A really nice end to the series. I‘ll miss these characters, especially Ava and Jennifer.

Book 4 in the Quinn family saga is done. I love all of the books but this is my least favorite if I had to pick one. Mainly because it‘s over but also it ends on a sad note. Still, it comes to feel like these are real people you could go & visit on Nantucket. I‘d highly recommend this series! 5⭐️

12-27-23: My 104th finished book of 2023! Book 4 in the Winter Street series. It was supposed to be a trilogy but the author decided to revisit the Quinn‘s one more time and I‘m glad she did. All was resolved very nice but it definitely ended on a difficult note. Life will go on for the Quinn‘s in the best ways possible. Marriage, retirement, a new TV show…so much to look forward to but saying goodbye was hard, lots of tears.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣1️⃣0️⃣4️⃣
#naturalitsy #midwintersolace I went to a Winter Solstice gathering tonight. It was really enlightening - we held pieces of cedar, tobacco and white sesame seeds over our hearts to remember people no longer with us, show gratitude and make wishes, personal and worldwide, then we threw them in the fire. We had tea and cookies. We did cleansing breathing exercises. We burned slips of paper with things that didn‘t serve us anymore written on them
A few years ago I read the Winter Street series: Winter Street, Winter Stroll, Winter Storms, and Winter Solstice.

Omg… I finished this book with tears streaming down my face…. I fell in love with this family and was fully invested in their lives. Such a beautiful ending to a beautiful journey.

Oh, my heart! I didn‘t know anything about these books before starting, and I wasn‘t prepared to feel so emotional! I can see why this series is a comfort winter read for many - it‘s easy to get attached to the Quinn family, and the short, fast-paced books are perfect for the busy holiday season. It seems I prefer Hilderbrand‘s series over her standalone books. I‘m really surprised they haven‘t been turned into a TV show yet!
I definitely preferred the others in the series. I think all the drama helped move the story along. They did a great job wrapping up all of the characters stories though. I will say that even though you suspect it coming, the end is still a tear jerker.
I promised myself I wouldn‘t cry with this reread but as I came to the end of the series today, I couldn‘t help it!! I‘m so attached to the Quinn family and if there were ten books in this series (instead of four) I would reread them all every year. It was great fun to sit and read the entire book straight thru today. It doesn‘t feel like Christmas is complete until I‘ve finished rereading these books🎄🎄🎄
@Amandajoy I'm digging in! So excited to see what you sent my way 🤗 #WinterSolsticeSwap @sprainedbrain @Chrissyreadit
#wintersolsticeswap package arrived on the west coast in time for opening tomorrow!!! ❄️⛄️🎁🎄
Well I have somehow sped through the entire Quinn saga in one week via #audiobook! I find myself thinking about the characters and wishing she‘d write another Quinn family story. This one is sad so don‘t forget the tissues! 🤧😭 4⭐️

4th and final book of E.H.‘s Winter series. I‘m not usually a big Hilderbrand fan, but this series was great - perfect wintertime choice

This was definitely the worst one of the series. I did not like the new POV addition (Eddie). Almost every character became so annoying by the end. Hilderbrand has said that she wrote this book in 4 weeks...you can tell.
There‘s quite a bit of cultural appropriation happening here. 😬And this book was written in 2017, there really is no excuse.
And on the previous page, the product name dropping was getting a bit ridiculous with the birthday gifts given to one of the Quinn‘s.
I finished this book late last night. So sad😢I felt I was part of the Quinn family and I just wanted to intervene in their decisions related with the Inn😲what?? I think I‘m reading to much that I forgot this is fiction☺️Again, we will see family drama, as author said, a lot of drama, with funny-cute parts even during tragedy and we will see characters growing emotionally. First series completed in this 2021 with this book. 3.75/3.8⭐️
Finished this up while sewing on a quilt today. It was a great ending to the series.
Dont mind the tree in the background.
Excellent wrap up to the Winter series by Elin Hilderbrand. This is the final book in the series. Bring the tissues. I‘m sad that my time with the Quinn family is over. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚
-1st book of 2020 was The Western Star, a Walt Longmire book.
-Last book of 2020 was Prudence.
-1st book of 2021 is Winter Solstice.

This wasn‘t what I planned for my first read of 2021, because I didn‘t think about the fact there were 4 books in this series and that I was only reading # 3. 🤷♀️ So, it‘s now my first book of 2021. (And this is why I don‘t typically plan out my reading.) 😂❤️📚
I‘m going to miss the Quinn family! This Christmas series provided me with so much comfort during a hard season.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️It's been too long since the entire Quinn family has been able to celebrate the holidays under the same roof, but that's about to change. With Bart back safe and sound from Afghanistan, the Quinns are preparing for a holiday more joyous than any they've experienced in years.
Happy first day of the #wintersolstice readathon and happy Winter Solstice! I finally got a TBR together with some audio and physical going on. I have an ebook too I forgot about woops! Oh well. I hope you‘ve been reading and enjoying even if you‘re not part of #wintergames2020

I don‘t want to open these gifts cause they are so pretty seriously @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm teach me your ways and yes I‘m cheating it‘s my birthday and I opened an hour or two early for #LLWS @rsteve388 #litsylovewinterswap
This sounds like a great readathon! I think my goal will be five books, including three nonfiction. Let it snow!
What an amazing story to wrap up this series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sure, why not double up on the Readathons? (#DashingDecember) Too bad that I decided to dive into a 944 page thrilled BEFORE these start! 😂 😂 😂
Goals:
⬜ Meet my 2020 GR goal - after I finish the book I'm currently 92% through, I will have 7 books.
⬜ Finish the Christmas books that I have from my childhood that I haven't read in years.
⬜ Start tackling the pile on the floor NEXT TO my bookshelf 😂
#WinterSolstice @Bookgoil
Woo boo! Another readathon to take part in and earn some points for #WinterGames2020. Thanks @Bookgoil for creating the #wintersolstice readathon
Oh no. I don‘t want to be done with the Quinn Family. I may be social distanced from most family and friends this year, but at least I got to armchair travel to Nantucket and spend 4 books of time with this family!
Hi! It‘s me! Planning ahead! Do you love winter? Do you need points for #wintergames2020 or do you need to read!? Come join my #wintersolstice readathon!
Low key! Set your own goals! All welcome! ❤️

Re-read this one to wrap up Elin Hilderbrand‘s winter series. I accidentally read this one first last year not realizing it was a series when I picked it from the library. I really enjoyed it, but I think I like the first three books best now that I‘ve read them all! 🎄❄️☃️🧣
I finished this series in 2 days. Wow just what I needed.
This is the fourth instalment of the Quinn family saga.
Hildebrand has taken where we left off and developed each of the characters in interesting, and some sad, ways. Her characters are flawed, as we all are. This makes them all relatable and have us cheering them on!
Nantucket is its own character but honestly doesn‘t compare to her summer reads in quite the same way.
A lovely conclusion to the series.
A bittersweet, but fitting end to the Winter Street series. I'll miss the Quinn family 🎄
This is my December reading wrap up. 20 books total, and most of them were holiday themed reads. 🎄📚
This was the fourth in the series, although you could almost count The Rumor as part of this series too because of the crossover in characters. A good read, but definitely bittersweet. I‘ve liked following this family of flawed and interesting characters throughout their holidays. I really ended up liking this series so much more than I thought I would. Three and a half stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
I loved this series! The entire Quinn family are charming and flawed characters. This is a relatively light read and was perfect for me during the hectic Christmas season.
