The prequel to Legends & Lattes (#Seriesread2025) and I loved hearing a bit of Viv‘s backstory. This was wonderful and I enjoyed every minute of it, especially the epilogue. Glad to hear that another book in this universe is coming out this year.

The first book in the Kate Daniels series (#SeriesLove2025). What a world Andrews has built. I love the magic, the take on weres and vampires. And Kate is a badass! I want to be her sidekick 😅. I look forward to reading more of these books in the near future, to find out more about Kate‘s past and how things evolve with Curran.
A low pick for me. The first in the looking glass wars series (#SeriesLove2025). It is a battle between white and black imaginations (Alyss vs Red). There was a lot of world building, and maybe it was because I listened to this, but I had a hard time imagining some of the world 😅. I will still continue the series, but may pick up the print next time.
Thanks for the tag @KadaGul
Thank you for the opportunity Lynn. May you have a joyous 49th birthday. #49bdaygiveaway
My first finish for #auldlangspine2025. This was such a great pick @DGRachel
I loved this world of tea dragons! It made me smile, reflect and appreciate the work the authors put into the story and graphics. I look forward to returning to the tea dragon world.
This was the perfect cozy mystery for the end of the year and my pick for December for #12booksof2024
Thank you for hosting again this year @Andrew65 It is always so fun to see everyone‘s picks, even though it‘s horrible for trying to contain my TBR. I look forward to #12booksof2025
First finish for 2025. This is the second book in the Bakeshop Cozy Mystery Series (#SeriesLive2025). A good continuation of the series. A baking competition comes to Ashland, OR and Jules is talked into being a contestant. It was a fun book, and I look forward to reading more of these series.
My September pick for #12booksin2024
An honorable mention goes to Dark Fire by C. J. Sansom, the sequel to my July pick.
My August pick for #12booksin2024 This was an excellent audiobook.
My May pick for #12Booksin2024. This was such a great look at the Tower of London Ravens and their care.
I am in for the #20in4 (but really 5) end of year readathon hosted by @Andrew65
My goal: 20 chapters

My March pick. Just saw a second book Brigands & Breadknives is due out in November 2025. Can‘t wait.
#12booksof2024
My February pick for #12booksof2024
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. May all find comfort and peace today.
My January pick. The beginning of the fabulous Gaslight series. #12Booksof2024
1st book in the Christmas Tree Farm Mystery Series (#SeriesLove2024) and it was great. I enjoyed the town of Mistletoe, Maine and all its inhabitants. Holly return home to Mistletoe after her fiancé calls off the wedding, and comes back to herself and those she loves. The mystery was good, but I‘ll come back to the series for the town and the characters.
The second book in the Merry Ghost Inn series (#SeriesLove2024) was another fun romp with Melanie and Liza. I‘m looking forward to the third (and final 😢) book.
The third book in the Matthew Shardlake series (#SeriesLove2024) takes us to York to meet a Royal Progress. This is the first time in the series that Henry VIII is a featured in the series, and he does not come across well. I am continuing to enjoy this series and love the Barak‘s development in this book. Looking forward to more as the series continues. #ShardlakeSeriesBR
This is my first time participating in #ALS. Look at this absolutely fabulous list from @DGRachel for #AuldLangSpine. I‘m having a hard time deciding on which to choose first and have placed all the pictured books on hold at the library. I am so excited to discover new authors and characters.
Thank you for hosting this wonderful event @monalyisha
I am thankful for Dame Agatha. She introduced me to mysteries through the tagged book. I still find comfort in her mysteries and have branched out to thriller mysteries, cozy mysteries, historical mysteries…. It is my go-to genre.
#SundayFunday on Monday.
A prequel to the Agatha Raisin series (#SeriesLove2024) that is set as Agatha begins her PR business. It was okay and like many novella struggled to truly tell the story. Not at all necessary to reading the rest of the series.
My #SSS #SeasonalSpiritShare consists of cozy evenings after a fresh snow, curled up with hot chocolate, pie, my pups and a good book. If not a good book a great holiday movie
I got 65/100. Several I had never heard, but now want to try. Here are the three that I will try first:
1. Butterscotch Pie
2. Graham Cracker Toffee
3. Strawberry Pretzel Salad
Now I want pie! 🥧 great list @dabbe #TLT
Graphic Novel four in the Phoebe and her Unicorn series (#SeriesLove2024). As usual, another wonderful look at Phoebe‘s world.
The 4th book in the Electra McDonnell series (#serieslove2024), and it was a doozy. The usual escapades ensue and meet a little more or the McDonnell clan‘s underworld associates, but it the evolution of the Major and Ellie‘s relationship that made the book hum. It was joyous, hopeful and heartbreaking. Looking forward to the next.
Book 4 in the Agatha Raisin series (#SeriesLive2024) was another hoot. Agatha is up to her old antics again, but there is substantial movement in her relationship with James. On to the next…
A book I read for a political-science class. May be time to revisit and rethink on its message.
If you haven‘t already please plan to vote Tuesday if you live in the U.S. It is how we make our voices heard!
#SundayFunday
I always try to incorporate one spooky read in October. I don‘t always succeed , but I try. This year I‘ve got a Simone St. James queued up. 🤞🏻I get to it.
#SundayFunday
My TBR for #deweyoct #deweysreadathon #24hourreadathon
Looking forward to a day of reading. Happy reading everyone.
The third book in the Fox & O‘Hare series (#SeriesLove2024). These are fun romps. The antics that Kate and Nick get up to are entertaining. Looking forward to more.
A fun novella in the In Deatb series (#SeriesLove2024). Perfect for spooky season as Eve investigates a murder in a haunted nightclub. Loved the sense of time and place and wished it had been longer.
The third in the Gaslight series (#SeriesLove2024). I am enjoying this series and the evolution of Sarah and Frank‘s relationship. Looking forward to more.
Book 7 in the NYPD Red series (#SeriesLove2024). These are quick, page turners. I enjoyed this one and how there will be more.
Book 3 in the Sherlock Holmes Series (#SeriesLove2024) was wonderful. I am enjoying re-reading these although I am way behind for #NoPlaceLikeHolmes
I have the tagged cued up for October from my TBR. I‘ve only read one St. James so far, but they seem perfect for spooky season.
#SundayFunday
Second book in the Matthew Shardlake series (#SeriesLove2024). It was phenomenal. I really enjoyed the two mysteries and the intricacies. I think Jack Barak added a nice counter to Shardlake. I look forward to the next book, and our discussion of this for #ShardlakeSeriesBR
There were parts of this I thought were well done and parts that were meh. When Molly talks about her family, it was so sincere and heartfelt. When she talks about her acting life it seemed flimsy and for shock value. She did okay as the narrator.
This was a decent first in the series (#SeriesLove2024) featuring Agatha Christie‘s housekeeper, Phyllida Bright. It was a Christie meets Upstairs/Downstairs. I liked Bright and the other characters and look forward to more in the series.
