pick#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 I‘ve enjoyed the first two books in the Kinsey Milhone series and I will continue to read them. They‘re not cozy mysteries but they‘re not particularly graphic. Just easygoing. I don‘t want to invest money in any more though. I‘m definitely appreciative of having a library card and access to LIBBY.
so-soPretty sure I would not have dived straight into the next book in this series if my library hadn't had a bind up of the first two stories together. As it is I'm glad I did, because I ended with a more favourable impression after the second than I did after reading the first. A few more chuckles in this one. 1/?
Finally continuing this series. If this is like most mysteries for me, this should be a quick read. Picture is with my best reading buddy. #catsoflitsy
pickB is for Burglar is the second book in the series and I am loving Kinsey! She is a great character. I continue to like the fact that the story isn‘t overly complicated and confusing, and I love that the vocabulary isn‘t dumbed down for the masses. Makes this teacher heart happy!

pickI've read this many times, I keep forgetting where I'm at in the series. I've been reading them since high school and I'm finally Kinsey's age which is crazy to me! I forgot how matter of fact she is but it's not a bad thing!
pickI loved it! Kinsey is hired to find a missing person, and finds herself in a murder mystery. I felt like this book showed a little more of Kinsey‘s personality, and I think she and Stephanie Plum would be great friends.

pickThe motive behind this whodunnit seemed contrived but yet I tore through this one. I forgot how catty (but vivid!) Kinsey could be when describing people and their appearances— at least in the earlier books.
These bring me back to a time and place I‘m very familiar with— California in the 1980s. When DNA analysis didn‘t exist, and serial crimes were rampant. But hey the weather was usually great!
It just continued to snow :( Please be clear and pretty for morning!? Or at least by afternoon tomorrow? UGH (I got a bit into the tagged book. I am having a hard time with the lighting here to really delve into it as much as I want to)

Kinsey was 20 in 1970. I don‘t think much has changed since then — the majority of police are still male.

I don‘t think my reading amount had really changed much. Right now I‘m home which means I read a tad less (because of my hubby and doggies needing attention) but I‘m sure it will even out when I get to my contract
Mysteries are good to get lost in. So I‘ve started this one to help me fall into a book world

Starting on this one today! I loved the first one and decided I wanted to read these because --- well who doesn't love a good mystery ??
Anyway I don't think I will be able to finish it before I leave for my next contract but... Maybe? Finger's crossed (I mean all else fails I take it with me)

I‘m a big fan of the alphabet series and I was heartbroken when Sue Grafton passed away. So I came across @BookwormM ‘s posts on #KinseyAWeek a few days ago, and I mentioned about my short but precious interaction with Sue 8 years ago (!!!) when I did a re-read on “B is for Burglar” 💞 I found that Facebook post and thought of sharing it here
so-soThe book was a fast read. I liked the first book better but definitely some plot twists.
Another #minibookhaul - all #TBR. Trying to push myself to read outside of my #SFF comfort zone led me to pick up some books that weren‘t really on my tbr radar. pickI always felt too snobby for these books but how much fun is Kinsey Millhone??? Great audio on another madcap adventure for a signature on a legal document that takes Kinsey to Boca in search of her client's missing sister. I love this series!
In this case B is obviously for Orange. According to one thing I saw whilst researching orange, it is the quickest to be recognised by the human brain, hence all those orange cones on the motorway that we so love! 🍊 🍊 🍊

Kinsey, for the last ten years I been eating with kids who sit and pick all the onions and mushrooms out. I don't know how to eat if it's not made with Hamburger Helper.
Second day of a brand new job, and reading this gem because A) it's where I am in the series and B) it was the lightest book I could put my hands on yesterday since my Kindle was out of battery power.
Finished “A” in 24 hours so moving right along .. I‘m hoping to clear Z by August . 🤗 #bookinit
pickA quick, fun read. Kinsey is an appealing narrator and protagonist, with a wry, self-deprecating wit. I did find she has a tendency to introduce a lot of characters quite quickly which meant I struggled a bit to remember who was who so I think these are best read at one sitting or close to it.
I knew Mim liked my bookbag but I guess I didn't know how much!
