Have always been a bit hesitant to read The Bell Jar. Any tips/experiences, folks?

Vansa It's a very accessible, quick read(unlike some of Plath's poems).Its not a comfortable read though and you have to keep in mind that a genuinely deeply depressed person is writing this,or it can sound entitled.Definitely worth reading 3w

More thrill, more fun, more brilliance, I'll just say more of everything to prevent myself from spoiling the experience for you! So so good! 3y

mavey @damselsgotballs The 2nd book develops on Calla and Jonah's story! It's beautiful, I loved that KA decided to take the routes she did in the series! You know, Running Wild is from Marie's POV! I feel so happy that she has taken this bold and important step in the 3rd book by trying to give us a peep into a character who wasn't liked that much💖Humanity at It's best! Love and forgiveness!💕 3y

I was afraid for Kenna so much, there were just 40 pages more before the end and the situation seemed like it had gone nowhere! And then Colleen worked her magic😭. That letter, it was heart-ripping!To learn that one unfortunately, ripped the best thing of her life herself and to realise so much later, that she could have helped!Her story was so sad! 3y

mavey @damselsgotballs Truly, a beautiful story about the importance of kindness and forgiveness. Humanity is lost without it🤧 3y

damselsgotballs @Mavey I was wrenched reading about the delivery like, how can they be so damn CRUEL and I couldn't bring myself to sympathize with Grace and Patrick no matter how much I tried to because what Kenna did was a mistake and God did she pay for it--even though she didn't deserve it, she did--but what Patrick and Grace did was deliberate and inhumane, a small part of me even resented Ledger like who does he think he is to make that kind of judgement?! 3y

damselsgotballs But then, a much bigger part of me absolutely loves him for doing what he did for her, for showing her kindness. And I also love Rowan (was it?) because he played a huge role in this whole chain of reactions which finally led to Kenna getting the justice she deserved. And then (as I mentioned in my review) all my resentment just dissolved in the last three chapters and Oh when Diem crawls into Kenna lap I teared up all over again.🥰🤧 3y

So, the 2nd book had come out in late 2019. I read in early 2021. I thought the finale would be out by the end of 2021. Now it is 2022, I was absolutely sure it would be published within this year.
Wrong again.
2023.
It's okay. Writing takes time. Writers are humans just like us.

Ugh. But still😭, I did not expect it to be 2023!
