Star Wars: The Living Force | John Jackson Miller
post image

repost for @BookwormAHN:

In January we read or are still waiting to read Tears of The Nameless. How did y'all like it?
For February we have The Living Force. It takes place shortly before The Phantom Menace and we are back with the Jedi from that era. This should be good.
As always if anyone wants to be added or removed just let me know. And May the Force Be With You Always #StarWarsBuddyRead

The_Literary_Jedi Really liked TotN. The audio was awesome! Story kicked along at an even keel and there were some great character moments built in naturally. Really great read 22h
BookwormAHN @The_Literary_Jedi Yay, I'm still waiting on the audiobook from my library. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it 😺 20h

Jari-chan Loved Tears Of The Nameless ❤️ Started with the new book as well and the start is already quite fun. 19h
PuddleJumper I'm just keeping note. My library heavily favours the younger books and graphic novels 15h

George Mann did an awesome job here (after reading the afterword it's even more impressive and moving). These books are getting better and better and better. And there's always a character I loose my heart to. Here it was Amadeo.
And I LOVED Dorian's part. I imagined a young, maybe confused kid reading this and finally finding some answers. Just all the hearts, really.

I really like Corran Horn so I was happy he was the MC. I also enjoyed getting more Jedi lore. But holy shit was this one long-winded novel. I was starting to feel like it was never going to end, and that makes it border on so-so.

1/80

•I loved Most Wanted (Han and Qi‘ra‘s origin story) by Rae Carson, so I was all set to love this one. But, unfortunately, it failed to lure me in. Maybe it's because it was a different writer.
•The narration by Oliva Hack was okay.
