May 24th #StorySettings Graveyard Part of a series I read. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
March 2 #SavvySettings Graveyard This was the last of a series, one of my favorite authors, Anne Bishop created a wonderful world here. I personally love graveyards, I took this photo of one near my home, The tree in the background was In fog. It was cool. I read this one in 2019. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Fifth book in The Others series. I think this one was more about family drama related with Officer Monty. I liked Twyla character, even Simon had his reserve to deal with her. It was very slow and finally we can see some romance that took 5 books to see it grow😳(no spoiler since it was obvious) But I still like the series. I have 2 more to read. That beautiful vampire mouth decoration was given to me by @JoScho in 2019. Her mother made it. 3.4⭐️
I am posting a book every day from my TBR collection.
Day 52

I finally finished Etched in Bone, I was on a mission as you can see yesterday I started at a rather low percent but I was going to finish! After just finishing a sexual abuse book it was hard to read one about emotional abuse but I love this world and characters and wanted to finish off the series. It was well done and I‘m happy for once I finished a series in a year! Featuring Calli in her half sleep mode #dogsoflitsy
Reading slump over -- this one took me my usual two days. We're finally getting to the romance bit, but it didn't happen until the end. Can't wait for the next one.
I adore this series and I finish the books so quickly. It makes me sad the next book seems to be about different characters but the main characters in this series do have a satisfying conclusion.
Happy 2019 everyone! Let's make it a good one shall we? #girlsgotgoals
I loved this final book in the series! I was a little worried that since this was the last of Simon and Meg‘s stories she might rush some of the overarching storylines but she spun the tale wonderfully! I‘m so glad there are more books in the Others World! I can‘t wait to read Lake Silence! It sounds like it might qualify as a “Crowgard Cozy”?
@Nessavamusic I Can‘t believe it‘s taken this long to make it this far! lol #GloryToTheGuild
What a sweet ending to the story. This was a perfect end to Simon and Meg. I know people were looking for hot romance, but this ending really stayed true to the character. Not saying I won‘t be happy if we learn more about them in future books though!!
A really nice afternoon to finish up another great book! I will have to move on from this series while I wait for book 6. Really have enjoyed all of these. If you like urban fantasy check these out!
Got up for a minute and someone stole my spot and blanket! Lol! On book #5 and still obsessed and not reading the holds I should be! Once I am done with this one the next I have to wait for so that should get me back on track.
Ready to start this one...been stalling not sure why. Currently on a work trip so perfect time to dive in!!
On to the last book currently out in this series. It also has my least favorite antagonist/conflict so I‘m not necessarily looking forward to this one. Maybe this reread will change my mind....

I can't say enough about this series, it's definitely one if my all time favourites! Full review on Goodreads. Read in March 2017
I liked this one almost as much as I liked the Written in Red. I love the way Bishop handles the interactions between the humans and the others. I'm just sorry I have to wait until March to read the next one.
Here are some of my quick DIY #bookmarks that I haven't lost yet. Although my current bookmark is actually a shoppers drug mart receipt cause I keep losing my real ones.

Gummies and an urban #fantasy start to begin the weekend.

Finally getting to this one. While my orchid flowers, it will be in ALL THE PICTURES!! Ha. #currentlyreading #annebishop #finalbookinaseries #orchid
Time to start the latest in the series, once I'm done I'll be back to waiting on Anne Bishop to get the next one out....#YearOfRereads.
This is probably my least favorite in the series so far but I do still enjoy the characters and world, so it's getting a Pick rather than So-so.
I'm almost 70% through this and it's really sort of dragging for me. It's like they all keep talking about things that might happen, but nothing ever does happen... hopefully the pace picks up a bit!
Took the morning off from work to stay with Lane who can't go back to day care until he's 24-hours without a fever. I had planned to start something from my #librarybookhaul but then my digital hold of Etched in Bone came in...
The amount of page time spent figuring out logistics is insane. But I don‘t hate it? I just wish there was more story than words spent on deciding who goes where and does what.

I do so love this series! This book slows WAY down on the world building and really focuses on character development. There is love, and discussions about all kinds of love, including tough love, as we learn more about all of the characters. 5/5 stars. Read if you enjoy urban fantasy for the unique ideas and are ok with lots of blood and gore
This book was more a crime story. Montgomery's criminal brother shows up in Lakeside with dire consequences. The wonderfully sweet romance between Simon and Meg continues. This is the most unique paranormal series.
Love love LOVE this urban fantasy series! The ensemble cast work well together and the imagined world is creative and yet, terrifying. #urbanfantasy #slowburn
I'm hooked on this fantasy series! I'm about 70% done with this one and I'm getting an "it's ending soon" vibe. Things are winding down, problems are being resolved... oh I hope this isn't the END of my beloved shifters.
I brought a few books to the Ad Astra convention in Toronto last weekend to get them signed. #AdAstra #bookconvention #AdAstra2017 #authorautographs
I absolutely love this series by Anne Bishop. The latest spends more time with some of the secondary characters, and it shows how humans handle not being at the top of the food chain. Literally. Great world building.
Finished this over Easter brunch. So good! Like it better than the previous book in the series which I thought got a little unwieldy. Still live how much of these books take place in meetings and about learning to govern on new circumstances.
Well it's been a long build up for the last page of the book but I'm so happy! This one was thrilling and while I'm sad to learn that this is the end of the Lakeside Courtyard at least Bishop isn't leaving this rich setting altogether! Plus, that makes cameos a real possibility!!
Liked it well enough but the ending was just so-so for me. Was hoping for a tad bit more. Even an epilogue.
I'm not sure how how felt about this book. In general it's a pick because if you read the first three you may as well finish. I really loved the first book. I would rather have her tie up the first in a longer book, or two books - this felt a little more contrived by the fourth. And that stinks because I loved the premise of this series.
My March in review. I book slumped *hard* after Etched in Bone. I think I started and put down at least 5 books.
I've never had #coffeeandabook, because I'm still too young for coffee. So is my mom. ? So here's my current read next to my "weak coffee." #marchmadness
I'm both joyful and sad. I can't say much more about it, for fear of dropping spoilers. I loved it, and wish it never had to end... #bittersweet #TheOthers #SimonandMeg
I've been M.I.A. from social media the last few days. Little Man came down with a stomach bug, which has left little time for reading or anything else. I'm hoping we're at the tail end of it now. I hope everyone had a much more pleasant weekend! Happy first day of spring! #springishere #byebyewinter #movieandreadingday
I am having the worst luck with my technology selection for #readharder2017. The first book I chose wasn't what I thought it would be so I DNF'd it. The one I was currently attempting to listen to on audio is so scratched I'm having to skip through half of it. I'm going to check Overdrive to see if it's there.
In much better news, this beauty came in from the library, and I'll be diving right in!! #excitementabounds #aurevoirreadingslump
This is truly a wonderful series. It's about man coexisting with nature and all the other living things we share this earth with. How man allocates and control more than they're entitled to that they destroy the homes of other creatures and their food. How nature fights back in retaliation by bringing out weather changes, storms, floods, extreme heat, earthquakes. If only man would learn not to complicate things and be content with a simpler life.
I love this series! The writing is a little repetitive, but I'll put up with it because I enjoy the story so much. Such an interesting take on #supernaturalromance, now it's a waiting game for the next book, I suppose. #urbanfantasy
