Second book in and Mercy has had to rescue her love interests from being kidnapped AGAIN? (To be fair not all of them were kidnapped in the last book - but as the saying goes - if I had a nickel for every time an alpha werewolf got kidnapped and then rescued by Mercy Thompson… I‘d have two (three?) nickels).

Having a great time with this series reread so far.

Continuing the Mercy Thompson saga! In this second in the series, her friend Stefan, a vampire, needs her help. As a walker, Mercy is immune to vampire magic, which will be useful against a powerful but insane new vampire in town. Plus the love triangle between Adam and Sam continues. For what it‘s worth: Team Adam.

Next book I completed this year. This is book 2 in one of my favorite series and I‘m working my way through it again as I anticipate the release of the newest book early next year.

I thought this was a good follow up to the first book, you get to know the characters better - such as Mercy, Adam and Samuel.

I really like the first person writing style when you get into Mercy's head and hear what she secretly thinks etc.

I'm hoping the storyline will get better as the series goes on because this felt like a repeat of the previous plot with some small changes and never added anything new to the overall storyline.

Keeping up with the Mercy as she battles fights all in the name of her friends is pretty entertaining in this second installment by Briggs.
I love that she's a a bit flawed, it makes her human to me because everyone is a bit flawed but like in real life, she tries to do her best for her friends and here she is doing her best to save them from an evil that just rolled into town.

Continuing my reread of this series by listening to the audiobooks. I love the early books when Mercy is still fighting her feelings for Adam. ❤️❤️❤️

Listening to this second book in the series :) is it okay to like her mostly because of the VW connection and me loving my bug ;)

Anyway about 5 chapters in and really am enjoying it :) I‘m glad I was told they just get better :)

Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson has been one of the most influential series in my reading life. Since discovering them as a teen (& assuring Mum they weren't as sex filled as the covers suggest 😏😅) I have wanted to be a strong, passionate, resilient, kickass woman like Mercy. She goes through much, but ultimately her strength & fierce loyalty are qualities I greatly admire and desire. #24in48

So much fun to read! I really like Mercy, she's pretty awesome!
This is the perfect book series for me right now. It's exam time at university. And it's nice to have something good to read for escapism

Continuing to reread this series and having a lot of fun! I get so much more when I‘m rereading series like this. Little details jump out faster.

10/10 Excellent read, second book in the series. Mercy is a very likeable character, flaws and all. Well written with enjoyable characters and enough action to entertain just about anyone who enjoys this genre.

Second installment of the series and I'm not disappointed. I have a number of books floating on the top of TBR pile so I'm gonna shelf the rest of the series till near the end of the year/start of next year so I can focus solely on the rest. I have a feeling that the more I read, the less likely I'll be able to put it down!! 😊

.10 books are like a drug. I can't help myself.

It's been a while since I did a Mercy Thompson reread and I haven't romanticized a thing! I absolutely adore this little coyote and Adam is still my biggest book crush! I'm reading the Alpha and Omega books along with this series and I desperately want a crossover book or novella! I need to see Mercy and Anna in the same room, preferably with each "torturing" her wolf of choice! I need the shared smirks, eye rolls, and snarky comments! I needs it!

My next semester of grad school classes start Monday, so I feel like I've spent the past weeks cramming in as much "fun" reading as I can.

Enjoyed the 2nd entry in the Mercy Thompson series. The audiobooks are a great companion for the mounds of data entry I've been doing at work. I like Mercy's strength and wit and look forward to seeing how she tackles both human and paranormal drama. More of this series is definitely in my future!

What an excellent follow up to book one. This one gelled a little better and was much more intense. The story was darker and the characters had more personality. I love Mercy!

Borrowing this from the library so I can continue on with the Mercy Thompson adventures! This one took a dark turn right at the beginning but I'm enjoying it so far!

This one didn't really do it for me. Slow and too wordy. The first book was good and I'll probably continue on to book 3.
