This is a book that I heard someone talk about, and that I am planning on reading for myself in the future, due to how interesting it sounds and the similarities between me and the person who talked about the book.

One of the antagonists in the book is Katsuo a Japanese racer. He works against the protagonist trying to poison her and break her bike or try and make her unable to keep racing.
At this point in the book, Yael has many different conflicts. She has inner conflicts, conflicts with other characters, and even natural conflicts. She questions who she truly is and at the same time has very strong conflicts with the other racers, which makes it very difficult for her.
Wolf by Wolf is a book aimed at younger readers which is apparent, it is clear that it is meant to be exciting and also touching. This is not a deep read but it takes place during the second world war about a motorcycle race throughout the axis territories and it follows a Jewish girl who sneaks into the race.
Independent Reading: Post #1 (pt 1)
Wolf by Wolf is about how Yael, who is a skinshifter, will race as Adele Wolfe in the Axis Tour and win in order to kill Hitler at the Victor's Ball. This book takes place in a world where World War 2 never took place and Hitler still reigns. The Axis Tour is a motorcycle race held by Hitler and Emperor Hirohito across the conjoined continents. At the end of the book, she shoots Hitler at the Victor‘s Ball.
Well, I guess I am officially old! My first readers! Was in denial that I need them.. “my contacts are just dry”, “ I am tired that all” etc , etc , etc
Time to face the facts , it is now the dawn of readers for this book lover !
Well written. Interesting concept. I think, however, I was not in the mood for this kind of book. The alternative reality dystopian felt a little too real, what with everything going on the world. That being said, it was well written. The pacing was great. Story decent. It‘s a pick because of how well it was written, but I was not in the mood for it. Audiobook was done very well too. #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks
#100 of 2020. Set in the 50s with The Third Reich and Imperial Japan ruling. An annual celebration of their victory which comprises of a motorcycle race where the winner wins an audience with Hitler at the Victors ball. The concept of this book was unique and engaging. I loved the main character Yael. Great read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed the unique story line and the setting was really well done. An alternate reality where Nazi Germany won the war and a motorcycle race from Germany to Japan. AWESOME IDEA! My only struggle was with the characters. I didn't become overly attached to any of them. I'm curious to read the second book but not rushed.
Super interesting story. The motorcycle race in this book was a type of plot I hadn‘t read before, and the concept is so compelling, it‘s hard not to get drawn in: What if the Nazi‘s won?

Picked this one up at random on Bookoutlet and so far.... I am freaking loving it!
This one took a bit for me to get “into” it, but once it got going, I thought it was good. We go back and forth in time from current day Yael in the resistance to young Yael in the concentration camp and everything leading up to how she got to her current mission. There was a good twist at the end and it is a series (or maybe trilogy?), so I will continue.
All I can say is that yes, this book lived up to all the good things people have said about it. I loved it and just devoured this book.
Taking on this one next. I love alternate WW2 books so hopefully this one lives up to the hype around it
LET'S KILL HITLER
this was exciting and interesting and I liked it a lot!
Yay! This was recommend to me by a friend, and I'm looking forward to it!
The Axis have won WWII and Yael is now part of the resistance plot to kill Hitler. But first, she must win a cross-continent motorcycle race. With a dash of magical realism, this is a terrific alternate history drawing on the search for self. I can‘t wait to read the sequel.

This was great! Main character stayed on track for her mission. No unnessecary love triangles. Complicated characters and the lead heroine was real and deep and even unlikable at some points. It really felt like this could have happened if WWII had gone the other way. High Recommend!
In a world where the Axis Powers won World War II, Yael enters the annual motorcycle race impersonating last year‘s champion, Adele Wolfe. If she can win the race, she can assassinate Hitler and avenge all she‘s lost.
This book‘s a wild adventure of a ride and I really need to read the sequel now.

Unique book! It‘s an alternate history if the Axis powers had won. I LOVED it and wished there were more than two books in the series.
3🌟🌟🌟Well written piece of alternative historical fiction/fantasy etc. The parts that were good were really good, but the parts that weren‘t-just lagged and that says A LOT about a book so action packed. I can honestly say that I‘m fairly certain this will improve w/the series by how well written it is and the plot etc. but definitely a like but not love for the 1st installment unfortunately, but I have faith in it none-the-less 🤔🙃
Woah! That was good. Everything I love in a book:
Female heroine
Themed around WW2
Hint of a romance
AND a sequel coming!!!!
Couldn‘t be more excited 😊
And the nasty weather has finally gone ☀️
After reading her other works I came into this book full of expectations..... and was not disappointed! This is a bloody brilliant book..... and I already have its sequel in my lap❤️😃
My order from book depository arrived. I finally got another bookmark besides Peppa the Pig.
I checked out Wolf by Wolf from the library and loved it so I had to get my own copy.

