and The Emissary- I‘ll finish those soon. Excited for the next group!
Only just started this but quite enjoying it. Virtual worlds, enslaved workforce, uprising, war…
One day, Jyosh will climb the heavens and slay a dragon god.
Though nothing could seem less likely for a slave, especially one whose body is too broken to cycle sunshine into destructive magical energy. Until he meets a woman who can secretly teach him the the light blade to perform incredible magical feats according to the wielder‘s skill
I loved the way this all came together. Weaving storylines, action, raiders and dunes. Revenge and family. Great read!!
So pretty! My signed edition came a couple months ago. Such a classic!
ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP INTO THE EXISTENTIAL ABYSS
Washington DC. 1906. The inaugural mission of the Moonfellow Program. Our first tentative steps out into the stars...
It was a complete and unequivocal disaster.
Now a hapless gravedigger finds himself among the handful of survivors stranded on the lunar surface-forced to contend with madness, conspiracies, and whatever that thing is on the dark side, picking them off one by one.
I‘ve been meaning to read his Sandman Slim series for a long time and I have a copy of the first book, but this new standalone is just too damn pretty. It‘ll be on my TBR until next month or so but I‘m excited!
New video for THREE DAYS IN APRIL is up! Check it out here! And subscribe if you like these kids books! https://youtu.be/GA9Q3OV2FcE
So close to being done with this and I just know they‘ll be a loose end revealed to carry the story over to Book 2. Really enjoyed this story!
Shit just got real. #annotating
This book was so much fun! I would recommend checking out the audiobook from the library if you have the physical copy and listening along. The illustrations were great and the action and comedy was strong and entertaining. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Who wants some funny space adventure!? I know I do! What happens when home appliances and everyday machines rule the earth? Bread makers, hair dryers, keyboards and smart phones on a quest to enslave humans!

Takes the concept of ‘The Purge‘ movies mixed with the production behind ‘The Hunger Games‘ (or the classic Arnold film Running Man) Indiscriminate killings and a glimpse into a future of manufactured fear.
I don‘t know what that says about me but I loved it. ☠️
Check out my review as I cover the things I like and didn‘t like about this book:

Meh. Didn‘t love it. Entertaining but I think it tried to do too much.
A little past the half way point. (On audio)
I was enjoying the first part and now this second part is getting pretty wacky and I‘ve disconnected with what‘s going on. I‘ll stick through it cause it has to have a good ending, right?

Yes I actually read (listened to) this whole book. Definitely not my typical read but I did enjoy it. It started out like a Sex and the City episode but then went deep into controversial LGBT perceptions in Hollywood in the 50s and 60s. Then there was a hefty emotional guy punch in the final chapter. Definitely a ‘beach read‘ or a good pick for the next book club over some wine.
Diving into this audiobook. The first story was great and the narration is wonderful. The second story is that if the title and that‘s just started. Great scary read for the season.

MORE #bookmail! Another UK shipment. I just finished this today - So good!
Just got this back in the mail from the author to be signed. Seems right up my alley. I can‘t wait to dive in! 🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘
So so so so so good! This was brutal, and charming all at the same time. It definitely doesn‘t take itself too seriously and I loved it so much. A fantasy quest for those who may not even like reading fantasy.
#thriftstorebookhaul !! I scoured around for the third one but didn‘t find it 😩
Hardcover on the left. Hefty paperback on the right.
WHERES MY BOOK AMAZON!!!!???? 😢😩😫😭😤😭🤬😠😠😩😢🤯 I preordered it just like any other. I doubt I‘ll get it though. Will have to refund my gift card. But I can‘t redeem my amazon.com gift card balance on amazon.co.uk!! Rage
What door do you choose Litsy for my next read? P
Wow. 1970s Sci-fi. What a time to be alive. 😎🕺🏿🤦♂️
Come watch my ugly mug talk about imaginary friends and aliens in my review of the classic ‘Chocky‘.

Wow. This wasn‘t what I expected but it strung me along juuuuust enough to finish it.
It was more ‘literature‘ type reading than sci-fi where it dives deep into the relationships and cultural/societal topography of the near future.
It was interesting and quite well done but just slow and I was looking toward something a little faster and more action.
ZZOMG ITS SO BEAUTIFUL!! 😭😭😭😭
I can‘t wait to immerse myself in this world!! So METAL!👹👹☠️☠️💀💀😈😈

Hi Litsians (formerly known as MisfitNerdBooks)
I wanted to share my new booktube channel that I just started!!

I would really love for all of you to subscribe. I got lots more planned and I‘ll be showing off my signed hardcover collection, commentary and haul. Mostly talking about the ‘other‘ exciting books that you may have missed.
I really appreciate it!
Like Daniels does such a great narration on this. I love the campy trope-ody and the silliness of it all. I‘m only about 5 chapersbin and its like Monty Python meets Princess Bride but a little sillier.
I‘ve watched a couple panels and signings with these authors together and they seem to have such a good dynamic. I‘m so glad to see their is going to be more!
My first foray into the realm of BookTubes. Branding and more cool stuff to come as I work on it a little more this weekend!
I would greatly appreciate if you‘d subscribe! I need 500 just to be able to customize my URL. Sheesh! I love you all and would appreciate if you‘d comment, like, subscribe and all that jazz! ❤️😎📚📚📚📚🤘😀

Hey Litsy! Anyone have a vote for one over the other?
Enjoying this book so far! Hailed as X-files meets Indiana Jones! I‘m thinking about Uncharted and Resident Evil.
My first book review is posted- I‘d love to know what you think- good and bad!

There will be more to come! Intros and social links and all that. I‘ll be covering the lighter, grown-up side of fiction and sci-fi-ish gems I come across. Mostly ones few people have read. (No Sanderson!)
I‘m just a casual reader hoping to spread the good word, no sponsored stuff.
Thanks for watching!
Hey everyone! Tell me your favorite BookTubers (and why)!
Wow, what a thrill ride.
This one grabs you in with a constant fear of ‘oh no, something bad is going to happen‘ and sinks it‘s dripping jowls right through your mindscape. I always enjoy the super-nice-bad-guy play and I wanted to shout some reason into the characters. I feel like there could have been a better ‘plot revelation‘ and it didn‘t end how my twisted mind suspected it would.
The audio narration left something to be desired. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
