My husband loves Chicago Dogs and used to get them at Sonic. I don‘t know how long this place has been around, but we just discovered it and tried it out. We liked it. The old posters with huge hotdogs floating on the water next to a normal sized city made me think of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs for sure!

DrSpalding This is considered modern fantasy rather than science fiction however I can see why you may have thought this. Go back and look in your genre flip guide for more information regarding the elements of science fiction. I love the idea of using the book and having a food related party. Nice alignment with your strategies and principles. 4y

DGRachel @Cinfhen @Hooked_on_books The Calhoun is really good so far. Very readable and emotional. I feel seen, and that‘s huge. I think it has a very specific, narrow audience (Gen X women), but I‘m curious to see if she expands her thoughts at all to relate to more people. 5y

As great as food falling from the sky sounded initially, it caused problems that the people of Chewandswallow now have to face. An activity that I would like to do with my students after doing a RA would be for them to make newspaper articles from the Chewandswallow newspaper.

I suppose they may have been okay if I hadn‘t read the book, but I‘m a purist and it bothers me if the movie doesn‘t follow the book. In this case, the two aren‘t really even in the same universe 🤣 5y

This book is a Fantasy. This book is based on a grandfather telling his grandkids a story about how the people in the town never have to go hungry because food rains from the sky. Although, it seems like a joy it begins to get very messy and destructive. This would be a great storytelling.
