Finished my list for the April edition of #bookspinbingo
Many of these I've carried over from the previous month...
Hope to read more this month....
@TheAromaofBooks
This was just what I needed. I love Star Wars and this ya version was great. I have every intention of reading the other two.
Also for #EasterExtravaganza their is an "A" in the title and the words flower and star in the book.
@Andrew65
Really easy to read, but it gives extra character development to these characters i‘ve always loved. Very nice. My crush on Han has doubled down.
Some special cookies for this evening
The results are in #StarWarsBuddyRead & they were pretty unanimous. All the votes went to these 4 books, so they‘ll be our next 4 after this month. The first three all tied for first place, so I just arranged them somewhat logically (at least to me):
We‘ll finish up our trilogy with Thrawn: Treason in October
Read the novelization of The Last Jedi in November
And then Resistance Reborn in December before the new theatrical release.
(Cont.⤵️)
Just a reminder as you finish up Solo this month, up next for September is The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy...back to where it all began (for me anyway) and voting is up for our next choice for October!

Loved this epic quick retelling of Star Wars A New Hope. I loved the different perspectives you get with an inside view into the minds of these three amazing characters. You get a view of the three that you don‘t get in the movie. I like Luke a lot more from this perspective. Leia has a new depth to her. Han is struggling with his empathy in a way you don‘t see in the movie. Quick, fun and a good way for the younger gen to get into Star Wars.
1. The tagged book. Interesting so far with the different perspectives of the events.
2. Three bags full for my #LMPBC
3. The Girl With All The Gifts - Pretty true to the book but with some changes. Preferred the book.

Didn‘t add a single thing to the first book
A wonderful retelling of the original story we all know and love for a younger generation.
I particularly enjoyed it on audiobook, it was a pleasant escape for when I wanted something light and fun....and this story, in a slightly different version, makes me remember when I first saw and feel in love with this movie.
Went for toilet paper and laundry detergent and walked out with this! Thanks Dollar General!
The concert venue next door to my work is showing A New Hope tonight with a live orchestra. I decided to decorate. Santa is trying to bring balance to the force 😂
Attended the Detroit Symphony Orchestra as they performed John William‘s score of Star Wars A New Hope! Marvelous; loved it!!!
#SeptemberDanes #day5 #RocketBrothers The first pair that came to mind for this prompt is definitely Luke Skywalker & Han Solo. You can even go right back to the beginnings of Darth Vader when he was still Anakin Skywalker, a young boy with a passion for racing rocket ships. Back to Han & Luke though, both end up becoming Rebel pilots, flying against the Empire in the Millennium Falcon & later Luke in his X-Wing with R2D2. #greatkiddontgetcocky
I needed something I didn‘t need to think too much about, and this is great fun.
#BookMail & #StarWarsHaul Pt2 is the first book in this gorgeous new editions of the original trilogy rewritten by new authors. A New Hope:The Princess,The Scoundrel And The Farm Boy by Alexandra Bracken. This book is just as beautiful naked, at the end of the bookhaul I‘ll post a picture of them all without covers. You know the story of this one, if you don‘t, where have you been living?? #ALongTimeAgoInAGalaxyFarFarAway
Ok I need all the novelizations to be like this!! I‘m so impressed by this!
Continuing my theme of Star Wars books 😂 This wasn‘t audio, I love Alexandra bracken so I‘d been wanting to read this for some time. A cool retelling of A new hope, I thoroughly enjoyed this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
☝️Leia! "Someone has to save our skins. Into the garbage chute, fly boy."
✌Four and Ten "Brilliant!"
?I've only read the books (well, the first four), but Team Snow "You know nothing, Jon Snow."
?Back to the Future "Where we're going, we don't need roads."
?Kermit "I guess I was wrong when I said I never promised anyone. I promised me."

I did an Alexandra Bracken 2-for-1 for these two #JubilantJuly prompts. Never Fade is part of her Darkest Minds series, and I really like the #compasspoints on the cover. The other is her Star Wars book featuring Leia's #sideprofile . I haven't picked up the others in the series (I should!), but hers was fun! @RealLifeReading
Really quick middle-grade read. Perfect for anyone wanting to understand the story of these characters better. And the sketches throughout added more to the story!

"Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope"
These sketches throughout the book are ??

"Nothing like a severed limb flying through the air to break up a perfectly good day in a cantina." I see we're now in Han's POV. ?
Celebrating Star Wars Day with our next Family Book Club pick! It's a juvenile retelling of A New Hope and it's really good! 😍
Day 4 of #maybookflowers is pretty self-explanatory. :) #inagalaxyfarfaraway #starwars #anewhope #episodeiv #alexandrabracken
After months of searching for this book everywhere , I randomly stumbled upon it yesterday in a pop culture store! I didn't even care it was damaged , I was so happy to have found it 😇 Even book depository didn't have it, and that's a real struggle.

A huge storm knocked out the power at my library so I'm catching up on our next book club book in the teen reading area via lantern. 💙
As a kid Alexandra Bracken wrote a fic about a droid uprising lead by R5D4 (look it up) against the Jawas where she wrote all the droid dialogue in binary then translated it into basic. Because she's perfect. #Yallfest
Seems like a good day to share these lovelies, recently added to my TBR pile 💙💚❤️
This was a nice MG retelling of episode IV! Very character oriented, it focused a lot on the titular trio in ways that aren't necessarily included in the movie (i.e. motivations, backstories, etc). Overall 4/5.
