Abby Jimenez is a fairly new Author for me and I have enjoyed everything I‘ve read so far. I thought this cover matched my reading blanket pretty well. #13of2025
I finished this 2 days ago. Popular influencer, Vanessa, has a crying baby left by her sister who has problems with addiction. Enter next door hottie lawyer, Adrian who needs some sleep who doesn‘t know it yet but his gf Rachel is about to reveal to him she‘s married, helps Vanessa with baby Grace. They become friends and more. Vanessa had a tough family hand dealt to her and she handles it with grace, not the baby, but actual grace. lol, pick!
I love Abby Jimenez, her books are relatable and fun and I always end up laughing my head off….this one had those moments too but also made me bawl like a baby.
Vanessa has a 50-50 chance of dying of ALS by the age of 30. Every other woman in her family has. So when she meets Adrian, the hot lawyer next door and bonds with him over raising her baby niece, she refuses to fall in love….but we can‘t really control that can we?
Alright, so I‘m all caught up on Abby Jimenez. I loved this one just like I‘ve loved all of the others. What am I supposed to read now? Hopefully something in that stack of library books will pique my interest 🤓
Another Abby Jimenez down!! I am really enjoying her relatable and real life romances. They‘re steamy, funny, sweet, almost tear jerking, and just the whole 9 yards. It was a real treat that this series is on Kindle Unlimited too. If you haven‘t given her a try (I am late to the game) do it!!!! 💗
I ended up listening to this one since I‘m still waiting for Book 2 in the series (I don‘t think there is a real specific order but some of the characters from other books overlap but not necessary for the story). Another easy, quick, fun read perfect for my current headspace. This book highlights some of the complexities of ALS & disability rights/societal complications. Again another story of miscommunication that leads to a happy ending. I do
Really enjoyed this! Abby Jimenez falls into the same category (for me) as Ali Hazelwood, Christina Lauren, Colleen Hoover, and Emily Henry. When I'm looking for a romance...these authors don't disappoint. I would say this probably is my favorite of Abby Jimenez's books that I've read. Has all the right elements and I really enjoyed the characters and their journey. Wasn't sure how it was going to end, kept my fingers crossed the whole time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
My second Abby Jimenez, and a second pick for me. As I've said, romances are very hit and miss for me. I need interesting characters, chemistry, and snappy dialogue. I feel like those things are in short supply in the majority of romance books lately. But this one was cute and had those elements - also the cringe factor was tolerable 😂. I definitely enjoyed it.
I cried at the last two books I have read, so why did I start “Life‘s Too Short” by Abby Jimenez? Sure, I love Abby‘s books, but this one is gonna kill me - unless there‘s a great twist!! Is there? Don‘t tell me…gotta go finish. #SERIESLOVE24 @TheSpineView

This book I just finished this week fits today‘s #ItTakesAllKinds prompt #WithLawyer as one of the MCs., Adrian, is a lawyer. It also includes an elderly chihuahua, a baby & the other MC, Vanessa, an influencer/vlog star. With this book, I‘ve now finished both Abby Jimenez‘s series & I‘m a bit sad because these are such sweet, heartfelt rom-com books but with some depth & poignancy. She makes me both chuckle & cry.💛
Hooked from the beginning. It had all the feels, I cried and laughed. Well written and characters to die for. Loved and could easily read again. 4.5 ⭐️

