As always, Diana‘s smooth storytelling takes me in. She writes with wonderful attention to detail, she‘s witty and the stories are wonderful snippets that are tied to the big books (Outlander-series). Loved disappearing into this one while we wait for book 9!

My people know me well. According to my husband, I also should eventually be getting a signed copy of the tagged book that's been sitting at a post office in Washington, DC for about 3 weeks now.
I hope you're all having a wonderful day. ❤
A collection of Outlander-related stories and novellas including: “Besieged", "Survival", "Virgins," "The Space Between," "Lord John and the Plague of Zombies," "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows" and "The Custom of the Army." Filling in mesmerizing chapters in the lives of characters readers have followed over the course of thousands of pages, Gabaldon's genius is on full display throughout this must-have collection.
I have a feeling that my August reading is already done as this book will take me into September. Wow, can you believe it‘s almost September? In some ways it seems this year is flying by and in other ways, this has been one of the longest years ever.
A 5 hour Outlander fix on audio. Loved it!
For those UK based Outlander fans, the short story collection is on offer on #kindle at £1.99. My first purchase of June (and hopefully my only one! 😂😉)
I wonder if these short stories were scenes cut from the books. If so, good editing.
I finished this a few days ago and i officially loves it. I‘m a huge fan of novellas between main books, filling in little parts of the story or expanding on secondary and even tertiary characters. This collection did both of those and even had little threads connecting them. So fun.
So aside from the crazy amount of graphic novels I‘ve been reading, I‘ve also been reading this. I was mainly reading at work during break, but since I‘ve been recuperating from getting my wisdom teeth out, I‘ve nearly finished! Once I get through this, the outlandish companion, and a few more graphic novels it‘ll be back to Mount TBR!
My reading list today. I have a giant stack of graphic novels checked out from the library that I want to at least make a dent in this weekend. Plus a little something to sustain me through droughtlander
I began the series in 2014, in time to watch the new STARZ series. I've read all of the Outlander series and all of the Lord John Grey series. If you enjoy historical fiction, time travel, and tremendous storytelling, check out these books.
I read all of the Lord John Grey novels in 2017 and love them about as much as the Outlander series. You don't have to read Outlander first, but I do recommend it.
Nothing else came, so I guess this note from Amazon is still all I have to go on. If you see this, thank you, mystery #secretsantagoespostal person, for the thoughtful book. It‘s no secret I love all things Outlander! Unfortunately I just got a copy in my #booktoteswap package earlier this month, so I really hope you don‘t mind if I utilize the gift receipt to exchange for a book I don‘t have. 😬 #wintersolsticebookexchange
Jumping back into this one with a wee bit of whiskey 🥃 (I can‘t spell it without the “e” just can‘t do it) #readinginbedbeforedinner #whiskey
#TBRtemptation post 3! Recently released. This is a collection of novellas and short stories set in the Outlander universe. These have never been published together before, and include two original stories. Most of them revolve around John Grey, but include Jamie, Ian, Roger, et al. The stories take place along all points of the Outlander timeline. Well-liked by devoted fans of the series. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
On this special #hurricaneirma edition of #bookandabrew, I'm cooped up in my Atlanta hotel after my instrument training got cancelled for today. I'm cozying up with Seven Stones to Stand or Fall with a nice warm cup of ☕️and wishing I was home in AZ.
Evening reading while the rest of the family is out. Enjoying sitting while my dogs explore my wild backyard and the smell of lavender drying.
I love being back in the land of Outlander! It's due back at the library in a couple days do I have to read all day (right?!) #myreadingspot
Perfectly positioned to covertly read. My portion ended about a hour ago, so I'm in danger of falling asleep because 😴😴😴. Is it dinnertime yet?
Starting on this beast! It's been too long since Ive had any Outlander (or Jamie 😍) in my life! .
So excited to have these gorgeous bookmarks to go with the series! Aren't they so pretty!? They are from @drawntothepages and can use my code booksbottles15 to get 15% off when you order! .

I went ahead and purchased even though only 2 new stories out of 7.
A Fugitive Green & Besieged were both great reads but constant repackaging of previously released material is my new #bookishpetpeeves. I already had other 5 stories. I love Lord John Grey! He is a complex & fascinating character. If you want to read his story in chronological order, you have to jump from book to book & continually Google.
It's Man Crush Monday so of course I am choosing my # 1 #bookboyfriend Jamie Fraser!

A Fugitive Green - Really enjoyed this short story of Minnie and Hal. I liked them in Big Books. Harry Quarry is always a fun character. His and Hal's friendship really shines here. Same narrator as Leaf on the Wind of all Hallows but it works here as characters are English.
"and realized that his head, while not swimming, was showing a slight disposition to float." #waywithwords
"Books always had something to say, beyond the words inside, but it was rare to find one with so strong a character." A Fugitive Green
On the last story "Besieged" forgot how much I enjoy the interactions between Tom and Lord John Grey.
Seven chapters into the story Fugitive Green. Loving the character of Minerva. Can't wait to see how this story ends.
Just started a Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows. Such a good story so far.
Like all short story collections some are better than others. However this is Diana Gabaldon so if the ones that were not the best are still great. This was a nice book while waiting for the 9th Outlander book.
24 hours of seven novellas, of which only two are brand new (and maybe more new to audio)? What's a girl to do, I'm a sucker for Gabaldon.
About to get my Outlander fix with this short story collection.
My favorite #timetravel series, Outlander. I'm excited for the #lengthylit in August, because I've wanted to reread the series for some time. As I wait for that, I can indulge in this. #sizzlinsummerbooks
I love getting my book deliveries at work😊😊This will fill void till the next book comes out❤️
Nice little nod to Lethbridge Stewart in the Custom Army short story. #Doctor Who
Seven separate novellas that provide backstories for major and some minor characters. Three of the novellas had not been published as any Outlander publications, so those were new to me, and enjoyable. Also personally autographed for me by Diana at Denver 2017 Comic Con! #outlander #historicalfiction #18thcentury #anglophile
