Listened while I took a walk this morning and I'm super exhausted now🙄
I listened to the tagged book while I made some mango coulis and I love how it turned out.
Though I'm a bit worried for Frankie since she returned from 'Nam. She's not doing well in the real world and I fear she'll return to the war only to die. Fingers crossed

I love both tea and coffee but I'll choose coffee over tea any day. I prefer audio books only when I have to use my hands to do other things like baking, doing dishes... Yeah that's about it.
Almost through with the Violin Conspiracy and I feel like it shouldn't end. I wonder if there will be a movie based on it.
Sometimes when I can't get enough of the book I'm reading and I've become so attached to the book, I do all other things while reading. I eat while reading, I play the book while cooking, doing dishes , baking, and even taking a shower🚿
Who else does this?
First time learning of this quote by Whoopi Goldberg was from the tagged book.
I've wanted to read There Was A Country for the longest of times but I'm really glad to be reading it now. From what I've read so far it looks like not much has changed since the last 60 years particularly with respect to our politics. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

African Writers section of a bookshop somewhere in Kigali. I just love the burst of colors🥰😍
It has taken forever for me to post this... my reading wrap for 2023. My goal was to read 52 books and I read 39 book (75%). I'd say it was a good year 😃. I go harder this year.
The weather is quite hot in my corner of the world at the moment so frozen coffee it is.
I've been very busy I didn't get to say Merry Christmas on here. Is it too late to say merry Christmas? Well, I hope you had a merry Christmas and are enjoying the holidays.

Nobody ever knew what had happened inside a marriage apart from the two people in it.
Ps:Been a minute since I posted a quote from a book 📕. I've not read any book in an eternity because I've been super busy and life's been happening to me.
I had gone almost halfway reading the tagged book before realising that Nina Hill made a comeback in Adult Assembly Required, though not as the main character but as a friend of the main character, Laura Costello. It made a nice read but I can't understand why it took so long for me to finish reading it.
I hand painted these faux ball which I used to decorate a birthday cake while I listened to some parts of the tagged 📕😉
It was a sad truism of her work that not everyone who needs help wants help, and not everyone who gets help uses it.
My first time reading Alice Hoffman even though I've had some of her books 📚 for years😕

He was comfortable with her. He could make the sort of stupid comments that were only a little bit funny and made no sense. The kind one made when one didn‘t have to weigh every word and worry about judgment or scorn.

Listening to the tagged book while I baked this orange upside down cake for the very first time was very entertaining.
...life is lived forward but only understood backward. You can‘t see the landscape you‘re in while you‘re in it.

Very close to finishing this one. I can't understand🤷🏾 how I've ended up reading two novels in a row about married life.
One of my favourite things to do is baking while listening to a book. I started listening to the tagged book while baking my favourite lemon cake loaf. I find that my lemon cake loaf gets better with each new one I bake.
You can only forgive yourself for the mistakes you made in the past once you know you‘ll never make them again.