Probably not gonna continue this series. The characters were very bland and I just didn‘t care for the story ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
So I didn‘t open my #secretsantagoespostal box yesterday. It was a very rough day and today wasn‘t any better.
But I decided I was going to end my bad day/week/job with a happy box full of goodies from @Juli . It was a box of happiness! I‘m super excited about the books! I‘ve been wanting to read all of them. And I love the booksleeve! Plus chocolate and tea, and I cannot wait to use the bubble bath combo. Thank you so much!
Her mission: kill Hitler
Why: cause she was tortured and her family killed in the camps during WWII
In a dystopian future where Hitler wins, and 'Germania' is in power, Yael must use her abilities to win a motorcycle race, and assassinate the Führer
THIS BOOK OMG!! I was hooked from the first page! This is a definite favourite of 2017 ??

Help! A friend just asked for alternate-history recommendations (specifically, if the Germans had won WWII). The tagged book is the only one I know, so any more books I could tell him would be helpful.
I'm absolutely loving this ! I wish work wasn't getting in the way so much so I could just sit by the pool all day and read 🙇🏻♀️ #currentlyreading
This book was so good! Read in one sitting! Alternate future where Nazis won WW2 and shape shifter goes on intercontinental motorcycle race to assassinate Hitler at the victory party. Yup!
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! I didn‘t get a lot of recreational reading done, but had a great visit with my mother in law and am relaxing and trying to finish this tonight. Back to school tomorrow and my wee one has a terrible head cold. I hope my fellow Canucks has a nice holiday.
September #readingstats! Need to pick up some more adult books this month!
Well, I forced myself to class again today, left early, and am waiting at the medi centre to get checked out. Still sick and now shooting pain in my ear 😷 upside was that by leaving class early, I got to see my daughter on the Terry Fox walk/run around the school. Always cool to see your mom!
Hey everyone! Here are some of my #fivestarpredictions ! Thanks @4thhouseontheleft for the tag! I am going to take @scripturient @DebReads4fun @cobwebmoth (sorry if you were already tagged).
What if Germany and Japan won World War II? What if you were able to change your appearance at will? What if you had the opportunity to kill Adolf Hitler? 1944 - Yael is 6 years old and sent to a concentration camp. 1956 – The Third Reich rules part of the world, and Japan the other. Yael has been training for an important mission even if it means that she may sacrifice her own life.

Whoa, this book is great so far. Alternate history where Germany won WWII and there's a face-shifting protagonist and a cross-continent motorcycle race. 😲
Hi ! I loooooove this book ! I read it in 2 days, it had hooked me completely. It's a 5/5 for me. I can't wait to read the sequel (but the buying ban....argh !)
I was really bummed when I finished this one because I was in a town with only small, local bookstores that didn't have the sequel. I really want to know what happens because this cliffhanger is killing me! This was an interesting dystopian/alternate reality novel that keeps you guessing. Just when you think you have it figured out, you don't.
I will say this, the ending of this book saved it for me. The first half of it was so slow. I understand its setting everything up but man for a race where people try to take you out there wasnt much action at first. That ending though. I was expecting the typical she would start second guessing herself but she did not in the slightest. I am definitely going to carry on with the series its just not that high up on my list.
I finished Wolf by Wolf last night and moved straight into the sequel (thanks to some unexpected insomnia). Overall, I liked the first book, but now that I am more than halfway through this one, I feel like they probably could have been combined into one single narrative. So far, the series has kept away from the most cliche YA tropes (love triangle, anyone?). Would definitely recommend for any alt-history/dystopic YA fans. Review later for sequel
I was feeling restless last night and stumbling upon this book on Overdrive I thought I'd give it a shot. Only a few chapters in, but it's a really interesting premise. Yael is a death camp survivor (working for the Resistance) in an alt-history world where the Axis Powers won WWII. I'm getting Man in the High Castle/Hunger Games/X-Men vibes. Hoping the story doesn't devolve into the more cliche dystopic YA tropes, though.
I didn't think this would be for me (haven't been into alternative histories), but I loved this so much I immediately downloaded the sequel! Felix and Yael's relationship is immensely interesting to me and I am eager to see how her actions play out for him. My guess is NOT SO GREAT.
It's going to be really hard to not just sit and read all day! Started Wolf by Wolf last night and I'm intrigued!
