It took me two summers but finally finished! Now I need the next one, but I think that she needs to finish writing it first 😂

When it‘s too hot to read outside…I love this library 🙌
Back with my favorite family in the 18th century
Really good addition to the series. After so many books, I still love these characters and Gabaldon‘s ability to tell a good story. The narrator is also really great! 🎧
I enjoyed reading this series!!! I know there will probably be another book, so I will just have to wait and see what happens next. I love the characters and the plot of the book. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
I never know what to say when I have read one of the Outlander series. I am so invested, the stories feel like part of me. I laugh, I cry, this book, like the others, is an emotional journey.

I met my goal by finishing this! 🤩
The 4 books I ordered during Prime Days! I got all 4 for $23 (I had a $15 off $30 deal to use during Prime Days and all of these were deals). They came a little banged up but being such a good deal I don‘t want to complain. The V.E. Schwab is a special edition with a built in ribbon bookmark which I love!
My little foster baby is giving me an excuse to get in a little more reading. I couldn‘t possibly get up and disturb his nap… #kittens #currentread
Got this from a friend today…we will see how it goes!
Took me forever to read and these books are getting too long. But I think way too much about time travel and the consequences when I read these books. The battle scenes in this one were spectacular. Can‘t wait to wait years for the next one.
So reading this slow. That battle scene from Roger‘s arrival until chapter 93 for sure….beautifully written.
The face of a creature with two children to keep track of, one sent home sick from school (in the black and white pants) and one chilled to the bone from jumping in puddles in the rain on the walk home (in the blue fleece sleeper). The solution: Sit on both of them at the same time. #dogsoflitsy
#Bookspin and #doublespin….14 & 2….Ancestor Trouble and Outlander. Have to read #LMPBC in to the bargain. Looking forward to this December!
It's taken me over a month to read all 1,325+ pages of this hefty tome, but I think that suited the slow pace of the story: exciting stuff doesn't really get going until the final quarter. That doesn't bother me. I'm interested in the domestic details, and enjoyed my extended visit with Claire and Jamie and everyone.
At the #Airport stopped in one of the stores and I always check out the book stand!
It will be awhile before I get to the latest book in the #Outlander series. Only read up through book four.
Yep, that's about the measure of it! 😂
In fact, on my way back from the woods earlier, I stopped by a handwritten sign that offered free cooking apples. I thought two or three would make a nice crumble: the chap kindly gave me 5 KG! 🍎
I haven‘t read this book yet, but this story reminded me of it. 🐝 https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/13/world/europe/bees-queen-elizabeth.html.
I just finished Go Tell the 🐝 🐝 🐝 and that means I need to get back to work and get ready for the coming school year. I really hate leaving the ridge. I read some reviews that people were disappointed by this book, I admit I'm not a fan of the battle scenes. I actually get kind of tired of Claire's obsession with medicine. But I'm hooked. I'll probably reread most of it all just before the next book come out.
Besides catching up on new picture books, I'm reading the most recent #Outlander installment. I'm 45% through and relishing the time on the Ridge. We've been having heat advisories, so sitting still, drinking lots of fluids suits me. I'm fascinated by the fact that Claire would be my grandma's age, and Brianna is close to my mom's age making me contemporary with the kids and I'm in my 50s.
Well, I finally finished it. It was slow at times but I mostly enjoyed it. 3.5/5⭐

