It‘s windy. life‘s chaotic, but i‘m relaxing into #hyggehour with an ebook, my blanket and Saoirse. I hope you are all getting some time to rest and relax before facing the next week.

forestandcrow I loved this one! I cannot wait for the new one. I know alpha and omega series is having a new one soon. 5d

I felt a little overwhelmed and thought some parts were convoluted, but it is a shapeshifter/fae/vampire and gazillion other creatures world so who am I to judge? I always enjoy my visits into this world in general so while this is not a favorite book in the series I‘m still happy I read it.

AprilMae This one was the hardest of this series to get into. Luckily the next book is easier to get into 1w

Adam and Mercy get married and leave for their honeymoon AND manage to have a few carefree days before otterkin and an ancient river monster ruin their fun. Mercy learns some unexpected things about her father and Native American heritage.

I really enjoyed this one. No one getting kidnapped was a nice change of pace…

AprilMae This series is one of my comfort series for sure. Also her Alpha and Omega series! I just did a full reread last spring/summer but I might do that again soon... 1w
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @AprilMae, a full series reread is very impressive! I love a good series but I have a tendency to wander off part way. I‘ll have to check if the library has the Alpha and Omega books on audio. 1w

Reading this series in full is one of my 2025 goals. I read this book 15+ years ago & loved it. It was borrowed from a friend at the time so I have not revisited the series since. I‘ve been itching to revisit it & have managed to collect most of the books from secondhand stores.

Since it‘s been so long, I remembered none of the plot so it was almost like reading it for the first time. So good! I love Mercy & am excited to see what she does next.

Julies_Bookshelf_Adventures I‘m currently rereading these books too! I forgot how much I love them 🤩 2w
MeganAnn @Julies_Bookshelf_Adventures I can‘t believe I‘ve waited so long to reread these! I think I read through book 5 before but that was before I started actively tracking my reads online Goodreads so I‘m not positive. It will be interesting to see where the newer books take Mercy when I get that far. @Schnoebs is doing a reread of this series as well. 2w

I forgot how much of a comfort read this is for me. It makes me more excited than I already was to reread the series. I think my favorite part of this first book is how Mercy stumbles into this role we see for her throughout the series just because she‘s trying to be a good person and not judging people based on the type of creature they are. And the discovery of just how powerful Walkers can be is only just starting. #reread

MeganAnn Rereading this series is one of my 2025 goals as well! 4w
Schnoebs @MeganAnn I‘ve read like the first 6 books in this series and the first 3 in the alpha and omega series. I‘m trying to catch up on both this year! 4w
MeganAnn @Schnoebs Me too! I think I‘ve read the first 5 books in the series and only the first Alpha & Omega. I borrowed them from a friend who no longer lives close when I read them many years ago so I never had my own copies to do a reread until now. I‘ve been collecting used copies of the series whenever I find them for the past six months for that purpose. Just found Moon Called on Pango Books so when that arrives I‘m planning to start. 4w

MeganAnn Looking forward to seeing your reviews as you reread! It will be fun to have someone else revisiting the series at the same time. 4w
Schnoebs @MeganAnn we definitely need to check in with each other on our progress. Keep us accountable 💪 4w
MeganAnn @Schnoebs yes absolutely! I‘m starting Moon Called now. 😊 3w

Bad kids smoking the whacky tobaccy in the Edwardian era.

I‘ve never read any Patricia Briggs but I know she‘s a long running paranormal author, werewolf & coyote shifters in this case.

Decent read & art but I don‘t know much of Dynamite Comics. I think they‘ve made a trend of publishing established series comics.

You all read up on Patricia Briggs & Kim Harrison? Pretty old school urban fantasy writers I assume.

I recently discovered graphic audiobooks in the last year. Now I‘m working through my old favourites (like this one) as well as new finds
What do you think of Graphic Audio “a movie in your mind”??

Butterfinger I like them. As I was reading, I heard the man's voice. LOL. I listened to Fourth Wing and the ACOTAR series. I like how they use the same voice actors for the characters through the series. I'm sure that is tough to do. 1mo
Butterfinger It reminds me of the radio shows. 1mo
Julies_Bookshelf_Adventures @Butterfinger I think that‘s why I like them, so far the books I‘ve read are continuing the voice actors throughout the series. I love radio shows and am so glad that audiobooks are making this transition! 1mo

I‘m losing track of how many times Mercy has been kidnapped! This time there is a fairy queen after her for an artefact she thinks is in Mercy‘s possession but there‘s also danger for Samuel - whose suicide attempt leaves his wolf in control - danger for Adam - with challenges to his pack leadership and attempts at undermining his relationship with Mercy… all in all another great audiobook!
