When you‘re just reading a cat mystery and then see the characters are going to read the same poem at the wedding in the story that you read at your brother‘s wedding, you have to stop to take a picture

I‘m sentimental about this series. It‘s the first ‘cat‘ series I ever tried and I fell in love with Hercules and Owen. I have 3 cats of my own and even if they aren‘t magical, I always see a bit of them in every Hercules and Owen story. The author must be a cat aficionado too because she gets felines right without making it cheesy.

This is a cute, cozy series about two magical cats, Hercules and Owen, plus their caretaker Kathleen who is also the Librarian. This is an artsy little town, and they are in the process of putting on the annual musical festival when one of the out of town guests is found murdered. Kathleen and the ”boys” are in the thick of this investigation. I love the characters and in this series; it has other subplots going on, so it's never dull!