1. I‘m about 6 books behind my Goodreads goal for number of books. I had a slow to start to the year but have been tearing through books lately!
2. My only goal involving a book I own is to read the tagged book - the latest in the #outlander series
@TheSpineView
Book #9 in the series. Now that I‘ve re-read the series I am not as impressed by this one. While I love the story of Jamie & Claire and all of their family & adventures, I felt like a lot of the book was just fluff. No substance or meat for like 75% of it. Also since the series was fresh in my mind, I felt there were a lot of little inconsistencies that really bothered me. I am still looking forward to book 10!
It pains me to say it, but I was not overly impressed or invested in the story. So many things left unexplained or just dropped. I love love love Jamie and Claire but this one disappointed.
Goodness, I love this series but they take me a long time to read!!
Anyone else in DAR or love looking into their family history? I gave my patriot story this year and he fought in the Battle of Kings Mountain. I‘ve never read a book that mentioned a battle that I know my ancestor fought in. I love this series and am so excited to continue reading this book to see how the battle fits in to Jaime and Claire‘s story
Reading this book felt like a long awaited visit with old friends (plus an opportunity to gaze longingly at my forever book husband, but I digress). An ill-timed library hold forced my hand with this 900-page bohemoth, but once I got back into the rhythm of Fraser's Ridge it somehow still didn't feel long enough. I hope I don't have to wait another 7 years for book 10 😩
And the epic story of Claire and Jamie continues. I'm always a little amazed at how real Gabaldon's characters feel, and not because of the TV series. It feels like reading someone's memoir, with some other perspectives included to give a more complete story. And now we wait for book 10. #22-2022
It‘s been a hectic month but I finally finished this monster of a book.
Claire & Jamie are trying to manage the rising tensions on Fraser‘s Ridge & beyond. Brianna & Roger are finding their feet as they adjust to being back. Ian, with Rachel‘s help, is confronting his past. William is struggling to come to terms with his parentage.
This feels like an in between book before we get to the big action we all know is coming, but in a good way. 4⭐️
I'm finally finished! After years of entering Goodreads Giveaways I finally won something. I started reading this series right after TV show began. So this was a first time I was able to read as soon as book was published. But when my free copy of Bees arrived, I was hesitant to start reading.
So why did I wait 2 months to start reading? When I'm attached to these characters and I want to know what happens to them? ⬇️
Probably last read by the fire of the Season. But not to jinx it I'm not going to clean up the ash for a few days.
Hopefully I'll finish this over the weekend. I'm on Page 704.
My favorite part is Ian's roadtrip with all the women. "Or I'd be askin' him how to say, 'Clear off, ye brazen-faced trollop," in Mohawk."- Jenny Murray ?
Not bad for a short month! Managed to keep up with all my Challenges, Readalongs, Book Club Reads plus a few more.
And I'm still chugging along on 🐝🐝🐝.

My March #bookspin list.
I may have overcommitted myself on buddy reads this month, but they are all titles I have really been wanting to read so we‘ll see how this goes. Filled in with some other categories for mood reading.
Since the tagged book is very long, I gave it two spots. Plus it‘s also one of my #roll100 choices so if I manage to finish it in March, it will count towards three #bookspinbingo spaces.
#roll100 choices! Since I had so many TBR books on my shelves I doubled up giving me two choices for each number. I can choose the one that most appeals to me, or read all four if time allows.
Roll 1: From Twinkle with Love / Truthwitch
Roll 2: The Love Interest / Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone
I‘m going for the new Outlander, but it‘s very long so we‘ll see. Then I‘ll probably pick From Twinkle with Love as I know it will be short & sweet.
Of course Goodreads would recommend this powerful biography of a woman's imprisonment and resistance to be paired with the time-travel historical-fiction of the Outlander series. ??🤔
Using the Snow Days to make a start. Won a copy on Goodreads and received it around December 1st. Didn't start reading immediately because December is my Holiday Romance month. While I'm excited to read, I'm also a little bit hesitant. Here's why.
I love these characters. Not only Jamie & Claire but the younger generation as well. My problem with these books is the continued return to Sexual Assult as a plot device. 👇
My January reads. Managed a book club book, a few #pop22 books and a few just for me books. #JumpStart2022
20 Dec 21-28 Jan 22
I have not enjoyed any of the books in this series as much as the first. The characters and storylines have grown exponentially, yet I only really care about Claire and Jamie. And how little of WIMOHB I remembered!
Which is not to say I did not enjoy this (or find myself reading into the night), but I do miss young Jamie and the sexual tension of the earlier books. William might be a substitute, but I really dislike Amaranthus.
Yay, had a delayed opening at work today and got the chance to finish up the newest installment of The Outlander saga! It didn‘t disappoint but was left with a cliffhanger. Now the waiting begins ⏰ #JumpStart2022
