I found several laugh out loud hidden in this book! I‘ll just use this one example on my husband who is an Engineer that loves Math! Me...not so much. “I‘m like a Math text book, I‘m full of problems.” He stared at me then started laughing. So that made this novel such a fun read, I was clueless as the other other characters in this book regarding mathematical equations. It just made Germaine that more humorous.

I‘m so glad that Mr. Atkins has kept The Spenser series going. So far he‘s done a great job. Spenser finds himself back in L.A and hooked up with his is mentee? Z. Sixkill to locate and bring home the daughter of a friend of Susan‘s home back home to Boston. It‘s a fast, paced read.

Wow, what a well written thriller. I have to say this one totally blindsided me. I have several things going on right now and maybe my head wasn‘t in the game and I missed some things but having said that I loved this book!

What a lovely novel! This is my first book by this author and it won‘t be my last!!!

I‘ve been a long time reader of Ms. Monroe‘s books and this one didn‘t disappoint me. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Her character‘s seem to be simple but knowing Ms. Monroe she‘s keeps you guessing revealing just enough about each one that draws you in wanting to learn more.

I really enjoyed this book it held me captive the whole afternoon. Ms. Lapena did an excellent job with the twisty plots and directions.

Mr. Coleman has done a remarkable job with this series. I‘m so glad that he‘s keeping it alive and well this latest Stone mystery didn‘t disappoint but then again it never has. It keeps me waiting until next years addition!

Not my normal read, but it was cute and had several laugh out loud moments!!

Another winner! I wasn‘t sure how I‘d feel about the addition of Reneé Ballard to Harry‘s life but so far they balance out perfectly. I look forward to the next read!

This is the third installment in the Davie Richards‘ police procedural series. Davie “Davina” is a very likable lead in the Pacific Homicide division of the LAPD. Things are quite at the moment so she‘s handling some cold cases that turn out to be extremely interesting. One in particular that proved to a real who-did-it which kept this reader thoroughly engaged through out this book. I look forward to Davie Richards!

I couldn‘t stop snickering over the Costco incident. I‘m ashamed to say that I‘m “one of those people who always stash things instead of taking items back to their rightful place” that‘s what husbands are for right? But to my defense I‘ve never ditched frozen fish anywhere that‘s for sure!!!!

Ms. Redmond‘s Det. Lauren Riley is spot on! This is a great series and leaves this reader wanting more. When Detective Riley is wrapping up for the evening in her office she‘s brutally attacked. She‘s saved by her partner who unexpectedly returns. While she‘s recovering she remembers more details which sends her department into a tailspin. Is she the intended victim or collateral damage?

This is a gritty memoir of a young women who didn‘t stand a chance in life. She was crying out for help at of three. She‘s brutally honest regarding her addiction and the people who I think played a major part in causing her problems. She was basically alone when she needed guidance the most. She accepts full responsibility of her actions and addictions. After reading this book you‘ll view drug addicts in a different lite.

Texas Ranger Mitchel Hayden and Austin‘s Medical Examiner, Faith McIntrye find themselves embroiled in a case that could easily destroy Faith. Ranger Hayden is trying to solve a horrific murder that keeps branching out. This is one romantic suspense book you don‘t want to miss. This isn‘t even one of my favorite genres but I hooked from the beginning and blindsided by the ending.

This is the memoirs from Detective Steiger‘s decades long career with the Seattle PD. Most of that time he was in Homicide, reading this book you get the inside workings of how a Homicide detective thinks. This is a must read for anyone who is a true crime buff especially back in the 80‘s and 90‘s before all the forensic science came on the scene. It‘s so different now, that‘s what I liked about this book, it shows how police work has evolved.

I enjoyed this book; it makes my goal as living as a semi-minimalist obtainable. I've read other books that have left me feeling totally overwhelmed and turned off. I've always been a neat freak on the outside but if you opened my coat closet, you would probably end-up in a neck brace. broke all areas of our life down that made sense; it's not living as a monk getting rid of all the nice items out of lives, it's just the opposite.

Young DI Amy Winters has been chosen to lead an elite highly specialized unit that handles cases that are high profile. She‘s very capable of leading this team yet she‘s suffering from some blows to her personal life. One that could destroy her and is doing her head in as the British would say. This book has several different subplots going on which are all very interesting. I read this book in one day,that‘s how engrossing it is. What a thriller!

I admired Mr. Steiger‘s brutally honest account of his life as a Homicide Detective. It brought back a lot of memories that I‘ve long buried. I‘ve worked with detectives like him who didn‘t exactly play by the rules and they always had the highest clearance rate, he cut through the BS and got his killer. This is an inside look at what a real homicide detective goes through. It‘s a hard life and one could assume it‘s a calling.

This is the first book by this author I‘ve read, I‘ve been under a rock it seems. Abbie is leaving her mom‘s home from their ritual Sunday dinner when her SUV is clipped by a drunk driver. This one instant turns her life inside out. She not badly hurt physically but she‘s destroyed when she learns more about the driver who hit her. This book is full of emotion and really well done. I hope this becomes another series, I wasn‘t ready for it to end.

