It‘s was ok. Didn‘t love it but didn‘t hate it. Entertaining and quick listen. The ending was a little anticlimactic

Who is Chris Brennan?
He is the newest high school teacher and assistant baseball coach for a small town in Pennsylvania.
But who is he REALLY?
We quickly learn that Chris is not who he says he is, and with the turn of each chapter, readers piece together just why Chris has this false identity.
Fast paced ending with a few slower chapters in the middle. Still a decent read!
So-so for lack of character development.
Got through a good chunk of this book, One Perfect Lie, on my walk today, and then came home to these two adorable faces!
So far, so good! There‘s already been a twist, and the storyline is intriguing.
Anyone else read this one? Wondering if the ending will be strong.
Excellent! Good story which gets you in.
This started out so-so for me, then quickly moved up to a pick. Hard to say much about the plot as I would spoil it for those who want to read it. #ReadingUSA2019 #Pennsylvania
Not my favorite by this author. It was pretty slow for me. The beginning caught my interest and then it plateaued and never really picked back up again. The storyline was good, but it just needed something else to make the plot more entertaining.
So not what I expected! This was my first Scottoline and I was “in” from the very first page. Read like an action movie, but one I‘d actually watch ☺️
First time listening to a book on tape! It‘s so nice to do this while I knit. Why on 🌏 haven‘t I done this before, lol. Really fascinated by this book, and I can‘t wait to find out what happens. Not too excited by the narrator, though. He makes all the female characters sound like Tina on Bob‘s Burgers. 🤣🤣
Really wanted to launch my Litsy account with a rave, but in my opinion, this book was just okay. There were parts I enjoyed, but I felt like it couldn't decide whether to be domestic drama, police procedural, or by the end, a Bruckheimer action thriller. Has anyone else read this one? Was it just a case of faulty expectations on my part?
Wow! what a book! I was not expecting this. It was filled with so many twist and turns that keep me constantly guessing and wondering. Im usually good at knowing who the criminal is but this book made me think hard and still couldn't guess it. Lisa Scottoline once againg proved why she is my favorite author. her taleny is simply amazing.
5 out of 5 stars. I would def recomend it :) 💜
I liked the premise of this book; it was full of twists for me. I surprised when I saw the direction in which she was taking the reader. I was heading into an entirely different direction; I have to admit Ms. Scottoline is one of my favorite writers. Her books are great but i really like her as a person. I wasn't disappointed in this book at all. I can't go into details because I'll kill it with spoilers!
Picked this up at the exhibits at the Public Library Association conference in Philadelphia this week. Perfect plane read - it kept me engaged throughout two flights to get home. It kept me guessing until the very end! And I had visited a couple of the locations mentioned in the book while in Philly- brings the book even more alive for me.
Interesting story. Toward the reveal, the motivations of a few characters didn't seem strong enough to elicit the reactions that they did. Some chapters IMHO needed an additional read-through for minor things like awkward phrasing and non-poetic word repetition.
Misha makes a pretty good book stand, except when she licks the screen and flips the page. #CatsOfLitsy
4⭐️ One Perfect Lie is an enthralling crime story, set in a small town in Pennsylvania. You can‘t help but fall in love with Chris Brennan, almost all the girls at Central Valley High School have. He is single, good-looking & quite the gentleman. But he has a job to do, & it has all of his attention. he can‘t afford to be thinking of anything or anyone else. https://lharvey250.tumblr.com/post/159283638209/one-perfect-lie-lisa-scottoline-...
Excellent book that kept me guessing the entire time. So many people with so many lies. A guy impersonating a teacher in a high school and at first you don't know why. A death. A divorce. An affair. All leading to an exciting ending.
So many surprise twists, I was never sure where this story was heading! On a side note I love the way she goes into such detail about a subject, even subjects that wouldn't normally interest me and just enough so that it doesn't bore me at all. And then I'm surprised how well those facts tie right into her story.
Another good book!!! Some twists and turns I didn't see coming 😳😬
Just got this off hold‼️
That is one hell of an opening line. #suspense
Easy, breezy summer read.
May was a good reading month!! Did a lot of driving to finish 5 audio books.....
In a quiet, rural Pennsylvania things are not what they seem. There is a new teacher in town & as he quickly jumps into life as a teacher and assistant baseball coach but he is up to so much more. Why is he looking to rent a box truck? Why did he lie about being from Wyoming? And why is he curious about fertilizer? In this fast reading novel things are not always what they seem. This was the 1st Lisa Scottoline book I've read but won't be the last!
No lie, this is a wonderful way to spend a rainy Thursday night!! I don't think I've ever read a Lisa Scottoline book before & I'm really enjoying it....thinking I'm going to finish it in 1 sitting 😊
For a Lisa Scottoline stand alone thriller, this was an enjoyable listening! I liked how the narrator embodied the different voices. With all the seriousness in the world lately, I needed something light- is it weird that I consider Lisa Scottoline light? 🤔🤷🏼♀️ gave 4 stars on Goodreads.
Listening to a #playaway device, while having #pizzahut pizza & Coke from the #Target cafe! Got good deals on my pricey skincare products! 😎 No book purchases- I got to restrain myself somewhere!!
Sometimes working in a library is dangerous..... Today's library book haul
I was anxious to start my first Lisa Scottoline book; and I am struggling, the genre is right but the story is not sucking me in. Really having trouble caring about the characters.
I went to the library on Friday to pick up a book that I had on hold. But I really had three books total to pick up. I love when that happens. " The Day I Died" , "One Perfect Lie" & " The Widow of Wall Street". It was a tough decision to decide which to read first. So many good books in April! #happyeaster #ilovereading #books #ilovethelibrary
Intriguing from the first page! ~Jennifer

Anxious to start reading - first Lisa Scottoline book.
I'm a Lisa Scottoline fan of her #legalthrillers and these more "family/socially" based novels/thrillers. She's definitely delivered a great read with this one.
Wow. Scottoline is bringing 3 very different mothers and their relationships to their children to light in this one. Not to mention how the sons are portrayed so far.
I think she's already there. But, can any of these families get it together in time?
Just starting this ARC from one of my favorite authors. #lisascottoline
My first Lisa Scottoline book. Won an ARC. Loving it so far!!!!
