Reading about an Amazon journey at a Minnesota lake seems logical to me!

Just started this on my flight this morning. It is already so emotional that I was grateful for a DQ break on my way to next gate. Who I am kidding? I am always grateful for DQ! Back to reading!!!
I know it had bad reviews and I too think her first book is amazing....so I expected little but I really enjoyed it. Some really interesting historical information and I love the birds!!!
In honor of the cold weather in the Midwest and north east am going to read a "cold weather story". It's so easy to do when you live in California ?

This trio of tales was hypnotic, frightening and so very sad. I have mixed feelings about content but loved the author's style and language!!!
I loved this coming of age story about Loo. We learn about her life and her father's from twelve bullets. Some will see a lot of violence. I saw a lot of love just not all traditional.
Ben Montgomery Skyped with our book club tonight. His passion and candor made me love the book even more. I have read both of his books and can't wait for his next one!!!
A grew up south of Chicago so always look forward to starting a "Chicago" book!!

This is a lovely summer read which engaged all my senses. The smell of the ocean, the taste and smell of the food and the beautiful colors of the town. It wasn't a great book but I would recommend it for an afternoon at the beach. Thanks Net Galley for the early read.

I loved the beauty and emotion of this book!! It was a little choppy in its delivery but I needed to know the answers the author posed!!

This beautiful book makes me long for a simpler time under the wide open sky!! It is a love story about a boy and his father. The writing is poetic and lyrical. I will be reading many more of his books!