Desiree Turner finds herself up to her neck in scandal. It‘s something that‘s she stumbles into regardless how careful she tries to stay out of trouble. When two completely unrelated deaths come in, she finds herself embroiled in a web of lies and deceit that could cost her family their business. These characters are so engaging and you feel like you apart of the Turner clan and I‘m looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is the 2nd book in this series. Arn Anderson is a retired big shot detective Denver Metro who has returned to his hometown of Cheyenne. He's now taken on the role as range detective to find the Midnight Sheepherder who has plagued the local sheep farmers. One night this thief gets more than they bargain for and witness a brutal murder. This is a decent series; I like the characters and the dogged determination of Arn,plus the rugged setting.

Jesse returns after a stay in rehab to a lot of trouble in Paradise. For starters what turns out to be a brutal assault of a woman who's part of a biracial couple ends up as a murder. Alisha Davis, Jesse's officer, finds herself targeted by a white supremacist group who has decided to make Paradise the starting point of a race war. The head of this group will stop at nothing to get his hateful message across. Another win in this series.

I found this to be a very witty novel. I had no idea that it was a follow-up. Kate was a hoot and I found myself LOL several times. I found myself relating to her in many ways. I loved her calling on ”Roy” for her memory lapses and then the footnotes at the end of the chapters when he recalled what she was trying to recall brilliant. This was a great read, and Ms. Pearson left it open-ended, so I wonder if we will be have more of Kate‘s escapades.

This is the second book in the Hush Money Series. Sydney Richardson is a beautiful young woman who was adopted by a great family as an infant. When her biological parents passed, she inherited a lot of money and opened two successful restaurants in Madison, WI. She also has a penchant for solving crimes; this latest one hit close to home. Her boyfriend's son‘s mom comes to Madison to claim what she feels is still hers, Sydney has met her match.

Once again Dayna and friends finds themselves up to their pretty necks in a major Hollywood scandal and murder. It‘s awards season and the parties have started along with the murder of the publicist for hottest awards shows around. Omari, Dayna‘s love interest is up for an award with this show, which only makes matters more intense since his publicist insists on linking him up in “Tomari-gate”. I found my LOL while reading this book, I loved it!

I have to agree with some of the previous reviews that I‘ve read regarding this novel. It‘s not a thriller in my opinion, it‘s more contemporary women‘s fiction. It does deal with Domestic Violence, both emotional and physical, I liked the way Ms.King wove around how it affects children who have grown up in different families, with different levels of abuse. I saw it through the main protagonist‘s eyes who‘s trying to find herself.

I had no idea this was a series! I loved it. I was also taken off guard that it was a western. I got an arc from Read-it-First, the last western I‘ve read was Lonesome Dove which I loved. Ms. McCarty hooked this reader from the start and reeled me into the wild frontier of sexy cowboys and a damsel in distress. I honestly wasn‘t ready for this book to end. I loved the characters and I‘m looking forward to her next book in this series!

I have to admit after I read this I had to think about it. It‘s a good debut, I liked the main, flawed character, Ezra. There is a a lot of depth to this novel. The ending was a great fitting for the rest of the novel. I could see why some would find it a bit odd but for some reason after hind sight I found some rather well hidden life lessons!

This was a great fast read I believe it‘s based on a true story. If it is, man the protagonist was doomed from the start. Mitt Heckler had always been a “Hell Raiser” in the West Palm Beach area and when an important man who lived on the fringe gets murdered, Palm Beach PD is pressured to find the killer and they zero in on Mr. Heckler because they already have it out for him. This book makes you think about our justice system.

This was an edge of your seat chiller. I've not read a novel that has kept me so off balance in a while. Lane, mother returns to her parent‘s home to lick her wounds after her 20 yr. marriage dissolves. She brought her two daughters one is about 10 and the other one is around 18. There is a lot of controversy surrounding her family from the past and present. Lane has made some colossal mistakes on her own that has brought more trouble her way.

This is a cute, cozy series about two magical cats, Hercules and Owen, plus their caretaker Kathleen who is also the Librarian. This is an artsy little town, and they are in the process of putting on the annual musical festival when one of the out of town guests is found murdered. Kathleen and the ”boys” are in the thick of this investigation. I love the characters and in this series; it has other subplots going on, so it's never dull!

This one was a little bit out there for me, but I did have a few laugh out loud moments. Lula never fails to disappoint me; I think she makes this series for me.

An additional winner for Ms. Ashley in this series! I loved it, Mrs. Holloway is such a likable character, she finds herself short of a kitchen assistant but she's saved by taking in a young street urchin, Tess as a favor to Mr. McDaniels. Tess proves to be a quick study even though she's pretty rough around the edges. She proves herself invaluable to the household while Mrs.Holloway tries to help Lady Cynthia solve this latest caper.

