Not too bad for fitting books in between grad school. (I admittedly relied heavily on audiobooks while cleaning, working out, running errands, meal prepping, everything…) Here‘s to a better year, in every way!! Happy New Year Litsy Fam!!!
My total for the year is 180, the most I‘ve read since I was in school for my MLIS. 2020 was great for something at least — my reading life! ♥️📚
What a whopper of a year. I don‘t think I would have hit anything near this number without audio books. I‘ve been struggling to focus on physical books these past months!
A rewarding year although my average rating isn‘t even four stars. I feel like I‘ve read some really great books and more than I ever would have thought possible. On to 2020!
Well, I did it guys!!!!!! 🤩 Completed my Goodreads challenge with 75 books for the year 📚
I am only 5 away from my 2018 Reading Challenge of 75 books.
I am so close but I know I can read 5 books in 21 days.
It feels good to reach a reading goal. Even if I don't get 5 more, I'm pretty proud of myself for the 70 I have gotten to read with how busy my life is. I have read some pretty incredible books this year.
Has anyone else reached their #Goodreads2018ReadingChallenge , almost reached it, or even passed it?
First in a series about American-born Chinese Anna who loves reading so much. The author wrote20+ books that are intergenerational as well as intercultural. So I googled her and she died 3 years ago at the age of 57! 😕
This is the visual representation of my Year in Books, according to Goodreads.
Mission Accomplished 💯📚🤓
Not bad, although I'm wondering why they send us these when there are still 2 reading weeks left in the year! 🤔BTW I believe IT is the longest book I've ever read, period, not just this year. I read a lot of Sweet Valley books earlier in the year. I technically beat my goal of 165 in July but if I hadn't gotten pregnant I probably would have been able to break 300. 😦Oh well! Still very happy with the outcome. #2017review #goodreads 🤓📚🤓
#Goodreads year in review. It has been a good year, but not as much leisure reading because of school. My number is only so high because I review a lot of the picture books I read. 😂 Although Cinnamon is a lot longer than 3 pages
Hoping to add 4 more books by the end of the month. I‘m annoyed that my longest book is inaccurate, the 1137 actually represents the whole LOTR trilogy. But please enjoy the gratuitous picture of Viggo as Aragorn 😂

A sweet #middlegrade story of friendships, growing pains, fitting in and forgiveness. This is the first book in the series. Anna is an ABC - American Born Chinese. She's trying to figure out where and how she fits in, especially when her best friend starts spending time with some girls who aren't so nice to Anna.
Starting this #middlegrade novel today that is the first in the series. I'm expecting good things. ☺️
#booksaboutbooks, the middle grade fiction edition.
Two from my shelf, still unread. Both look fun and bookish. Book Scavenger is more adventure/mystery and involves lots of book puzzles and clues. The Year of the Book looks more realistic about a girl who wants to make friends but struggles, and in the meantime, find companionship in books.

A Chinese-American girl read-walks through 4th grade, struggles with introversion and making a new friend, who is having her own family issues. A sweet little book that captures the troubles of a 4th grade girl pretty well. Plus, there are references to the books she reads through the year. I loved it most because she was me at that age-she'd always rather stay at home and read her library book than go to a friend's house to play. Me all over.
For my post-Midwinter reading this year, I'm going back to some middle-grade classics that I often recommend but haven't actually read.
I am VERY into the idea of a bathtub full of pillows for leisure reading. Good classroom idea, Mr. Schmitz!
I don't think I will be able to finish another book before the end of the year, so here is my end-of-year total. Thanks to the inspiration of my fellow Littens, I was able to read 66 books. That was great, because my goal was 53. I am pretty excited and am looking forward to being even better in 2017 😊🎉
@LindsayReads thank you! I found it. Sure I've read more....forgot about The Tommyknockers lol it was the most ridiculous book I've ever read!! Love This 📚❤️
I love Goodreads' personalized year in books! It's a great moment to be all, "Oh yeah! I forgot I read that. It was amazing!"
