Whose ready for another #SetYourOwnGoals 9 day readathon? Don‘t know about you but I need something positive to focus on, and even better if it helps our reading! The #NutsInMay and #EasterExtravaganza Readathons worked so well in April and May, so why not a #JoysOfJune Readathon starting this Saturday.

CocoReads I‘m in! I‘ll think about my goal, the end of it will be my weekend to work but I might be able to read a lot up to it. 5y

Velvetfur This sounds great! So, just to check I've understood it right - we set a goal, as you described, then....post about it daily over the 9 days...? Then say how we've done towards that goal on the 9th day...? 5y

Andrew65 @Velvetfur Yes set whatever goal you want using the ideas mentioned or your own ideas. Post your proposed reading stack on Friday or Saturday (or before that) and then doing a regular or daily post up dating your progress and a post at the end to let us know how you did. If you tag me and out the #JoysofJune hashtag in any posts. Very informal. 5y

Managed to get through a fair amount of books during the #easterextravaganza readathon! I wanted to read volumes 10-14 of Lumberjanes and finish at least 2 other books and I was super close to my goal, but I didn‘t manage to read the last volume of Lumberjanes. Thanks for hosting @Andrew65

#easterextravaganza wrap up

My goal was to read/listen to 1,098 pages and I made it to 1,174. It helped that I had Friday off unexpectedly. 😊

I wrapped up 1 book, read 2 entirely, read 2 novellas, read 2 short stories, and started 2 more.

Extravaganza: A Joke Book | Gordon Lish

Yesterday got away from me a bit. I had two zoom book group meetings and also got outside for a while. So my update is late and also not terribly successful in terms of stated goals, but I did finish two other books.

1. I made a little progress with #bookspin and #authoramonth but this week should be better. (Maybe?)

2. I made #audiobook progress but will still have plenty for #40miles20hours and have another queued.

You all helped me check some boxes this week - I got this book off of my shelf after almost 3 years & finished it! I read for 16 hours and 18 minutes. I read a book with a female character, an A on the cover, and To Be inside.
I wasn‘t a fan of this book, but now it‘s off my shelf!

#EasterExtravaganza wrap up

Goal 1: finish House of Hades and Nancy Drew #53 - done and done
Goal 2: work on audiobook - not even a minute
Goal 3: read at least two other books - yes and no; read one bad romance and most of a good one, but didn‘t finish before the end of the readathon

Overall about a 50% success rate, but I‘m ok with what I accomplished. With life as crazy as it is right now, any reading time is a plus.

Maybe I'm a bit late, but here's my final update for the #EasterExtravaganza (thank you again, @Andrew65 , for hosting this readathon!)
Sooo.. I finished Anna Karenina 💪🏻and read two books (La misura del tempo e A Discovery of Witches) 💪🏻💪🏻; my original plan was also to read a graphic novel, but I couldn't make it 🙁, maybe next time..
Over all I'm very happy with my results 🥳😊