I liked the era of this book. The big bands and the whole Miami and Havana flavor. Kitty Tessler, the daughter of a Russian Immigrant‘s son who was self-made, wanted to fit in with the Bluebloods of New York so bad that she's willing to sacrifice everything. This is a quick read; there is a valuable lesson to be here as well.

I absolutely loved this book! I was so excited when I got it on Read-it-First. It‘s such a intimate look inside a marriage that many people face. I loved the characters, the premise is spot on. I‘m living it, I have been for the past 10yrs of my 32yrs of marriage. It works, we don‘t see other people, we love each other dearly. We are best friends, we just have two homes. It's getting to be common; I know a few other couples who live this way.

I wasn‘t sure what to expect with this biography, I‘ve never read any of his books and after reading this book, I‘m surprised he made it. It‘s a poignant look at an only child whose parents divorced when he was fairly young and it wasn‘t pretty. He was in a constant state of flux. He felt like a boarder with his dad‘s new family and his mom had issues that made him grow up fast. He‘s a fantastic storyteller, I found myself LOL several times.

This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series; I started it from beginning and after reading this one, I'm kicking myself for getting so far behind. I've got two more to go until I come to the end of the series. I love Odelia Grey who is a paralegal that has been tagged with the Moniker of ”Corpse Magnet”. She's a plus size woman with the heart to match, I like all the characters in this series. I hate to see it coming to the end.

This isn't my normal genre but I've heard great things about this author. She didn't disappoint me with this new series. The characters were well developed; I was drawn in by the wounded bad boy attorney who was out on Martha Vineyard, trying to make sense of what he‘d just gone through when a beautiful yet vulnerable young woman trips over him. They end up on an emotional roller coaster, the book expired when I had about 50 pages to go. Bummer!

I agree with several of the readers that reviewed this novel. It pulled me in and I was hooked. What a fantastic debut! It's a compelling read which surprised me in several ways. A highly rated Christian reality shows daughter, Ester who on the surface seems to have it all is faced with something extremely taboo. It was almost like a mystery trying to figure out what was really going on behind the scenes of this mega-churches reality show.

This was a pretty good thriller, Ms. Fleet really tossed a curve ball in this one. I was playing beat the clock because it was a Read-it-First book and I barely made it before it expired. I thought it was nicely done, there have been mixed reviews but on the whole I liked it. The protagonist had me going in several directions at once which kept it interesting that‘s for sure. It started falling together towards the end and blindsided me.

I had no idea that this was fifth in a series. I saw that there is a sixth to be released soon. I‘ve never heard of this writer before and I‘m glad I got a chance to read one of his novels. It‘s a good police procedural with its share of flawed characters which is right up this reader‘s alley. I liked the strong female presence within the department‘s ranks. I‘m dying to learn more about D.S. McElvoy who must have one heck of a back story.

This book was ok, I‘m not sure if I just didn‘t like the characters or what. The setting was wonderful, it revolved around a coastal village in Spain. It was well written, the only thing that kept me from bailing on this novel is because I wanted to find out what the deal was between these two half sisters.

Wow! What a beautiful novel! Its southern fiction at it's best; with three very different women who form a bond that holds them together through sacrifice and the love, they share for one another. This is a must-read for anyone who loves a great story. I didn't want this book to end; Ms. White has a new fan in this reader that's for sure!

This was a good read, but terrible timing on my part. I experienced a major like altering experience like the characters of this book several years ago on April 29th, so without spewing spoilers all over the place, it triggered some emotions that I'm not good at showing. I was in tears and I hate to read or watch anything that will make me cry. I thought it was we'll written, I would have liked it more if my timing wasn't so far off!

Darn it! I was 15 pages into this book when my App started to act up. I had this problem once before with a Read-it-First book. I deleted it and thought I‘d reload it. I went to the site and the download expired! Rats!!! It was looking like a great read! Well, I guess I‘ll be checking it out at the library. I can't believe my little cat still takes on a 65lb Mal; it's a good thing I looked up when I did

This was like watching a noir film. The author‘s decription of the setting and the dialog was perfectly done in the pre-war atmosphere. It could have come off as a bit corny to some, but I found it suitable for the time and place. It's a fast read; I wasn't aware that it was part of a series, it was great as a stand alone. I would love to find out what happens next in the little coastal town in California.

I liked the premise of this book; it was full of twists for me. I surprised when I saw the direction in which she was taking the reader. I was heading into an entirely different direction; I have to admit Ms. Scottoline is one of my favorite writers. Her books are great but i really like her as a person. I wasn't disappointed in this book at all. I can't go into details because I'll kill it with spoilers!

I loved this book; it was very well done. I wouldn't think of it being a young adult novel. I felt Venus‘s pain, she had so many obstacles to overcome. I think this writer took a several sensitive subjects and wove a great story.

This novel was the first I've read if the DeMarco series and it won't be my last. This is a well written legal thriller that was hard to put down. It was fast-paced and the plot was ingenious, I loved it, there was hardly any dry courtroom battling that drag a lot of legal thrillers down. We want to be entertained not learn all about the legal world.
