A solid fantasy adventure novel with a hint of romance. The main characters have an age gap that I feel a little uncomfortable with, but I just pretend it‘s not happening and the rest of the book is fantastic! #readyourkindle

The Mercy Thompson series has become one of the few series that I look forward to reading every single year. For me, Mercy is one of my favorite literary characters. It felt good to become immersed in her world again. The only thing that I did not like about the story is that at one point it started to drag a bit. However, I truly enjoyed the ending. I am looking forward to reading the next book. #SoulTaken #PatriciaBriggs ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Dragon Bones by Patricia Briggs
Personally I like Mercy Thompson much better but this was still a great read. Can‘t wait to see how the story continues in Dragon Blood.

Catching up on my favorite series.
Silence Fallen is the 10th book in the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs and I think it just might be my favorite book so far.
This gets me an Ordinary in Demonology (read a fantasy) at #oriliumacademy

Taking a look back at my first hauls posted about 4 years ago and seeing if I actually read what I buy.
One is picture is from my trip to Alcatraz and the other is from a Black Friday bookstore trip. And it turns out I do actually read the books I buy.
The Temeraire Series took the longest as I just picked it up this year and is technically still a current read because I‘ve only read the first book in this bind up.
The Mercyverse will always be my favorite, but this was really good. It‘s a standalone high fantasy, comparable to Briggs‘ Raven and Dragon duologies. Aren‘s husband and family are massacred by raiders. After her metaphorical world is upended the literal world follows, and she and her village must adapt to the reawakening magic. What will Aren do to save those who won‘t accept her?
(Danny, again, won‘t let me up for a book photo #catsofLitsy)