This is my #DoubleSpin selection for this month. @TheAromaofBooks

I found I really enjoyed this author‘s #RomCom novels & have been working my way through her backlist. I recently finished the first two books in her Friend Zone trilogy & I‘m waiting for my library e-book hold to come on the tagged third book. 🩵🩷💛
I think I have now read all of Abby Jimenez‘s books in a 2 month period. This one wasn‘t my favorite but I did like it. An interesting premise for a romance. She has to take care of a baby and the guy helps and they fall in love.
The last 3 books I‘ve read have all been about social media and influencers and I‘m just not into it. I‘ll say more about it in another book review.
#jubilantjuly
I‘ve been busy reading these two captivating romances. The romantic heroes Jason and Adrian are so attractive. Both books tackle serious issues in a fun lighthearted manner providing a much needed escape from reality. Don‘t get me wrong there‘s still lots of drama - 👍👍💚🐉
It‘s official!!!! I‘ll ready anything Abby Jimenez writes. I love the writing style and humor throughout the book. I fall in love with the characters and am totally invested in the stories. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a really good book! Vanessa, a popular YouTuber, might have ALS so she has sworn off men. But then she meets her neighbor, Adrian, and plans change. There are funny, sad and heartwarming parts and I loved every bit of it.
Well, it‘s official! I have a NEW favorite author! Y‘all again literally lol‘ing in the first two pages. Ugly crying throughout. A total Le Sigh in the best possible way at the end. If you haven‘t read this author you need to. And seriously, do yourself a favor and have Kleenex handy! #littensloveromance
Romantic and heartbreaking at times. Wonderful characters and storyline.
“Having something to look forward to is tantamount to happiness.”
I look forward to these homemade muffins (and the tagged book) each morning. 🫐
“Um, where's the dog? You do remember you have one, right?“
“With all the shitting it does? how could I forget.“ I logged on to my desktop.
“You just left him at home? He can't be in the apartment all day by himself, He'll be lonely.“
“he's got the demon he's possessed with to keep him company“
Just me sitting here trying to figure out how this book has wrecked me and made me love it simultaneously.
Wow, what a beautiful, down to earth love story that takes a hard topic about someone with a terminal illness and tells a grounded love story that doesn't magically fix the issues mentioned in the story but tells the story in a very realistic way. Well done. Beautiful.
This was my third Abby Jimenez book in about a week as she quickly became my must-read, favorite author of 2021. All of her books have been sweet, but I really appreciate how she is able to expand her stories past the vapidness often found in chick-lit, and give substance to her characters while they experience difficult emotions and life struggles. At the same time, these reads aren't too heavy--it's truly the perfect balance.
I don‘t often cry at books, but this one got me. I think the idea that Adrian adopted Grace even as he went searching for Vanessa hit me because my stepdad raised me from the time I was a baby until he died eight years ago. I definitely see this plot point through a biased lens.
I‘ve read all of Abby Jimenez‘s 3 published books over the past few months, and I‘m a fan. I‘m looking forward to her next one in 2022.
I love Abbi Jimenez‘s books. Charming and funny but meaningful and important too. This one touches on grief, access for differently abled people, drug abuse and mental health. It is a lot but so well done! Highly recommend! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
I really enjoyed this! The two main characters are both pretty adorable. This does involve some serious subjects, most especially chronic illness. This walks the fine line between romance and women‘s fiction. It is very low steam. 4.5⭐️
What a lovely book! 'Life's too short' follows Adrian and Vanessa a Youtube vlogger who is battling what may be ALS, a hereditary and deadly disease that‘s already taken her sister.
Through their meet-cute & subsequent friendship that slowly & then ferociously erupts into a romance, one second I was bawling & the next I was laughing through the tears.
Abby writes love really, really well & this book just proves how masterful she is in the genre.
5/5 for this romance! This was so good! I will warn you have the tissues ready! The romance was so great. I love a good friends to lovers. I would recommend this one.
This was a romantic comedy with teeth! It covered disability and mental health in a realistic and empathetic way while also hosting laugh out loud moments. Vanessa and Adrian as the main characters are well-rounded, flawed yet lovable, and so fun to read! Get this one - you won‘t regret it!
This book made me ugly cry, in the best possible way. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The women in Vanessa‘s family have all passed before the age of 30 from ALS, so she‘s decided to put everything into living every moment, and making sure her dad and siblings will be financially taken care of when she‘s gone. What she doesn‘t expect is to be suddenly fostering her half-sister‘s newborn. And she certainly doesn‘t expect the hot next door neighbor.
Funny, sad, poignant, and hopeful, I enjoyed this one.
The 3rd in a series. I liked it, but I think book 2 was my favorite.
Coffee and a book on the patio before we head down to the beach. I‘ve been looking forward to this new release! #bookspinbingo
Finished this one last night and loved it. It's one I didn't want to end because I wanted to stay with the characters. It does deal with some heavy subject matter in the sense that one of the characters has lost family members to ALS and has a 50% chance of having it herself. I admit that I did tear up a bit towards the end. This was a great book.
Visiting friends in AZ and got a good kick out of noticing that my drinkware is color coordinated to the book I'm reading. May need to buy all the colors and make this a new "thing" ?
Being in vacation mode myself, this was a fun read experiencing so many foreign and domestic locations though the eyes of Vanessa, a travel blogger raising money for ALS. ↩️
All the feels. Hard to believe, but each Abby Jimenez book is better than the last. Love this series! 💜
Also, I could listen to Zachery Webber all day. He‘s got a gorgeous voice.
Book 1 for #NutsInMay
Starting off #NutsinMay!
I was almost late to my massage appointment, an appointment I‘ve been waiting forever for (we were just allowed to start going to spas again last week), because I got sucked into the tagged audiobook.
Now I‘m reading Oops, I‘ve Fallen on my Kindle while I get a pedicure.
Books & spa = a fabulous Saturday!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was just too cute and I love this series. The banter was great and the friendship with the romance was just so sweet. #bookstagram #bibliophile #litsy #littens #bookreview #review
